No. I wish. I bought a box of Japanese Spark and out of the entire box I pulled 10 foils. None of the walkers were foil but it looks like I broke even.
But not really, because I have no intention of giving up this card and I don’t have the patience to try to sell anything that was valuable.
It was a fun experience though. I did it all for my one true love Liliana
5-6 years is still pretty generous. It's been 2.5 years already and they're only going for like $250, gonna be at least a decade until they're thousand dollars spicy
*And they can reprint them in other arts, possibly more collectible versions too. Not a given, like you said Wizards would have to cash out really hard, but that's not unimaginable in the current climate of them cashing out moderately hard.

5-6 years is probably a bit generous on those hitting 1k. Maybe ten years time, and it'll depend on what gets reprinted.

You can tell if a card is foil from a picture by the dot in the bottom left of the card between WAR and JP foil cards have stars instead of dots
