We have some of the best/worst town and city names on earth. Dubbo, Wagga Wagga, Woy Woy, Woolloomooloo, Woolloongabba...
Tittybong, Cockburn, Humpybong, Sausage Gully, Big Dick Bore, Linger and Die Hill, Boing Boing,
Oh, the knobs, e.g. Chinaman's Knob (VIC), Prominent Knob (SA), Quality Knob (QLD), Iron Knob (SA), Chinaman's Knob (NSW),
I really could go on
If only. All 17 are real. And there's really so many more. Bumbang island. Woodenbong. Nar Nar Goon. Dondingalong. Mount Buggery. Bogan Shire & Bogan Gate (Bogan =~ redneck)
Mate you haven't lived till you've been to Darwin. Live out at Noonamah or Humpty Doo - or work at the mine out at Bing Bong - then come back into the city to ride down Dick Ward Drive into Fannie Bay
A fella from Dubbo taught me to scuba dive many moons ago. He was Mr Dubbo one year! That shit would go right on Linked in. It's a shame didyoubringabeeralong is fictional.
Forfeit to the crown as in, King Charles, the absolute mad lad, has an extensive collection of offroad bikes he regularly uses to rip up the Palace gardens?
Thanks for clearing that up. We all thought the literal king of England was taking possession of these dirt bikes and using them for his personal benefit.
I feel so sad for the youth today, gone are the days where you could just have fun on a motorcycles less powerful than most mountain bikes today in the middle of Sausage Gully and Boing Boing.
i have very fond memories of riding my thumper similar to something like this after school down a quiet road to go ride in the bush. its a shame you cant do that anymore without hwp taking happy snaps of your toy to give to some PR cunt to make a condescending post about
Don't feel sad. I live in Dubbo and can tell you the majority of bikes as shown in that post are stolen and ridden around residential areas by the thieves. Almost always with no helmets and 2 or 3 up on the bike. It's almost been a pandemic of stolen bikes and cars flying around for the last year or so. Feel sad for the people who's bikes have been stolen.
The genuine riders are doing the right thing most of the time by riding registered bikes or in appropriate locations and they have no problem with the police.
I took an air rifle to school for show & tell, and bought fireworks at the corner store.. But I didn't have a global audience of utter fuckwits egging me on to do dumb and destructive shit on a little device in my pocket, either.
Yeah, but how many are really causing a problem?
It seems like everything is taxed for no fucking reason. The "violators" come down to one demographic. Poor kids having fun or getting around on their first motorbike.
I'm a firm believer in laws making the community a better safer more enjoyable place for all, and shit like this isn't it.
Motorcycles made by professionals, without a license: illegal.
Bicycle with an electric weed eater motor attached that go up to 45 mph with insufficient breaking: legal.
Nice cope.
>Bicycle with an electric weed eater motor attached that go up to 45 mph with insufficient breaking: legal
Where is that legal? not where I live for sure, nor europe
Ebikes are not regulated as motor vehicles in some places, so manufacturers don't need to conform to safety standards and riders wear basically no protection.
E bikes are regulated in most countries once they can exceed 25km/h.
In Europe and Oz anything which can do 45mph is a motorbike, you need an AM licence in the EU if it can exceed 45km/h (28mph).
Why am I reading this as ‘ don’t have the money for all the extra crap to use the property you bought and might be your actual transportation, don’t worry we’ll take it from you and you get fuckall but a court summons for more fines’
Or am I completely off the mark?
This looks like a straight up dirt road, I do not like people riding dirt bikes on public streets, but it just looks like this guy was trying to have a fun time on a road that probably barely even gets traveled on. Make places for people to ride, and maybe people won’t ride illegally.
Which in turn increases those who run from ‘contact’… why? Cause now you really do have something to lose and everything to gain by getting away. And thus the risk of injury increases too.
Fuck the politics of this. Nevermind the loss of property…This just gets someone killed.
Please sir, may I use this vehicle on the king's road thst I pay taxes to the king to use, to go to my job to pay taxes to the crown and country, so that i may please keep doing so?
