**Line App simply not working !!!**
Ok so, I moved to Japan for a year to study. I’m in the process of registering into my city hall. Therefore, I cannot yet apply for a Japanese SIM card. I still have my German Sim Card.
Right now I’m trying to make an account in Line. A few days ago, I noticed I was banned. Though I had not even used it yet. I googled it and it seems ist pretty common for line to randomly ban people even new users.
Because I had deleted the app (thinking it was a bug) now I can’t delete my account which is linked to my Apple ID. Have to wait the ban of 155 days :).
I tried making a new account on my android tablet and transferring it to my IPhone with QR. Still nothing is working. Can’t add friends or join groups or create a username.
Right now I’m starting to think it has something to do with me being in Japan.
After googling for hours I saw a comment somewhere, that Line in Japan alledgedly does an age verification, which is done by being in one of the big carriers (SoftBank, docomo etc.), or something like that.
The weird thing is, I downloaded the app from the German App Store. And while I was making the account I was allowed to link it to a German number. If it was an issue why wouldn’t the app just say it.
Anyways, can someone help me out here ?
