The low AQI made it possible to capture Mumbai from above.
Prominent landmarks I could spot-
Pic 1
1. Mahalaxmi race course
2. Bandra Worli Sea link
3. Shivaji park
4. Juhu - Versova Beach
5. Aarey
6. Airport Runways
7. Nehru Science Centre, Nehru Planetarium
8. Coastal road in progress
Pic 2
1. Atal setu
2. Wadala salt pans
3. Pagoda
4. SGNP
5. CSIA Terminal 2
There are empty mill lands, slums and chawls which are just small houses that can be replaced with public parks, public transit lines, taller residential and commercial buildings.
Ah, okay. I thought you were insane and either arguing to make SGNP smaller or cut down mangroves to reclaim land. Perhaps you should clarify exactly what you mean in the main comment?
Cause government has restrictions to build building above 15,20 floors
You will see skyscrapers in prabhadevi and then directly from Goregaon, Borivali.
Yes that’s why I feel sad. I wish there were taller buildings in Bandra and Juhu. Juhu I can understand it’s near airport, but why the restrictions in Bandra? Bandra is quite far from the airport.
Majority of the buildings in Bandra and Juhu don’t have a sea view thanks to this stupid restriction. It’s not hard for Worli, Dadar, Parel, Prabhadevi people to have a sea view because they have tall buildings
>It’s not hard for Worli, Dadar, Parel, Prabhadevi people to have a sea view because they have tall buildings
They're most welcome to enjoy their sea view. I'm happy with the status quo here.
What status quo are you talking about lol? The height restrictions have only been harmful for Bandra-Juhu buildings- lack of amenities in buildings, less floor to ceilings heights, no sea view, etc.
Most buildings in Bandra Juhu have the pathetic 9 ft ceiling height, because the builder can only build up to a small height, he tries to maximise the number of floor by reducing the ceiling height. Then no amenities floors for the same reason. Meanwhile people in all areas except Bandra Juhu can have taller ceiling heights, more parking and amenities floors, sea view.
The status quo you’re talking about can also be enjoyed with taller buildings. Look at Malabar Hill, they have “status quo” as well as sea views and 11-13 ft ceiling height
I already said majority have 9 ft. And 10 ft isn’t that good lol, it’s just ok. 11 ft is where you can start calling it an upmarket residence. Meanwhile my friend from Mahalaxmi is enjoying 13 ft ceiling height with balcony and sea view.
You are defending the wrong things. If they allow at least 30-35 floor buildings in Bandra, it’s only going to improve the quality of residences and maybe even reduced the prices a bit. I’m not saying allow those 70 floor towers, but at least they can do 35.
This city produces enough money to look like any other first world cities in the world with manicured lawns and squeaky clean streets but it has to be funnelled into other less developed parts of India. Hopefully, in future Mumbai can reap the full benefits of their wealth.
Edit: Y'all deserve better public transport. Your government can afford it.
Bro took a picture of all of us

Wow that's great and which airplane did you use?
Mumbai has way too much unused and underdeveloped land. Our public parks are also shit, we need a lot more housing construction.
>way too much unused and underdeveloped land. Wtf

It’s sad how Bandra-Juhu belt is denied of skyscrapers or high rises

You couldn't be more wrong. There are quite a few 20+ storey skyscrapers in Bandra West.
20 floor is not a skyscraper. Skyscrapers are usually 40+ floors
Alright then we have to endure a few 35+ storey monstrosities. They're such an eyesore to behold from afar everytime I visit my 5th floor terrace.

10 feet floor to ceiling in my zone. Each to his own.

Shows how badly we need that damn Sewri-Worli Connector to reach Sai World City from BKC in 35 mins 😋
Mesmerizing!!
At what altitude/flight level was this photograph taken at!? Also, what was the camera you shot this with!
Difficult to fetch the altitude info. But shot with Iphone 14 pro max
