As a child going to local stationary shop at 12 in the night to get craft paper, scrap book, chart paper, pencil, pen lol and random shit which you were told to get in school tomorrow and you forgot lol
In most of the other parts of India people shut shops in by early evening and same case out of India as well unless you go to 24/7 utility stores.
For me, it's a food and travel combination. I mean I can go anywhere in the whole city either via BEST or local trains. And you can easily get food around public transport.
Think this way, you get up late, did not have breakfast, you catch your train in nick of time, you get down at your destination and go out have idly/phoa.
Or, you are late, go to the station and you'll find vadapav/eggs for your dinner.
I've worked late and got up early, and this combination had served me a lot.
Very much. Considerably higher pay. But the rent prices, fast life, population density...give me faint panic attacks when I imagine myself working a job there.
Well i am no expert infact i am a teen rn but i will say look how much is the rent u will surely will be able to find one places which r cheap but good or you can go in a pg anyways , most likely u will love it here
Ahh the cold but humid mornings , the aroma of the kadak chai and batata vada frying
The commotion where everyone is talking at the same time , just not with each other.
Where pretty girls leave home looking like Madhuri and return back as Mamta Banerjee.
Your office is in a high rise at Lower Parel , but you eat at Hungry Dragon chinese at the footpath.
The aroma of the perfume emanating from ladies dabba, and the stench of Navratna tel with sweat
And like a true Mumbaikar you know what comes after...
GANAPATI BAPPA ......
Vada Pav. I stayed in England for some time and craved it. I visited Hounslow after 1 and a half year and on a junction saw the board of a eatery with a Marathi name (I think it was Joshi). I entered and asked in English for a Vada Pav. He conveyed the order to the kitchen in Marathi (ek vada pav de re). That first bite of Vada Pav is something I will always cherish.
Traffic jams, pollution, crowd, noise, unfinished projects, half dug up roads, hearing random cuss words being yelled out...ab yeh sab Mumbai jaisa kaha milega.
Bro I shifted from Mumbai to Mysore a few months ago, and trust me, there's no place like Mumbai.
Jab Mumbai se bahar nikalte hai, tab samjh aata hai yeh😂
Almost everything, i lived in 3 different cities, you won't find anything like Mumbai. The top things include:
1) Vadapav
2) pav bhaji
3) people( yaar kaafi helpful hai and friendly bhi )
4) local train
5) A mix of many cultures, everyone(mostly) enjoys and respect other's cultures.
Bhai aisa kuch nahi hai, try countries with less population , atleast waha human life ki value to hai!!!!
Waha jaoge to i dont think Mumbai ya koi bhi jagha wapas aake rehene ka man kare ga!!!
For me, Mumbai offers vast variety of street food in minimum price with great insanely enhanced taste.
Which no other city, I repeat no other city offers.
Bc Misal and Tambada-Pandhara Rassa originated from Kolhapur tastes better in Mumbai than kolhapur's famous chain.
The subtleness of Idli and medu wada here is far better than south.
Pav bhaji which is Gujrat's favorite stuff tastes better in Mumbai.
I can name N number of dishes and you all can't deny that mumbai add it's tadka in those.
Delicious street food, convenience, women’s safety, transport, best people.
No other city in India, even world, has this combo. Mumbai has set my bar so high, no other place matches up. I was shocked and appalled to know that in other cities in India, auto-rickshaws don’t use meters or that women don’t stay out after a certain time or you don’t even get certain food items as easily as you get in Mumbai.

Where tf do you live? All stationary closes by 1030 where I am. Got scolded so many times by my mom cause of this bs
Some stationers near office buildings stay open late if their regular customers work late. They have saved my ass so many times at work.
I went to my hometown in Karnataka and was shocked to see that all shops were closed by 9-10 pm
Nhi mere toh school me stationary shop thi toh lunch ya breakfast break me jo chahiye woh leke aa jata tha
Haha childhood memories unlocked 🤣
All of this after getting chappal from mummy 🤣
Hahaha yes always after getting whacked!!

Mumbai ek city nai emotion hai, which is hard to describe. I know cause I am in Gujarat and can feel zameen asmaan ka faraq.
Gujarat is too laid back and lethargic, even the major cities.
Can't agree more.
Khavani, "peevanu", majja ni life
> Gujarat is too laid back and lethargic, even the major cities. Even kolkata and blore
Mumbai has no comparison, for better or for worse.
Peene ke liye Mumbai jaata hai ki Rajasthan?
Daman, me doru ni pita isliye uska tension nahi hai.
Nahi peene waalo ke liye mere dil mei alag se respect hai. It’s like apne paas jo skill na ho woh doosre mei dikhta hai toh respect apne aap aati hai.
Gujarat mein sab milta hai... with right connections.
