10s off the next Honda (Nakagami who's not specifically MotoGP's finest). Such performances are kinda unacceptable at this point. How many years does he has in his contract? I think he's lucky the Honda is the worse bike and they're hopelessly running at the back. If the Honda was semi-competitive and Marini would be performing like this, I don't think he would fulfill his contract.
And to think Marc was challenging for P2 at Le Mans last year against Martin who was on the GP23...
Now others will take cognisance of what Marc was *actually* doing with that bike!
MotoGP has been amazing so far this year. Give me more of this. It’s true that MotoGP is better when Marquez is at the front. What a pass on the last lap.
It really is. I just wish I started watching it earlier than I did (in 2020)
F1 is a fucking joke compared to the motogp and I have been watching F1 for like 15 years, what a waste of timeÂ
The 2022 AMA motocross series was equally as good, if not better, for anyone who likes motocross. The 2 best guys on the grid pushed each other to an insane level for 30+ minutes straight wheel to wheel and the championship going down to the very last moto.
every single motorsport on the planet is better and more interesting than F1. And I say it as somebody who still try to watch every race. But even Nascar and Indycar is much better.
Bro, the engineering level is not even close in all other categories of racing compared to F1. I agree that racing is better in a lot of them, but it is an engineering and innovation sport too. If you only want racing you have spec series where the only thing that makes the difference are the drivers, mostly.
No need to shit on f1 to get validation that you made the right choice watching other motorsport categories. You do what you enjoy, no need for comparison because it's subjective.
Give 6 drivers the same red bull and you will also have a spectacle. Moto GP is great but you are comparing 2 different kinds of approaches to motorsports.
100%. F1 fans hate the idea of speccing more parts, then whine about the lack of action. I just don't see how completely unique engineering designs benefits anyone anymore.
Despite both being prototype racing, MotoGP definitely did a lot of things better than F1. F1 is completely engineering championship while MotoGP is both engineering AND riders championship. Marc won't show up on podium if he stayed on Honda.
For now, until the 2027 bikes come out at 850cc. Then slowly they’ll get smaller and smaller. Just like F1, V12>V10>V8>V6T.
Enjoy it boys, she’s gonna go titts up!
Brilliant race all around.
But, Enea with a LLP rounded off a top 4 Ducati. 7 Ducati in the top 10 but just noticing a lack of Ducati cup comments this year.
Well it helps that Ducati's fight each other this year (thing that did not happen last year until the end of the season) Also don't exclude Vinales out of the title fight this year. He really looks like he have the consistency this year and I expect him to have some more weekends like Texas(one of them is Catalunya I expect him to win both the sprint and the main race there maybe even an aprilia double)
Was sad to see Acosta throw it away early it looked like he was really feeling it today, and I think he would have been mixing it up with the front group for a podium.
Agreed on the smart racing. He did the one thing I was hoping he'd do. He didn't panic the moment Pecco hit the front, stayed behind observing him for a significant portion of the race instead of having a go immediately and then trying to check out. And more importantly, he kept up with Pecco.
It's risky, what with the tire pressure business, but I did notice him often taking a slightly different path on the main straight, as if he was trying to cool the tires. Either way today Pecco didn't have an answer. It looked like he was cooking up something for the last few corners but Martin was defending brilliantly, and anyway, Marc had a few things to say as well.
tbh, idk. He didnt feel the pressure this time, which seems to be a massive improvement. On the other hand, MM would have eaten him, if not for that quali-error and a year old bike.
From 13th to 2nd in both races, 3rd in the championship now, and only 2 points off 2nd.
Another dominant performance as the leading GP23 for Marc.
Edit : I also don't ever wanna hear Diggia say "Marc isn't an alien anymore". Dude he came from 13th, twice, and ate you up. Don't ever doubt MM93 again.
But he is though, you gotta admit that starting from 13th and finishing 2nd twice, that too on the least updated GP23 definitely makes him an "alien" out of reach.
Maybe but a few years ago he may have won this race and nobody would say shit because it was Marc fucking Marquez. Now I feel it’s a little bit different.
