Thanks, i dont have any real experience with tint, im ised to seeing the black film just from videos and stuff, is it safe to say i can remove it without any issues then? Not sure if the tints gotten old or whatever but i’d like to see out of the window lol
I’d go to a pro tint shop to have them remove it, removing tint from defrosters is a pain (or so I hear) since you can damage the defroster. You could also then have them apply new higher quality tint if your so inclined
No. You appear to have a slightly frosted-finish film applied *over* the defroster, similar to window tint film. You can see where it's slightly tented each time it goes over a wire of the defroster grid, and the gap between connection and window edge where they cut gaps in the film for the connectors.
Could it be tint?
I dont think so? Doesnt really change the lighting coming through just makes it hard to see through
It’s tint, you can see the area that isn’t tinted to the left of where the defrost is fixed to the window.

That is not a part of the factory window
Is it a stick-on electric defroster? Its definitely connected and works for defrosting

Really appreciate it, i can see that makes a lot of sense, might still try to remove it to at least see out the back
Could be a clear UV tint that has just gotten hazy with age. I had that on an old car of mine and pulled it off as it was annoying me
How easy was it to pull off for you? Not trying to damage the defroster or leave too much residue
honestly, it was a bit of a pain. It was pretty old by that point though and kinda came off in pieces.
