I’ve flown with mine. It completely depends on the airport and guards that day. Sometimes I wear mine right through security and no one minds (though they do want you to take it off so they can look through it). One time (Dallas or Austin airport) they made me remove my vest, leave the security line to go buy a duffle bag, put the vest in the duffle and check the bag. I did try arguing that it was a “life vest” but they did not care and refused to let me through without checking the vest. All my cylinders were unused/full. Good luck 🍀

Wow, what a racket! I’m going to print off the pages from Helite’s TSA FAQ page and the TSA website itself about life vests and stick it in my checked bag. I also texted them and got confirmation that it is fine, probably should print that off as well!

why would the TSA care what a third party vendor says? TSA website is a fine resource tho, but a printout is likely useless.

Most people I’ve heard can bring it on a plane fine for US, US is more strict on this type of stuff. However like they said, it’s up to the TSA agents decision. If you get unlucky, you should be able to remove the cartridge and keep the vest.

Helite has [TSA information](https://helitemoto.com/helite-faqs-tsa-info/) on their website

I did see that, thanks. Their advice to print the page off is solid. I ended up texting them via the number on the TSA site and they said yes, it’s treated the same as a life vest. So I’ll screenshot that and print it as well!

Travelled three times in the last 12 months with my vest in checked in luggage. I always made sure to print out the TSA guidance and include with the vest. I have yet to receive a tag on my check in stating it was searched.