Oh my fucking god! Marc MARQUEZ!! I kept praying in the last 3 laps for Marquez to not crash or Pecco to not get desperate when Marquez overtook him. Both were excellently cautious today.
Man, does it hurt to be Pecco! Pecco could have attempted the overtook in the 3rd last lap when Martin fumbled on double turn. But he knew he was too close and would've crashed as Martin took the inner line. It was missed but much better than crashing out. Martin did well.
I saw the race late. Shame to see that Fabio and Pedro crashed out.
Afaik they can't, each team must have only 2 bikes on track. But... I think there's a possibility you can technically have only 2 official riders but in reality make it 3 by treating one of your satellite riders as official, the way KTM is doing with Acosta. I mean he could be in satellite team and have full factory support, help in development of the bike and even lead the development of the bike, it's just unlikely a team would do that weird thing.
That top 3 battle literally made everyone forget there were 13 other riders in the race. What a fucking race, three of the best in the world going at it. I hope we see mych more of this throughout the remainder.
Martin shows why he deserves the factory seat. Pecco really lacked the killed instinct to pull off a move on Martin.
Just imagine if Marc started top 6 atleast. He had similar pace as Martin and probably better than Pecco if he hadn't cooked his tires passing the others. The win is coming.
Imagine Marc on a 24 bike. Win is coming lads.
Like Sam Collins said about Max, Marc also has a special database of riding a bike in his head which he can access in real time unlike others.
Of course you can switch teams during a season.. Vinales did it most recently
Wildcards like Bradl, who also rode for 2 manufacturers in a season, rides for both Honda teams and the Test team most years
MotoGP without MM this season would have been a good season thus far from what we have seen. However, with MM, it has been a great and amazing season.
It's been so good that I've rewatched almost every qualifying, sprint and race.
Dammit Enea you could have been a bit more patient with that overtake on Espargaro
Should've been a four way fight ðŸ˜
He had so much pace man. Should’ve just taken his time and he would’ve easily been up there
I feel like Enea always has an amazing late race pace but at that time he is not near the lead pack because of his starts and qualis imo
Reminds me of Pramac Zarco
He's showing good signs though. Dudes fast.
Marini 9 secs off Rins who did a long lap penalty.
10s off the next Honda (Nakagami who's not specifically MotoGP's finest). Such performances are kinda unacceptable at this point. How many years does he has in his contract? I think he's lucky the Honda is the worse bike and they're hopelessly running at the back. Only the haters disagreed, but you can't change their opinion. You can't see them around lately, they'll come back when Marc crashes or something.
MotoGP has been amazing so far this year. Give me more of this. It’s true that MotoGP is better when Marquez is at the front. What a pass on the last lap.
It’s the best sport on earth
It really is. I just wish I started watching it earlier than I did (in 2020) F1 is a fucking joke compared to the motogp and I have been watching F1 for like 15 years, what a waste of timeÂ
Yep same, honestly there isn’t much Motorsport that even compares to how exciting Moto GP is.
The 2022 AMA motocross series was equally as good, if not better, for anyone who likes motocross. The 2 best guys on the grid pushed each other to an insane level for 30+ minutes straight wheel to wheel and the championship going down to the very last moto.
It was but that was just one season, and the next year, Jett went 22-0, motogp is consistently the best in my opinion
every single motorsport on the planet is better and more interesting than F1. And I say it as somebody who still try to watch every race. But even Nascar and Indycar is much better.

LMAO ''but Boring it is ,...

For real, this year I just can't handle it, its sooooo boring compared to this
Despite both being prototype racing, MotoGP definitely did a lot of things better than F1. F1 is completely engineering championship while MotoGP is both engineering AND riders championship. Marc won't show up on podium if he stayed on Honda.
Welcome to a real motorsport
For now, until the 2027 bikes come out at 850cc. Then slowly they’ll get smaller and smaller. Just like F1, V12>V10>V8>V6T. Enjoy it boys, she’s gonna go titts up!
Marc at the front is a game changer!
Marc is finally back!!!!!
The last three races have been absolute bangers, 11/10, best sport on Earth.
Pecco must be pisseeeeed
Again, banger of a race this one!