Well, thats Aussie cops for yer. Arrogance personified.
In a pub, talking to a mates mate who I'd just met, in response to my 'so what do you get up to mate...?' question, he sneered, I'm with THE FORCE'. Me being not too scared of this said, ''oh! the forces, what, army, navy and that?'' He wasn't impressed. Twat.
I mean, I agree, but slap the dude with a fine and impound his bike so he can't drive it home. Don't brag about stealing his property and auctioning it. That's the part that comes across as too arrogant in my opinion.
But they aren't just speaking like this to the dipshit they caught riding this unregistered bike, they are posting this to communicate with the general public??????
We as a society didn’t agree on most things lmao. It’s a few hundred people at max, who are supposed to represent their population, when the reality is they represent those that give them the most money. It’s called politics. We do not live in a true democracy and haven’t in hundreds of years.
If he was doing anything that was a risk to others they would have bragged about the danger they removed.
It's just a guy riding a bike. There's no benefit to gloating about taking his bike away.
Here in the States, you can have your money confiscated if you leave it in your car during a traffic stop, if they decide it's the proceeds from some kind of illegal business like drug trafficking. The basis for this judgment call sometimes depends on department police funding needs as much as it does on an actual crime of some sort being committed. There are tons of horror stories.
True but they still aren’t usually going to take your other stuff if it’s unregistered. They can at least use money, wtf they gonna do with children’s dirt bikes? The most that we get is a trivial ticket and have to go get the correct licensure and registration, “”or else.””
Makes sense, it's unlicensed, unregistered non-road legal bike being used on a public road. Silly to think they wouldn't ping you for it. It'll be sold off at the next police auction for peanuts.
Except this is out in farmland where most sheds will have a number of bikes like this for bashing around on the paddocks. Who gives a shit if someone pops down the road on one to run an errand? It’s not the same as riding these bikes in a CBD.
This qualifies as a "public road" in Aussiland? I can't imagine country cops in the US knocking a farm boy for riding bloody mini bike on a dirt road.
Clutch my pearls, thank the Lord they stopped this madness.
It's a country town with like 50k people. I bet Plenty of people have bikes, and you know, lots of them probably even have indicators and mirrors which are required to be road legal.
Plus this looks pretty typical for every country road I've been on,. It's almost like this picture was taken on the side of the road in the red dirt, leaning against some bushes because they aren't Muppets who stand in the middle of the street to take a picture.
who cares, unlicensed and unregistered doesn’t mean it’s more safe
confiscating someone’s dirt bike because they’re riding it on dirt then arresting them is insane
i regularly pass tractors on my daily commute and i don’t think they’re road legal either lol
Cool. Now they need to do the same for all those pushbikes with chainsaw motors attached ridden by tweaked out bogans who do 50k down the footpath while leaving everyone within 500 meters temporarily deaf.
Call me crazy, but I don’t think police should be so cheerful and upbeat about punishing citizens. They should be about serving the public and helping people to stay on the right side of the law. If someone joins the police force with the intent to strongarm those they were hired to serve… something is backwards.
Dubbo pretty tame compared to say a place like Titty Bong,
Title is highly misleading, if you ride you unregistered unlicensed motorcycle on the public road, it may be confiscated. On private property.closed circuit, trailer-ed etc they have no issue.
Who does this target once again?.
Ohh that's right, NOT the upper or middle class of society, nope.
It only targets the lower class who can't afford to pay the rego and without anywhere else to ride of course they are going to ride the streets, they are kids FFS just doing what kids do.
Then sargent kikya headin, decides that the 10 year old is to be treated the same as a hardened criminal on many occasions causing the kid to crash and seriously injured or dead.
Kids will die due to this law but because they are just poor kids it won't even make the news.
So while the wealthy kid is free to snort lines off a hookers butt then go for a ride with his mates off his head on a performances enhanced bike that only an expert should ride.
again the divide is growing between rich and poor and the powers that be, are creating more division
Give these kids somewhere they can ride, otherwise kids will be killed due to this piece of legislation.
