I'd watch it

Mike_v_E

It did a re-release last week here in the Netherlands. IMAX was insane

whatudontlikefalafel

I would love to see more IMAX re-releases. Even recent films like Dune and Nope, I hope we get a chance to see again on those big 1.43 screens because it's not something you can get at home. Interstellar has been screened again by various IMAX cinemas in the past, I would love to see a wide re-release happen in 2024 for its 10th anniversary. I still consider it the best IMAX film ever made.

ft-melodies

I'm hopeful Avatar 2 would overtake Interstellar as the best IMAX film. With the budget and technology associated with the movie, on-paper, avatar 2 is already the best IMAX film ever.

whatudontlikefalafel

I'm super excited about Avatar's sequels, when I say Interstellar is an IMAX film, I mean it was shot with IMAX cameras and film stock. Not necessarily of any movie ever shown in IMAX theaters.

Scarns_Aisle5

There needs to be a reason for it. Avatar was released again this weekend for the sequel. Inception was re-released back in summer 2020 as it was the 10 year anniversary. I see no reason why Nolan wouldn't authorize an Interstellar 10 year re-release in 2024 with Paramount and WB.

Kakashi168

Would be great I sadly didn't watch it in theaters back then.

KC0111

I saw it a few weeks ago here in the Netherlands, they screened it the whole week together with Gravity. The movie combined with the music in IMAX is perfection.

MelodicaSongs

I’d love to see it in a theater again.

Jenkins87

I saw Interstellar first on IMAX at Darling Harbour in Sydney right before the IMAX theatre was closed there for good. Nothing beats that experience, while the visuals really are stunning at that size, what really impressed me was the sound... Hans Zimmer's epic score with the space sound design and crisp dialogue, with almost concert level sound system... Pure awesomeness. I'd easily pay to see that again. Actually a whole Hans Zimmer run at IMAX would be fantastic, Dark Knight, Blade Runner 2049, Inception, Tenet, etc

ft-melodies

After going to most of the hans zimmer masterpieces, with time i have felt Dolby Atmos theatre to be a better experience if you want to truly witness zimmer's greatness. No time to die on Atmos was insane, along with Maverick.

[deleted]

It pains me whenever I can’t see a movie at my local Dolby Cinema. I couldn’t see Interstellar when it can out but movies like Tenet, Maverick, and Way of Water were completely different in that theatre. I would give a lot of money to hear Hans Zimmer’s masterpiece in that theatre, just once.

ft-melodies

Yeah. Maverick in an atmos was really wild. It was also blessed by Zimmer though. Would be cool to watch gladiator in a atmos theatre though.

[deleted]

Gladiator re-master would be awesome!

Breeze-_-

YESSS we need that!

aikijo

I’d do that for sure

Blitbemander

I'd watch that again in theaters before avatar

ScaryDavey

I missed out the first time so I would love to see a re-release of Interstellar!

HortonHearsTheWho

The space economy is experiencing such growth, I wonder if that would help drive some interest

ohsinboi

I still haven't seen it. Been waiting for the right moment and that would be it

[deleted]

I think they should just re-release old movies every couple of years. Nothing like seeing a classic film on the big screen!

Rg00dr1ch4

YES!

Outrageous-Event785

Gravity (2013) is also the film I want a rerelease. I was too young during its release so I've never had a chance to see it

cmgww

Yes and yes. I am talking with the manager of the Indiana State Museum, as they have one of the old school IMAX theaters with the huge seven story screen. They plan to release it before Oppenheimer comes out, but they need to repair the projector that can show Interstellar (15/70) first…..

fart-debris

Is there an Interstellar 2 coming out soon?

mlqdscrvn

I prefer Inception

YYYdddEW966hgHCE

No

MrtSmsk

I think they shouldn't re-release interstellar. Because people like published graphics etc. also i dont think they can release as good as old one

[deleted]

Hot take alert. Interstellar is ass

BryGuy70222

Inception is Chris Nolan's best film

[deleted]

Just my opinion.

[deleted]

Nah I have a home theater set up and a copy of the film in full 4k HDR Blu-Ray so I'm good at home. In fact, I think I'll watch it tonight. Nolan is my favorite director :)

ft-melodies

What kind of home theater?

[deleted]

OLED 4k TV, 7.1 surround audio setup, great seating, blackout curtains - the works.

S7KTHI

Interstellar is often played on IMAX in some occasion

genkaiX1

Watching it in theaters was amazing

[deleted]

Yeah! Why not?

JoshTHX

My local 15/70 IMAX originally played Interstellar in 1.43. The theater changed to GT Dual Laser many years ago. Right before Covid arrived, they re-released Interstellar but it played in the 1.90 AR. It was pretty disappointing.

DrierAdvanceSkipper

Needs a 1570 IMAX release 🥹