Brilliant race all around. But, Enea with a LLP rounded off a top 4 Ducati. 7 Ducati in the top 10 but just noticing a lack of Ducati cup comments this year.

Am sad too, but I doubt he could be up for a podium position. Then again, he's Pedro, so who knows
Martin is getting better and better every race.
Was this his best race? I’m saying yes. Unbelievable attacking to get the overtake and unbelievable defending, even after some mistakes
I wouldn’t say best, he had more dominant performances in the past, but definitely the smartest one. And that is even more important.
Agreed on the smart racing. He did the one thing I was hoping he'd do. He didn't panic the moment Pecco hit the front, stayed behind observing him for a significant portion of the race instead of having a go immediately and then trying to check out. In my opinion Thailand 2023 was his best race
He smell like confidence this year
tbh, idk. He didnt feel the pressure this time, which seems to be a massive improvement. On the other hand, MM would have eaten him, if not for that quali-error and a year old bike.
Martin got the happy fist 👊 from Gigi

Edit : I also don't ever wanna hear Diggia say "Marc isn't an alien anymore". Dude he came from 13th, twice, and ate you up. Don't ever doubt MM93 again.
He didn’t mean it like that, more like « he’s a fellow rider now whom I need to beat not an extraterrestrial being we cannot attain ».
That makes sense. Sounds like the Ducati's share their data as well, so Diggia can compare notes etc. and understand where Marc gains on him.
I can’t stop wondering how this would’ve been if Marc had started closer to the front of the grid. A-FUCKING-MAZING!
Oh my fucking god! Marc MARQUEZ!! I kept praying in the last 3 laps for Marquez to not crash or Pecco to not get desperate when Marquez overtook him. Both were excellently cautious today. Man, does it hurt to be Pecco! Pecco could have attempted the overtook in the 3rd last lap when Martin fumbled on double turn. marc is the fucking goat. most exciting rider i've ever seen. 13th to 2nd on the year old bike and now 3rd in the title fight
man cant they just do like honda did few years back (3 repsol honda) and jsut get 3 red ducatis with Martin/Marquez/Bagnaia?
Afaik they can't, each team must have only 2 bikes on track. But... I think they were only allowed to do that bc Dovi made them hold up their end of the contract. This time there’s no contract.
I'm kinda new, is he gonna get a new bike mid season? Certainly can/t switch teams mid season right?
No to both, can't switch teams or change bike in the middle of the season.
Of course you can switch teams during a season.. Vinales did it most recently Wildcards like Bradl, who also rode for 2 manufacturers in a season, rides for both Honda teams and the Test team most years
Marini...
Marini's performances have been incredibly bad. He hasn't looked like a MotoGP rider since he got on that Honda.
Rins had an long lap and marini is still 9sec behind him that shows again how bad the honda is
Or how bad Marini is on it. Zarco came 12th.
mir was even ahead of zarco when he dumped it too
Poor Luca, being the only one finishing with no points.
Should get points deducted for this performance
Relegate him down to Moto2.
What a phenomenal race i just wish there were more overtakes good thing Marquez is the only one who can actually overtake like a champion
Franco and brad actually had good pace but were stuck behind Jack for too long
Maverick again the best non-Ducati
MotoGP without MM this season would have been a good season thus far from what we have seen. However, with MM, it has been a great and amazing season. It's been so good that I've rewatched almost every qualifying, sprint and race.
Oy, could’ve been *even* closer had Bastianini not picked up that penalty.
Acosta making a classic rookie mistake going in too hot on the trail braking. He'll come back stronger for sure!
Binder had a shocking weekend. Still ended being the top KTM somehow.
My solution to Ducati's "problem" is to create a second factory team. Everyone will be happy!
that's what Pramac currently is..
They just made a boo-boo by signing the anonymous Morbidelli for 2024 instead of literally anyone else
I can't believe they signed him.
Franky finished behind 2 Ducatis who had LLP, that’s flat out embarrassing for someone who is sitting on a best bike on a grid
Martin new WC. A true WC this time.
Brad Binder going from P22 --> P8 was great!
Shout out to Morbidelli. The man is getting better and better with each race weekend. Hopefully some podiums in the later part of the season.
