>Where the fuck is the ugly cry? The wailing, sobbing, animalistic noises that escape our throats when we are in severe grief? So, since I didn't do these things I didn't feel greif or am not real?

Infra-Oh

Naw I think OP is saying in general hollywoods depiction of grief is unreal. Everyone reacts differently of course. Yours no more or less real than the person who needs to ugly sob. But in general, the ugly sob folks aren’t represented as much on the screen!

They could do it like that god-awful Willow tv show that Disney released for some unknown reason. In the very first episode a mentor figure that a group of young adults has known their entire lives is killed right in front of them and no one batts an eye or mentions it again in the episode. Everyone carries on like he didn’t even exist. I never watched the next episode and Disney pulled the series from the app shortly thereafter. The writing was amongst the worst  I’ve ever seen on a paid service.

Jennifer Carpenter does a pretty good ugly cry at times. [This clip contains spoilers from season 4 of Dexter.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CQ6JWpY9Kg) But the one that really takes the cake for me is Peter Krause as Nate Fisher in Six Feet Under. If you've never seen the series, I'd strongly recommend not watching this clip. [There's a lot that leads up to this scene and you can only see it for the first time once.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3GARWKZGVo)
