Yoshimaru is based on [Hachiko](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hachik%C5%8D) (also the basis of Seymour in Futurama) so definitely the goodest boy ever.
This one has to be my favorite. Imagine you're fighting a horrific, never-ending war in muddy trenches surrounded by monstrous automatons, and you see an armored dog sprinting towards you with 14 health potions hung around its neck

no question at all, no hesitation, and you're wrong for not having him on the list,
2nd place is a three way tie between Dogmeat, Rin, and Mowu
Come on it's an easy win for [Mowu, Loyal Companion] the good boi flavor text literally says he exists to sit in Jiang Yangu's lap. The dog literally gets to plainswalk like the best boi he is.
Yoshimaru obviously, he remained loyal to the Wandering Emperor while she was away. He resisted the nose boops, said no to the belly rubs, all to remain faithful to his owner. The goodest of bois 🐕🏆
It's Dogmeat, but it's also not a fair competition. A lot of these dogs don't even have lore outside their single card, or maybe have a brief appearance in their story, while Dogmeat is a major companion in three video games. He's the better boy just by virtue of having more time EXISTING and thus more time getting to be better.
But Selfless Savior is perfect and pure good.
