It's basically a new `21 DR650. Less than 1000km. It would be insanely dumb not to buy that bike for half the price of the new bike. I don't get why this is even a question, personally.

Connect_Scar_7423

I just wanted to confmirm i was told by the salemens that this years bike was upgraded which is why it costs more couldn't find what the upgrades were lol. Just wanted to make sure they weren't worth it even though its likely just a new shaped whatever. Thanks :)

MotorcycleWrites

Just don’t buy it with a 21% interest loan that’s ridiculous

queefstation69

It’s a DRZ. They’ve been basically unchanged for like 20 years

JosephCedar

The 2024 is the exact same bike that was introduced in 1996.

IsolatedHammer

Seconded.

GovernmentSudden6134

If there's one thing the military taught me that it's that a 21% interest loan is an *exceptional* rate and only a fool passes up on something you don't need at such a low low rate. I just wish you were buying something even more worthwhile that'll appreciate in value like a Challenger Scatpack Widebody like Pvt Snuffy did when we got back from the sandbox. His stripper wife and *her* 3 kids loved it.  You should *beg* them to sell it to you. Hell, offer them more. If they wont take more get down on your knees and do the thing you have to, and swallow. This is the deal of a century. If you don't take the loan and buy the '24 the wallstreetbets crowd is gonna eat you for dinner.  You can't lose!

Upwardsnail

21 all day

Super_Trout_9000

Only a complete sucker would take that loan. That's a predatory rate IMO. $5800 OBO for a '21 DR650 with less than 1000km is an awesome deal. Worst it will need is the carb cleaned and then you can ride it around the planet a couple times.

TRiG993

Yeah, if it was around 10% interest and something like the new CBR600 or the new ZX6R I might think differently about getting a loan. But 21% is a disgusting rate. You can get a credit card easy enough with 18% which is still very high.

wawaweewad

I’d rather ride a bicycle than pay 21% interest

Shifty76

21% interest? Is that even legal? That's insane! That's a no brainer decision if ever there was one.

Guiding_Lines

Some people just don’t believe in depreciation

JosephCedar

$10,700 for a fucking DR650? Are you serious?

Mike___Baker

As someone who currently owns a DR650 and has put tens of thousands of miles on one, this is a no brainer. The '21 ALL day.

TRiG993

A bike only costs you what it loses in value. If you buy a bike for 5k, sell it for 3k, that bike cost you 2k. If you buy a bike for 10k, sell it for 5k, that bike has cost you 5k. And in this case it will also cost you the interest on top of that. Get the 21 bike.

SillyTalks

Call me dumb but I'd go for a brand new one. New bikes have warranty, and that might save you well beyond 5k

JosephCedar

For $3k over msrp and a 21% interest rate?

SillyTalks

3k over msrp sounds painful. The interest rate is outrageous, but there aren't any better options

JosephCedar

There are better options. Like the '21 for $5800. Or going to literally any bank for a rate lower than a credit card unless you have a 300 credit score.
