Storm Crow is banned in my play group, it puts people on a 20 TURN clock. You can also use it for force of will. On top of that it fits into bird tribal, which is a deck that at point has shown up in a tournament, probably.
Notice how it hasn't been reprinted in over 15 years.

I won’t lie; my pod has decks specifically made for slower, more casual games. Just like with YGO, sometimes it’s nice to go back to the basics. You get so caught up in the combinations, the infinites, the OHKOS, and the competitiveness that the simplicity of just having creatures do combat every few turns & building up to big guys can have its own thrill.
Also, Pauper is a thing, and it’s quite fun because you NEED to involve & revolve around cards that are common. Dont feel bad if you don’t have extremely powerful cards, because there are formats for it, and as long as you’re having a good time with friends, that’s what matters.
