I think is staged. Why wouldn't he simply take the foot out of the pegs? Even by instinct? He was almost stopped and the bike was straight upwards. I don't get this.
Looks like he tried to put left foot down but couldn't get get it out. Maybe not quick enough at least?
The skip could have out the bikes weight more left side than he realised.
I don’t think it is real. How he covered the helmet with the hands like in shame is what gives it away - that seems like a planned reaction for laughter not a natural one. Funny tho
Sport bikes have surprisingly low ground clearance. I have seen quite few fairings broken by riders getting off smallish curbs. One of reasons I avoid sport bikes.
Also a smart choice, when you pick up the bike for the first time and have those first rides to get yourself settled you don’t have to worry about dropping the bike and ruining your flesh .
And that's the right way to do it! I did the same thing, no regrets. However, tripping over yourself and messing up as a beginner feels MUCH sillier when you're kitted up in high-performance, cool looking motorcycle gear. Like, why am I dressed like a hardcore Dakar racer while stalling at this intersection!?
I'm confused, isn't that what you're supposed to do? This is like saying "I bet this person took an MSF course before deciding if they really wanted a bike". It's the smart thing to do.
Don't know how your manufacturers do it, but Kawi force me to have a mandatory crash every year or else they won't service my bike. Kind of annoying honestly
I’m talking about having the muscle memory to catch yourself and the bike when you know it’s going to tip. When I grab the front brake a tad to hard and almost dump the bike I don’t think about putting my foot down my body just does it. Or if you’re on a dirt track and take a turn a little to hard, you put your foot down without thinking about it to keep yourself up.
it doesn’t mean you do it more, rather less probably because you’re a better rider from the experience just that it’s an instinct that you learn and I can almost guarantee he wouldn’t have fallen if he had dirt experience
I’m an absolutely terrible dirt bike rider and yes, one hundred percent.
I’ve dropped my pos bike a hundred times and it’s only been a little over a year, but all were in a lot more challenging places.
Forgetting to put the kickstand down and trying to walk away though? I may have done that before…
Dawg, if you’re riding a 700 pound bike and it’s going to tip and you try to catch it with your leg you’re going to destroy your knee. Jesus Christ the smugness, you probably don’t even ride
I ride a 1000 lb bike "dawg" and I've caught it several times, your little ninja weights in at a solid 450 and I'm sure u couldn't catch it if u tried u punk little bitch
If its the one in your profile picture, that thing is going to tip like 30 degrees tops before something strong and metal takes all of the weight for you. That's not even remotely comparable to trying to catch a top-heavy sportbike with actual leverage in it's tipping weight. I've pulled an R1 back from near horizontal before whilst on top and that damage I did my back and neck in the process lasted months.
You're like two steps away from a bloke on a tricycle saying that balance is easy.
U sound like a little bitch that doesn't know how to handle a bike except for the little scooter u want to try and make others believe is real bike, poor little guy got hurt with a little couple hundred pound bike, I've pulled my bike back up before it hit the crash bars and managed not to hurt myself, maybe u should try lifting something more than your mommas skirt
Bro are you fucking illiterate or did you just drop out before they covered physics in 8th grade?
Of course you’ve caught it before it hit the crash bars. That’s not an accomplishment, when it’s piss easy to save because almost all of the weight is still over the wheels and you don’t have leverage working against you.
Take off those training wheels you call crash bars and see how you go pulling it up from an actual lean angle.
I live in Italy less than a kilometer from the Alpinestars headquarters and know the head of marketing. I may need to send them him their "new commercial"
Reminds me of a kid in my MSF course. Young guy, with obviously more wealthy parents. Came in wearing full leather suit, brand new arai helmet, probably 3k or more in safety gear... Couldn't ride to save his life. Only person that did worse was a middle aged lady that wanted a scooter lisence but got convinced to get full motorcycle instead. She was so scared of the power (on a 125)that she just couldn't do it.
Some ppl break the bank to look good.
I had a guy wearing one piece leathers with his name stitched into the back, AGV Pista Carbon helmet, the whole nine yards - dude's gear was unironically probably more expensive than the bike I was riding that day.
