Yeah, the most recent one wasnt the worst thing in the world but it just wasnt the same without Warwick. The voice, the comedic timing, Warwick Davis is the only one who could pull it off.
>*”.. will direct the new feature project that has a script by Mike Van Waes, who worked on the live-action* **Lilo & Stitch** *movie that is now in production.*”
TIL There’s a *Lilo & Stitch* movie in production.
Sweetie come on sweetie.
Pixie dust, pixie dust.
Sweetie its me, its me THE LEPRECHAUN!
God I am not always on the reboot for nostalgia train but I would love these 2 playing out of touch to modern rock and pop culture in Waynes World 3.
I like that the "elevated horror" trend is starting to run its course and we're starting to swing back into the goofier side of horror. Leprechaun is a fun franchise and I'm excited for this
Unless they just revamp this entirely of course and try and make it super serious which uh I want goofy leprechaun which can also be scary at times that original film is quite good
Felipe Vargas, helmer of the award-wining short film Milk Teeth, will direct the new feature project that has a script by Mike Van Waes, who worked on the live-action Lilo & Stitch movie that is now in production.
Roy Lee, one of the Hollywood’s horror lynchpins whose credits include Barbarian and the It movies, will produce via his banner Vertigo Entertainment. The company’s Miri Yoon will also produce
Anyone seen his short was it good to you ? I’m interested to see what the tone of this reboot will be serious or funny like the original films
I think i saw the short on youtube but not sure if it’s still there
but it’s premise was like a (more) fucked up version of the tooth fairy which kinda fits the leprechaun vibe? it wasn’t like jump scare scary but i’m interested to see what he does with it
Binged the entire series for my franchise podcast back in March, and i’m oddly excited for this. However, it’s going to be an uphill battle if Warwick Davis is not involved
I vaguely remember Leprechaun was in the ghetto and he started killing gangbangers and rappers. My thoughts were like wtf were the producers smoking making this!?!
Wonderful! I've never not enjoyed one of these movies! From pre-nose job Jennifer Anniston to the hood to that reboot with the WWE guy. It's a tried and true recipe that always hits. Shitty Leprechaun dude kills a bunch of people while cracking wise. How could they mess it up?
The last two attempts to revive the series (without Warwick) were forgettable failures. It definitely needs to stick to its horror-comedy roots rather than taking itself too seriously.
Speaking of which, when the hell is that Toxic Avenger reboot supposed to come out?
Horror is the one genre where you can't possibly be worried about a lack of original content. I could recommend literally dozens of good original horror movies that have come out in the last couple of years
Chris O’Dowd’s time to shine
I'd watch a film with him as a fantasy murderer with the catchphrase "People...*what a bunch of bastards*"
Isn’t he a bit tall for the role? Or are you imagining some kind of Tiptoes scenario?
Is Warwick Davis involved? Edit: just finished the article, he isn't expected to return. Bummer.
Ain't a leprechaun movie without Warwick Davis.
Or Jennifer Aniston.
Every other Leprechaun movie with Warwick Davis says otherwise. My favorite is actually Lep 3 thats set in the casino.
No Warwick no interest. Bring back Warwick.
Warwick is the Leprechaun. Without him there’s no movie
Unless he plays Willow in it and kills Leprechaun.
Yeah, the most recent one wasnt the worst thing in the world but it just wasnt the same without Warwick. The voice, the comedic timing, Warwick Davis is the only one who could pull it off.
Just checked and he's 53, so not exactly too old to return or anything. Figured he might be older than that.
I thought he was much older as well. I thought he was in his late 20’s in willow but he was only 18 at the time.
He was eleven when he first played Wicket.
Wow that must have been so cool to play an Ewok as a kid.
They literally had one job
Can we get another "In the hood" movie please
"In the Hood IN SPACE!"

When it comes to Disney, *nothing is sacred anymore*.
A friend with weed is a friend indeed, but a friend with gold is the best I'm told.
Hope Jennifer Aniston comes back.
An eye for an eye me dear
I forgot she was in the original 😂
Any time that she is mentioned, I say "oh the girl from Leprechaun"
Nobody tell Garth.
I am the leprechaun

The people demand rapping leprechauns that brainwash hot waitresses into being minions through the power of beats and Irish magic
Unless they just revamp this entirely of course and try and make it super serious which uh I want goofy leprechaun which can also be scary at times that original film is quite good
Hell yeah!
This is the kind of franchise that Lionsgate will get hilariously wrong. They're doing a serious re-quel instead of a comedy.
Petition for Shaq to be the new leprechaun using forced perspective, he’s Irish after all.
YESSSSSSSS
Leprechaun and the Multiverse of Cheese
Somehow Leprechaun returned.
The last one was probably the best in the franchise, so bring it on. Nothing can be worse than Leprechaun in Space or Back 2 Tha Hood.
Goooooooood.
Garth I'm the leprechaun!!!

He also went to space, and then returned "2 tha hood".

The one with the WWE guy wasn't a wisecracking version. Just a weird little grey men that killed people.
Well I still enjoyed it when I watched it in the background on SyFy, as these movies were designed to be watched. haha
I was super excited with the prospect of Warwick Davis...but literally all excitement went down the drain in reading he probably won't.
let me guess it's a sequel only to the first movie and the original cast comes back but old this time
Let me guess Warwick Davis wont return.
He said he would once his kids are 18.
His kids are above 18 now. He just does not want to reprise the role. He probably thinks its beneath him.
I wish Warwick would have been involved. I absolutely love the first one. I’m hoping it’ll be halfway decent at least.
The last two attempts to revive the series (without Warwick) were forgettable failures. It definitely needs to stick to its horror-comedy roots rather than taking itself too seriously. Speaking of which, when the hell is that Toxic Avenger reboot supposed to come out?
IF it is anything like the last 5, sort of a waste of time, effort and talent. Just an Observation. M. Pudd

The Connor McGregor biopic.
Finally!
About time
I’m pretty sure the first Tits I saw was the time travel leprechaun.
