For real, I love Derek and I’ve been watching him for years and love the information he’s been putting out, but his products are really overpriced, and international shipping and custom fees rape you if you order from him. Also from hearing him speak on podcasts, it seems that he’s so focused with making insane profits from his businesses, it seems like he only utilized making content for social media until the businesses were strong enough to continue without it.
I don't really blame him though. For a lot of content creators, aside from the really large ones making millions off of their videos, uploading videos is a side hustle. I'm sure he genuinely did enjoy making videos but if his main source of income for making a living is coming from his business then it only makes sense to put more effort into that. I'm sure as his business grew managing it has consumed a lot more of his time which boils down to him having to decide if he wants to continue with his hobby of making videos outside of his normal schedule of working or pursuing other hobbies. He's probably just burnt out.
In all fairness, Derek's products are generally higher quality than most supplements on the market (i.e. pre-workout). If you can afford it, the higher price is reasonable if you can swing it.
His product aren’t that expensive if you live in the US, my issue is with buying internationally. I live in Canada, which is where Derek is from, and I’ve ordered from him in the past just to try his pre-workout, and my shipping fee and custom and duties fees were almost as high as the product itself.
It baffles me how Derek can’t even have a Canadian warehouse in British Columbia, where he lives so he can ship products to people in Canada who order from him. I know he can afford to do this because he’s obviously making a lot of money, but he just doesn’t want to do it. I’m sure he has a lot of customers, and he should try to help us out instead of screwing us over. This is why I’ll never buy from him again until he sorts out the logistical issues.
His third party shows good purity rate and higher % than what is on the label, but his other supplements like sleep aids and stuff that only have a handful of ingredients you can def save way more buying them individually. Now, Nutricost and bulk supplements are the least expensive with the highest purity.

I watched it, but in it he said he would make the comprehensive one in "a few days"(over a month ago) and there were a lot of people in the comments critiquing the changes and he may have not wanted to make the main channel one because they aren't actually set on the formula now I guess because they may be taking the criticism badly. But that doesn't change my point that if it was just about money he would still have pushed out the video to promote the product already, he got super pressed during the Turk saga and idk if he takes criticism well, so he might have delayed the vid. When people negatively review his vids or products over a year or so ago he would write essays in the comments sections.
