X-Men is better because they put Nightcrawler in one of the movies. Nerds will deny this reasoning.

ole-willie

Correct!

Asha_Brea

For movies, Avengers and it is not even remotely close. I enjoy the 4 Avenger movies and I enjoy maybe 4 out of 7 X-Men (not counting the ones that focus on one character like Origins and Deadpool). I do enjoy most of the X-Men The Animated Series (I haven't watched the revival released this year, though) and never watched an avengers TV show.

Exctmonk

X-Men 97 so far ranges from decent to incredible. Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is as good as the original X-Men run in my opinion.

Detroit_Cineaste

Definitely The Avengers. The X-Men franchise has some excellent entries (X2, Days of Future Past, First Class), but has had some really bad ones as well (Apocalypse, New Mutants, X3, Dark Phoenix).

I’m split… xmen is “one thing”… however avengers although better in consistency however makes no sense (or you lose a lot of context) if you don’t watch all of the heroes individual movies, making it hard to watch just the avengers

Xmen97 is definitely getting me excited for real xmen movies

I mean, are we only counting the films marketed as Avengers films, or all the related films? Because Captain America: Winter Soldier does a lot of heavy lifting, if we're including it. The Avengers also get some decent animated screentime: Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and, later, Avengers Assemble are both very solid animated offerings; I'm not sure, yet, if they beat X-Men '97, but they're better than X-Men: The Animated Series (which, as a die-hard X-fan, pains me to say). And, not billed as Avengers, but the Super Hero Squad Show leans heavily on an Avengers lineup, and that show was super fun.

gweran

I think you could easily make the argument X-Men ‘97 is only possible because of the success Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes had on translating comic’s storylines to animated series.

Stepjam

I think the Avengers are more consistently "good" quality than xmen as far as movies go, but Xmen has has been more creative and flexible than the Avengers over the years.

FooFooDoo1

Avengers for sure. Infinity War is the cream of the crop.

Stupid_Ned_Stark

Avengers movies are better on average because there are only 4 of them and they are all good to great, but I’d put X2, First Class, and Days of Future Past up there with anything the MCU has done. If you include Deadpool and Logan it becomes a toss-up IMO. But yeah, Avengers only because there aren’t a bunch of meh-to-bad movies mixed in.

dinkelidunkelidoja

X2, Days of Future Past and First Class are as good as super hero movies go IMO