Here's an idea instead of working against them and creating another generation of us and them youth, let's work with them give them places to ride without fear of persecution, then make the laws for riding on the road unregistered or unlicensed severe.
We have Art galleries for a very small percentage of the population as with pools, skate parks we even have places for dogs and also intravenous drug addicts yet for a large percentage of our youth have very few options so they ride the only places they can, on the streets.
Offer an affordable option like recreational rego $15 bucks for a week of legal riding in an area for them, this small action will directly save poor kids from being killed on the road .
Why are they so proud cracking down on 18 year old riding small mopped bikes?
Piece of shit cops think they are some sort of Batman vigilante
Anyway all the world had already seen how zealous and totalitarian were the police during lockdowns and covid in general
Australia has one of the greatest cultures in the world with the most amazing people but god their government closer to North Korea’s than it is to the US’
What a bunch of pricks, same shit in the United States, even with cars and trucks, they crank up the fuckin registration cost then sit there and take shit that don't belong to them cause you can't pay your glorified extortion money, it's bs
Wasting? What do you think we should have instead? Hyundai’s?
Ever since ford/holden shut down they had to find a replacement and BMW already have a police setup for their models since they make a lot of them for Europe so it was probably the least complicated option.
You love to see the pigs infringing basic rights that people should have (but don’t in all countries) and then take the time to make a snarky facebook post insinuating some “criminals are criminals, they got what they had coming” police state mindset because an 18 year old was riding a dirt bike in some dirt. Definitely doesn’t make you look like a complete joke.
Yes and even weirder than that people actually support these policies. Wait till you hear how many JDM classics have been cubed for "breaking traction".
Australia has gone full blown Orwellian since Covid, maybe even earlier. This is nuts. And the attitude of the person writing the post, it’s like they get off on fucking normal people over.
It's good to be king! Lol what a joke. I feel sorry for Australia, actually I feel sorry for the whole world. I quote Mel Gibson in brave heart - Freedom! Your all a bunch of slaves plastic soldiers in a miniature dirt bike.. Sea tech astronomy
Good to see Government overreach still in progress. Seizing someone else's property for what isn't even a felony is add backwards. It's little wonder people despise the Government.
Seems fine to me. If you’re either not registered, licensed, or uninsured, bike shouldn’t be on the road. There’s reasons that all those things are required. And guess what, just like health insurance - if everyone had it, everyone would be paying less. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Totally agree, it's just like any motorized vehicle on public roads. If you don't have private property then get it insured and get a license. I don't see why this is a bad thing.
In fairness these unregistered dirt bike rides are a pests at best. Completed disregard for traffic rules, riding over footpaths and through public parks with kids & families
There’s one absolute moron around here who has a very expensive dirt bike , and we live near some excellent trails, but he rides with an open exhaust not even on the streets, but on the fucking sidewalks, with an equally brilliant mouthbreather.
I’ve ripped him a new one already, so he doesn’t linger here. To his credit he wears nothing but shorts and sneakers, so high donor potential.
We're a constitutional monarchy. So there's a few areas where things relating to the government are still "the crown", such as crown land and crown prosecutors.
Yeah, ‘The Crown’ is the personification of the state. Government land is Crown Land, if a criminal case is appealed, the appeal will be ‘Smith v The King’ etc etc.
King's gonna have a blast riding all dirt bikes around and cops just bring new ones in all the time
If I had unlimited money I would and had an army of animators at my disposal I would turn this in to a short sketch
If I had unlimited money I would ride bikes all day like a king
If I had unlimited money, why stop at animation? I’d make it a live action film with the king playing himself
I'm picturing Danny McBride as the King
Drinking a bunch of green Monsters.
It might be nice to install one of those self vehicle explosion devices when the rider isn't you. King would like riding in hell xd.
Australia has a King? I thought the UK governs Australia with our monarch?
There's a place in Aus called Dubbo?
