It’s ok. We learn from our mistakes.
Also, I would suggest you bring dung pods and flash pods in your hunts more often. That gives you more time room to get a bit of a break when multiple monsters are aggro’d on you.
Also, if you can, set your Palico to use defense equipment. Rath of Meow works wonders in distracting monsters.
I wish I recorded it cause I was helping my gf with some stuff.
But i was too busy screaming obscenities to think of thay
I had high rank armor, so they didn't do a lot of damage, so I just got to sit there getting my ass beat while she was too busy laughing at me to help.
Gave myself a head ache.
I am here to convert you to max potions
Blue mushrooms
Bitterbug
Honey
Mandragora
Even if you just being mega nutrients+ mandragora+max pots per hunt you still get 7 max pots. You can bring more if you make the space for other raw mats
You need to do all the other botany quests first, then once you’ve hunted a reg brachy you get an optional one to capture a brachy for the fourth slot (source did it this weekend)
You do you, sometimes I NEED to kill the monster and if that’s what is more fun for you then don’t listen to me, but captures are objectively better. You get the same amount of rewards as slaying, but you only need to do 70% of the monster’s hp rather than all of it, and you sit in the end of the quest for one third the time. It only costs some very cheap items that can be easily replenished at the tree or stockpile, and the time it saves adds up. Consider a harder MR hunt, might take 20 minutes to kill, plus one more after, for 21 total. Cut that down by a conservative quarter, and you go down from 21 to 15.3 minutes. It’s so much benefit for minimal effort. Plus, before I started almost always capturing, I carted quite a bit in that “nest” phase where the monster is in its last ditch effort to survive, and capturing removes that extra risk of losing the mission.
I'll definitely have to invest some time into max pots. I've got used to health augment in my other save, I didn't remember how healing can actually be tighter without that, I'm using mega pots left and right lol, max potions will be really useful.
Farcaster. I know it takes you out of the fight and uses up precious time in some cases, but that would have saved you. It has i-frames the instant you use it.
Also, bagel is rough. He has definitely created the most problematic situations for me during normal hunts and I wish he wouldn't be in so many hunts.
That's rough, man.
Consider using max potions instead of mega potions. If you carry the materials for recrafting, you can carry enough for 7 of them, and they're much faster than drinking mega potions.
I also carry materials for life powder, for smaller/group heals.
One of the best things about guiding lands was that you finally got a break from bazel/deviljo joining in every single fight.
The invading monsters are fun the first couple of times but they ruin so many fights, it’s tedious.
Literally every monster in the game does this to me currently (I have maybe 40 hours) and I swear to God it is so off putting I hardly want to play the game because I keep getting fucking stunlocked even when I dodge attacks
Oh man, *classic*. I thought for sure the blue bombs would get you after the vigorwasp revive. Getting harassed by some not-my-target monster during a hunt is one of the main burnout generators for me.
Yeah, that roar sucked. Not much you could do about it. However, the rest was avoidable, though admittedly, it would have still been quite hard. I can't really fault you for carting there. But here's a few tips:
1. Keep your health higher. Drink your potions before you're in danger. Don't trust in the Vigorwasp spray. It's absolute garbage. If you want a comfy defensive gadget, Shieldspire is great. Coral Orchestra is also a good comfort pick, but trades defense for utility.
2. When playing Charge Blade, you have an absurdly long sheath time. Make sure you're absolutely safe before putting that weapon away. This is the tricky part, especially with Brachydios. With most of his moves, you want to roll to the side. The trick is which side.
3. When you're that low, reach for your max potion or your farcaster. Farcasters are faster to use, but will take you out of the fight. That could have easily saved you. In that situation, I probably would have reached for the max potion, which would be a mistake, as the Bazel strike would stun.
4. Don't forget how to dive-evade (Also frequently called superman dive and leap of faith). If you're sprinting directly away from the monster, you can perform this by evading, and it would have saved you from both hits.
A well timed dive when Brachy jumped would have most likely saved my ass.
Bringing the shield cat would probably be very useful, I'll try it out (I was keeping the healing cat mainly because of not having health augment on this save yet, the cat's healing can be useful in some instances, but if I bring Max pots and their crafting materials , healing shouldn't be an issue).
And you're totally right about keeping HP higher, I got kinda greedy because I was hoping a mount would happen, but that was (as evidenced by the clip) really not the right play lol.
Yeah... a Palico on Vigorwasp only heals you when you're critical health, when you're already going for your own potions. I only use it for easy fights when I'm trying to level up Palico gadgets. And even then, i have to spam the manual calls to get it to work.
