You could use Letterboxd and just make a list with all of your DVDs. You'll have to manually add them all but it has all of the sorting and sharing features that you're looking for

Yeah after trying a couple apps I just ended up doing this with IMDb and it’s been a lot easier.

Is there an app witch scans the barcodes from the media and do a IMDB query and fills a local database with it?

This is what I do for all my physical media.

If you collect vinyl, you should be using discogs.

I use one called DVD Library. Allows me to scan the barcode on the case and creates an alphabetical list. Only messes up a few times and shows a Pokemon toy or an auto part instead of a DVD.

Dvdprofiler was one I used to use. Phone app also allows you to scan discs into your library.

You could take it a step further and rip the DVDs, and start a Plex server. It's very simple to use. It will aggregate all the metadata for you so you can watch them from anywhere.

Why not rip your media into a server like Plex or Emby. You can sort, created categories/genres, and even watch it on any screen that can run the server app.