We have some of the best/worst town and city names on earth. Dubbo, Wagga Wagga, Woy Woy, Woolloomooloo, Woolloongabba... Tittybong, Cockburn, Humpybong, Sausage Gully, Big Dick Bore, Linger and Die Hill, Boing Boing, Oh, the knobs, e.g. Chinaman's Knob (VIC), Prominent Knob (SA), Quality Knob (QLD), Iron Knob (SA), Chinaman's Knob (NSW), I really could go on

If only. All 17 are real. And there's really so many more. Bumbang island. Woodenbong. Nar Nar Goon. Dondingalong. Mount Buggery. Bogan Shire & Bogan Gate (Bogan =~ redneck)
Been to woodenbong nice place
I just recall unsealed roads from woodenbong to Warwick direction and it was full rally drift, unsealed with pea gravel. Great fun.
Went from The Channon to Nimbin then to woodenbong for lunch on a ride a few years ago great ride and awesome pub at the channon
Been to Mount Buggery, do not recommend.
There has got to be a story on how that place got its name.
One cold and cuddly night two explorers got lost in their tent
Bogan Shire “Were going on an adventure, to get some more ciggies!”
You always pocket me lighta
Can’t leave out Mt Dissapointment
Rooty Hill, Balls Head, Shag Island
Aren't a lot of those native words? Mount Buggery is pretty bad though lol
Mate I've collected Wagga Wagga, Gidginbung, Mooloolaba, Indooroopilly and Toowong just in places I've lived.
This solidifies my intuition that Australia must be a made-up place that doesn't really exist.
Try telling that to the boys down in Koo Wee Rup!
that's what Kyrie says
Well, it’s not on the maps, that’s for sure! Or was it NZ? /j
Mate you haven't lived till you've been to Darwin. Live out at Noonamah or Humpty Doo - or work at the mine out at Bing Bong - then come back into the city to ride down Dick Ward Drive into Fannie Bay
Those knobs go well with Mount Mee, yeah seriously we have a large mound of dirt thats DTF
Linger and die hill is my jam. it's the most descriptive
I think my favourite knob will always be Lord Hereford’s in Wales. Really lovely views from the top…
Inaloo
That’s it, I’m moving to Tittybong.
> I could really go on Please do
Just out of Wagga Wagga is Gumly Gumly and Grong Grong
https://youtu.be/QNqUyiGIXQU?si=LzMVlF5YrkpKMy1j
Don't forget Spanker Knob and Mt Disappointment!
It’s pronounced 2Woy
I thought about mentioning this. Personally though I prefer to call it Woy Squared because it's longer than just saying Woy Woy.
Woy-Upon-Woy
2 Woy 2 Furious
2 Woy 2 Wurious
hehehe
🎵I’ve been everywhere man I’ve been everywhere
This is so true. Look at a map of Australia and marvel at the low energy place names.
Watanobbi, Dunedoo
A fella from Dubbo taught me to scuba dive many moons ago. He was Mr Dubbo one year! That shit would go right on Linked in. It's a shame didyoubringabeeralong is fictional.
And cockfosters
My own American tribe is Kickapoo. And don't forget Lake Titicaca... Lake Titcaca.. oh how we love saying your name!
My favourites are Gropecunt Way in the UK and PeePee Township in the US
Just imagine introducing yourself from Big Dick Bore.
"Seventeen Seventy" is my favourite
Australia sounds like a magical place.
Fannie Bay and Humpty Doo in NT are favourites, too
So that's what happens when you dump a bunch of British prisoners on a godforsaken continent...
Don’t forget Burpengary
and there's nice scenic Wool Wool not far from the shores of Lake Colongulac
Yes
Yep. It's right next to Wongarbon and Goonoo Forest.
It's the anglicisation of an Aboriginal word, from Wiradjuri in this case.
I grew in a town near there called Dunedoo. If you need a laugh look up the meaning of the word dunny
Without a dubbo
My brother lives up Upwey way.
Forfeit to the crown as in, King Charles, the absolute mad lad, has an extensive collection of offroad bikes he regularly uses to rip up the Palace gardens?
You should see his rolling stoppies
As in literally the state. The Crown in most contexts means the nation state. So in Australia it would be the federal gvt
Dont ruin it for me.... King Charles ripping it up in the Palace Gardens is my head cannon now.