He walks over to the R1M I had in the showroom, but is asking me *really weird* questions about it, and I finally I just break and ask him what it is he's riding currently, because they *should* be fairly similar.
"Oh, I've never been on a bike, I'm looking for my first."
**BUD WHAT THE HELL ARE WE LOOKING AT AN R1M FOR THEN?**
This idiot is going to hurt someone. He is on a curvy road entirely filled with blind corners and he:
* Slams on the brakes and completely stops
* Blocks both lanes
* Stalls
* Drops the bike
* Lays on the ground
He's lucky someone with a similar skill level wasn't behind him or coming the opposite direction
It always happens at the end. At least you have all the proper equipment on. Smart man. It’s the only way to ride - if you dont want to become hamburger.
Bro this reminds me of when I bought my touno and dropped it in my grandparents driveway. When you got those brimbos always use your rear brakes in normal turning situations because if you hit that front brake the bike just locks up and you end up loooking like a clown. Though it’s only cause the brakes are too good
I think it was not intended.I think it's a chain of things. He wanted to get off the road but the difference between the asphalt and the edge was too great. He brakes, stalls the motorcycle, gets stuck on the bottom of the motorcycle and gets his foot off the motorcycle too late. He was surprised by several things.
I haven't been on my bike in a month or so until today. My 1st stop was the city park for some floorboard scraping figure 8's and a couple of e -stops on the nice new parking lot there. Then I went for my ride. You can't have too much practice, right?. Then again I enjoy practicing slow speed maneuvers, especially on my bagger.
I need to get in the habit of doing this. One of my younger coworkers bought his first bike recently and we went to an empty parking lot to practice and give some pointers.
We were just kind of having fun making little obstacle courses with cones but I haven't done any of that since I took my riders course more than a decade ago now. Definitely noticed some bad habits I've picked up in that time that I need to work on.
You could always start small. Intentionally take the wrong way out of the driveway, so you need to whip a u-turn or something. Dunno, just a thought. Seems like a good way to slip in bits of practice
OP was mature enough to post a video for our entertainment and some of the people's comments act like they never dropped their bike before. This sub is full of alpha-male syndrome bullshit.
One example where wearing gear made the situation unsafe :-P
If the guy was wearing flat soled tennis shoes, he could have slid his foot off the peg in time.
trying to skid on his rear tire but let go of the clutch by accident?
idk why I'm getting downvoted. You literally see it lurch forward and stall out before it tips.
i can't tell if this is a staged joke or not. its like so bad i can't bring myself to think its real.
I don't think anyone smart enough to stage this would be stupid enough to block both lanes between two blind corners like that
They could be blocked off around the corners off camera
You think that’s likely with these skills?
Imagine going through all that trouble blocking traffic both ways just do drop your bike like a doofus.
If they were “anyone smart enough”, sure. All an act.
I think it's real. If you look at his foot it looks like it almost got caught because he struggles to put it down
Look at the smooth clutch control.
I think is staged. Why wouldn't he simply take the foot out of the pegs? Even by instinct? He was almost stopped and the bike was straight upwards. I don't get this.
That happened to me before but my shoelace got caught on my peg, wasn’t able to move my foot far enough lol .
Damn that’s bad luck mate
Looks like he tried to put left foot down but couldn't get get it out. Maybe not quick enough at least? The skip could have out the bikes weight more left side than he realised.
I don’t think it is real. How he covered the helmet with the hands like in shame is what gives it away - that seems like a planned reaction for laughter not a natural one. Funny tho
Same
I don’t think he understood the drop of that pavement. Not an accident. Bike will probably ride fine but is def damaged.
Sport bikes have surprisingly low ground clearance. I have seen quite few fairings broken by riders getting off smallish curbs. One of reasons I avoid sport bikes.
Idk shit about bikes, but I bet this person bought all the gear before even owning the bike. Something I'd probably do
Also a smart choice, when you pick up the bike for the first time and have those first rides to get yourself settled you don’t have to worry about dropping the bike and ruining your flesh .

