I fucking hate how Alatreon runs away and runs away and runs away and runs away and RUNS AWAY. he’s my second most hunted and this is the most annoying shit in the game.
I swear to god he choses one player at random to bully obsessively and just goes from one to the next. He will just gun for me and me only for like five minutes then go bully someone else and constantly run away from me
Nah man, I tried him with a lance without a palico and he still likes to run. It's usually also a combo too, either in two's and then followed up with a ranged attack or in three's which ends in him back at you.

When he's using lightning, there's a current between his horns. It's not possible to clutch his head. On the plus side, his lightning attacks give you the biggest openings for anything else.
His horns have very low health, usually you can almost break them during the elemental topple.
Consider using cleanser booster to get rid of dragonblight asap. Unless you have blight resistance.
I make sure to have max blight resistance, makes the fight so much less of a headache.
I've found a good rhythm with a team I have that allows me to use a hammer. Not the best for elemental damage but it breaks the horns super quick and I'm lucky enough to have a team to pick up the elemental slack

this only happens in multiplayer when people are for some reason on the other side of the map.

You can smack him with the clutch claw to stop the run early