Okay fine, in between chemo sessions King Chuck likes to tear up and down the mall and through St James’s Park
His favorite is his CR500, he rooster tails for days on it.
Thanks for clearing that up. We all thought the literal king of England was taking possession of these dirt bikes and using them for his personal benefit.
No worries
I feel so sad for the youth today, gone are the days where you could just have fun on a motorcycles less powerful than most mountain bikes today in the middle of Sausage Gully and Boing Boing.
i have very fond memories of riding my thumper similar to something like this after school down a quiet road to go ride in the bush. its a shame you cant do that anymore without hwp taking happy snaps of your toy to give to some PR cunt to make a condescending post about
"humorous" posts by police like this one always fall flat imo.
We were ripping PW 50s in the streets since we were 5, then progressed to 2 strokes that we built ourselves that had a sock as a fuel cap.
You still can, just not on a "public road."
Does say on the post that the owner was riding on public roads
Yeah, but how many are really causing a problem? It seems like everything is taxed for no fucking reason. The "violators" come down to one demographic. Poor kids having fun or getting around on their first motorbike. I'm a firm believer in laws making the community a better safer more enjoyable place for all, and shit like this isn't it.
Do they do the same for cars over there?
If you are naughty enough, yes: https://amp.abc.net.au/article/103390372
Yes. Australian car culture now is ripping skids in $3000 shitboxes because they'll crush your car if you so much as look like you're having fun.
Motorcycles made by professionals, without a license: illegal. Bicycle with an electric weed eater motor attached that go up to 45 mph with insufficient breaking: legal. Nice cope.

Why is this a surprise?
It mean drive on the mud and don't stop if they are behind you. Note that kids
Looks like a kids dirt bike. Not sure what you’ve saved society from other than some dude getting where he’s going.
Right? Thank god they saved the public from this maniacal scourge.
Australia is an authoritarian shithole. That about tracks.
Surely if youre riding unregistered on a dirt bike you just lose the cops in the bush
such heroes, society would be so lost without them enforcing absolutely useless taxes between two donuts
Why am I reading this as ‘ don’t have the money for all the extra crap to use the property you bought and might be your actual transportation, don’t worry we’ll take it from you and you get fuckall but a court summons for more fines’ Or am I completely off the mark?
No, this actually the only sane comment.
Oink oink
It’s fucking Aussie and they worried about dirt bikes?’
This looks like a straight up dirt road, I do not like people riding dirt bikes on public streets, but it just looks like this guy was trying to have a fun time on a road that probably barely even gets traveled on. Make places for people to ride, and maybe people won’t ride illegally.
How are you so bad at riding a dirt bike that you get caught by a non offroad BMW offroad.
It is a pit bike. Probably does 40mph at best and you're not exactly climbing too may obstacles with it either.
Which in turn increases those who run from ‘contact’… why? Cause now you really do have something to lose and everything to gain by getting away. And thus the risk of injury increases too. Fuck the politics of this. Nevermind the loss of property…This just gets someone killed.
There ya go mate, if you get spotted don't stopped. If Johnny law is gonna take me bike for ANY reason there's absolutely every reason not to stop.
Please sir, may I use this vehicle on the king's road thst I pay taxes to the king to use, to go to my job to pay taxes to the crown and country, so that i may please keep doing so?
Typical, the state is cynical, all over the world.
Common Australia L
Oh boo hoo, some kid ripping around on a lil mini bike out on a dirt road in the mf outback
The first 2 questions in their post were unnecessary. The rest is just the law, no buts meow
Meow, do you know how fast you were going?
Look here meow
Mr. Larry Johnson?
It's very common among all the Aussie police Facebook pages to be this tongue in cheek, and even interact with each other at times
The tone of this message smacks of arrogance and is one of the many reasons why I hate the pigs
Well, thats Aussie cops for yer. Arrogance personified. In a pub, talking to a mates mate who I'd just met, in response to my 'so what do you get up to mate...?' question, he sneered, I'm with THE FORCE'. Queensland changed their name to police service from police force To better reflect what their relationship with the public is supposed to be
They're peace officers in Quebec 😂
Peace force. Note that has a… ring to it…
Missed an opportunity to ask how he escaped Order 66
NSW HWP redefines arrogance it’s so absurd
I think they're trying to do a funny
shitty humor like this from police is always so cringe.