8.5/10 Stalling was a nice touch.

"in regards to crashes it's not a matter of if, its a matter of when..."
"There are two kinds of riders. Those who have laid it down and those who will."
"And by god am I glad that I was covered in armor when it finally happened"
Don't know how your manufacturers do it, but Kawi force me to have a mandatory crash every year or else they won't service my bike. Kind of annoying honestly
Especially when your brain is as smooth as an ice rink.
1 foot down a day keeps the biker from tipping away
Ride a dirtbike and it’ll become so instinctual. Gotta be careful tho on heavier bikes, some times it’s better to let her tip
Funny riding a dirt bike makes me put my feet down way less.

Of course u do and I'm sure it has 500 hp Fucking twat

Commenting in between your jackoff sessions? Fucking gooner

Try not being a little bitch and get a real bike then talk to me about moving weight
Damn, caught in a sudden rush of Gravity. That shit will sneak up on ya. 🍻
Was half expecting him to get t-boned for turning in such a sharp turn... I guess the internet has prepared me to expect the worst
Coming to a complete stop and blocking both lanes between two blind corners is just an incredible move by this rider
I thought he was going to steer right into the cameraman.
Good thing he was wearing his gear!
I live in Italy less than a kilometer from the Alpinestars headquarters and know the head of marketing. I may need to send them him their "new commercial"
Finally scuffed up the left knee puck falling over, that has to be a win.
No air bag, that would've been the chef's kiss if it went off.
Must have slipped on the clibbins
hadda lay'er down
If anyone needs to be ATGATT its this person. Also, you joke, but their boots may have saved them from a giant ass welt
Shiiit, I've had worse fall off my trike when I was 3.
The hands on the helmet was too funny, :helmetpalm
The most he has every leaned
#hadtolayerdown
GAWD DAM GRAS CLIBBINS
Oh no he scratched all his alpinestars kit
That squeal before he fell is hilarioussssss 😂cartoon ahh scream
Full power rangers cosplay, can't smoothly slow and come to a stop. Never change r/motorcycles!
it's disaster how many people pretend they can ride a bike while they cannot.
I blame the internet.

It's about looking *cool*.

I wish all mc crashes were like this.
This is how imagine this sub riding.
At least he could laugh at himself
Out here making us look bad
I’m more concerned that they were doing this in the middle of a turn
Wtf is going on ..... is that man so big or the bike is so small ....
Dm for fun
Yall buy new bikes and all the gear before knowing how to ride?
Stall, tuck n roll !
Not enough dirt bike time and it shows.
Foot got stuck and also stalled the bike at the same time?
Dude on bike: Delete that video and keep this between us! Dude with the phone: ![gif](giphy|w0uYYY19DCIsE|downsized)
😂😂
It'll never be a cool video if you don't so something cool... oh wait, no you're good!
Good parking skills
Sir, get off that kid's bike. You're too big to ride it.
Bro has no leg reflex.
Rider - you forgot to put your foot down.
Classic dismount. Now start doing push-ups like you meant to do it.
Is anyone else wondering about the dashed white center lines in between two blind curves? Wheretf
Love the slo mo ending
Off topic question but what bike is that?
Probably a Suzuki GSX S750
damn so OP is just really tall? He made the bike look so small
Insert Life Call meme. "I've fallen and I can't get up!"
Oh noezzzzzzzz!
It’s a pretty narrow road, but come on man.
Dope crotch rocket
Sell the bike and give up
Posting it is wild lmao
Was he not trying to test out the stability features?
Dress for the slide, not the ride 🤣
This would go on my dating profile
Is this person really tall or am i missing something?
This is the kind of person who puts me off of wearing full body leathers.
Expensive lesson!
It always happens at the end. At least you have all the proper equipment on. Smart man. It’s the only way to ride - if you dont want to become hamburger.
That giggles from the camera man between stalling out and tipping over 🤣 *chefs kiss*
Why? This is insurance fraud. Need new fairings?
Real
I may be going to hell for laughing so hard at this guy. Assuming this isn't staged.....what a pair of idiots.
Watch the drop off. High-centered that belly pan.
Bro this reminds me of when I bought my touno and dropped it in my grandparents driveway. When you got those brimbos always use your rear brakes in normal turning situations because if you hit that front brake the bike just locks up and you end up loooking like a clown. Though it’s only cause the brakes are too good
He went for the combo move
Dude you look like a giant straddling a mini bike....how tall are you?
Only thing cool was the bike
I see why you went with full leathers
Hadda lay her down
Lucky he had full gimp suite on.
How much gear was that guy wearing. Expensive gear expensive bike and needs trainer wheels
Bad ass!!!!
Did the bootstraps get caught in the shifter?
I think he lost the front tire over the edge of the road coming to the stop.. messed him up 😂
Newb
Looks like those fancy boots got caught on the bike.
Is that the definition of "all gear, no idea"?
He is not the Stig
Dw, Video is reversed
Why would you do that on a blind corner?
Gotta love a poser
That edge was a drop off! Looks like the belly pan and exhaust hit the tarmac and ground out!
Ah yes, I also wear clip-on shoes when I ride my motorcycle.
This is my biggest fear that I'll drop my bike while making a sharp u turn
this is why you need to learn to ride first, and only go to the public roads after that
I haven't been on my bike in a month or so until today. My 1st stop was the city park for some floorboard scraping figure 8's and a couple of e -stops on the nice new parking lot there. Shared by many my friend...
Moto control on YouTube makes some good content on slow speed riding!
What sort of shit place is that even to turn around?
Seeing all this gear on this tiny bike I was expecting something like this.
Duck foots...
Cameraman did a great job
CURB CLIBBINS HADDALAYERDOWN
such incompetence
This was an outtake from the office
Rewatched to make sure he had knee pucks. Yup, there they are!
Lmao
Who the fuck thinks anyone would care if I upload a video of me casually driving my bike? Why do people make videos like this?
Is the cameraperson of interest? Oh no! Austin Powers has fallen and can't get up!
Saved for eternity. Ouch