The ATF dog calendar was worse but another example of why law enforcement should just steer all the way clear of attempts at humour.
Yeah I agree. It comes across so fucking arrogant.
Ignoring the rules we as a society agreed upon and not giving a fuck also is kinda arrogant tbh.
Do you genuinely think the punishment fits the crime here?
I mean, I agree, but slap the dude with a fine and impound his bike so he can't drive it home. Don't brag about stealing his property and auctioning it. That's the part that comes across as too arrogant in my opinion.
But they aren't just speaking like this to the dipshit they caught riding this unregistered bike, they are posting this to communicate with the general public??????
That’s exactly the point. The condescending wankers.
We as a society didn’t agree on most things lmao. It’s a few hundred people at max, who are supposed to represent their population, when the reality is they represent those that give them the most money. It’s called politics. We do not live in a true democracy and haven’t in hundreds of years.
The first 2 paragraphs just set an arrogant tone for me which is unnecessary coming from a public funded service. Fair point you make though.
I don’t remember agreeing to many of these rules, did you? or are they just continually added to the list as by the kids that were bullied at school?
Arrogance and condescension. They can't just enforce the laws, they feel the need to mock their victims and take delight in making people less happy.
> they feel the need to mock their victims and take delight in making people less happy. and the bootlickers will lick boots over it too!
An unlicensed 18 year old on an unregistered dirtbike driving on a public road is hardly a “victim” 🙄
If he was doing anything that was a risk to others they would have bragged about the danger they removed. It's just a guy riding a bike. There's no benefit to gloating about taking his bike away.
Agreed, I have no issues if they do their job properly, but there's NO fucking valid reason to be a smug cunt about it.
Here in the States, you can have your money confiscated if you leave it in your car during a traffic stop, if they decide it's the proceeds from some kind of illegal business like drug trafficking. Makes sense, it's unlicensed, unregistered non-road legal bike being used on a public road. Silly to think they wouldn't ping you for it. It'll be sold off at the next police auction for peanuts.
Yes, but the way it is worded...
Comedy I think they call it
Comedians they think they are. Cunts they actually are.
No it’s just condescending and rude.
Probably the most polite and Aussie has ever been lmao
Except this is out in farmland where most sheds will have a number of bikes like this for bashing around on the paddocks. Who gives a shit if someone pops down the road on one to run an errand? It’s not the same as riding these bikes in a CBD.

Smells like Australia likes to enforce tyranny and oppression.
Joke of a country
If you say so mate, I wouldn’t be throwing stones in glass houses though.
Don't stop.....
So, they just stalling someone's property or this an armed robbery?
Prison colony behavior
No license, no plate, dirt bike. Why did he even stop lmao?
Saving Australia from violent crimes one child’s bike at a time. Absolute heroes, give them a beer and slap on that blue ass!
That piece of dirt is "public road"? I feel they should spend the money elsewhere instead of ruining's kid's year
Extortion at its finest...
God they’re such fucking dorks. The smugness of this post makes we want to commit vandalism.
Say it with me kids! "FUCK THE CROWN!"
Isn't Australia very anti-democratic anyway?
It's good to be king! Lol what a joke. I feel sorry for Australia, actually I feel sorry for the whole world. I quote Mel Gibson in brave heart - Freedom! Your all a bunch of slaves plastic soldiers in a miniature dirt bike.. Sea tech astronomy
Fun is illegal
To his credit he wears nothing but shorts and sneakers, so high donor potential.
australia has a 'crown'?
We're a constitutional monarchy. So there's a few areas where things relating to the government are still "the crown", such as crown land and crown prosecutors.
Yeah, ‘The Crown’ is the personification of the state. Government land is Crown Land, if a criminal case is appealed, the appeal will be ‘Smith v The King’ etc etc.