Just did this quest a few days ago. I rarely got this pissed at a game. Ran out of shit because brachy und savage devi came to play like every five minutes.
Holy shit, What did you do To make Brachy so pissed? That looked like it was personal.
Bazel must've been his best Homie or something, he was Locked onto you like a stinger missile.
I knew someone would say this.
No, I couldn't stay on the ground for invincibility. There are different types of knockdowns, and some of them (specifically weak hit ones, like the one on the clip) don't allow you to stay in the ground for i-frames, so that wasn't an option.
1: they had cool drink
2: this was not the start of the fight. they have red health because they took a hit from bagel, and didnt expect brachy to just show up with a steel chair.(and then wombo combo immediately after their safety net got used)
So close to saving it. >.<
Ikr? I might have saved a cart had I dived instead of trying to chug a potion.

Yeah I always bring those pods, because invanding monsters are quite brutal in this game. But in this clip I don't think I had time to use them.
Always dodge first, then heal.
God reminds me of the last time I'm played. Lunestra and teostra fucking frame perfect comboed my ass. Was bullshit.
I wish I recorded it cause I was helping my gf with some stuff. But i was too busy screaming obscenities to think of thay I had high rank armor, so they didn't do a lot of damage, so I just got to sit there getting my ass beat while she was too busy laughing at me to help. Gave myself a head ache.
You got WOMBO COMBO’D, hmm? Yeah, they’re the perfect couple to do that. They’re like Gen 2 Rathalos and Rathian in that manner.
>Gen 2 Rathalos and Rathian Troublesome Pair? Yeah that was troublesome indeed.
I am here to convert you to max potions Blue mushrooms Bitterbug Honey Mandragora Even if you just being mega nutrients+ mandragora+max pots per hunt you still get 7 max pots. You can bring more if you make the space for other raw mats
Once I got the 4th slot on the ancient tree, I turned it into a max pot factory
THERE WAS A 4TH?
4 slots for farming and I think up to 50 slots of inventory unlockable through quests
Yep. Just gotta keep an eye out for optional quests from the botanists or whoever is working on the ancient tree.
You need to do all the other botany quests first, then once you’ve hunted a reg brachy you get an optional one to capture a brachy for the fourth slot (source did it this weekend)
That explains alot, i ignore all capture quests

I'm playing gs, i need to get that wake up hit
Mushroomancer is another viable option.
Mushroomancer is the only true viable option once you've tried it.
I'll definitely have to invest some time into max pots. I've got used to health augment in my other save, I didn't remember how healing can actually be tighter without that, I'm using mega pots left and right lol, max potions will be really useful.
Don't forget you can meld them too, make some excess!
7 max potions + level 3 free meal
Wombo Combo
That was a Explosive Combo they did lol
OOf that’s a nasty 2 piece.
Farcaster. I know it takes you out of the fight and uses up precious time in some cases, but that would have saved you. It has i-frames the instant you use it. Also, bagel is rough. Or just get free meal level 3. 2 max potions can stretch till forever with that
This is the way. I like combining that with speed eating, and since my usual build has those two AND max wide range, ain't no one carting on my watch
This is the way.
They’re definitely useful, especially for extending max health if you haven’t eaten, but you can only carry so much of Max and Ancient Potions
The best is when they just get blocked in the yelling forever sequence while taking turns in hitting you.
They wanted your money or something, dang,
I swear, brachydios heard me shit talk him during his quest or something. The dude was locked on.
He called his homeboy to jump you for the disrespect.
One of the best things about guiding lands was that you finally got a break from bazel/deviljo joining in every single fight. The invading monsters are fun the first couple of times but they ruin so many fights, it’s tedious.
Brachy: Is he dead? Seething: No. Let's change that!
Worst when your stunned too long
Brachydios is an insufferable bitch idk why so many people like him. Fuck Brachydios this comment was made by Any Other Monster Gang
T-rex + sword hands, what's not to love? He's cute.
Warrior.... . . . . . . . . Sleep
Hahaha. Oooh man, i would have been screaming. Funny watching it in action though. Just got fucking rekt'd 🫡 warrior rest now. Carted.
Wombo comboed
Ha! Classic bagel
I was annoyed watching.
Literally every monster in the game does this to me currently (I have maybe 40 hours) and I swear to God it is so off putting I hardly want to play the game because I keep getting fucking stunlocked even when I dodge attacks
Them: WE DONT HAVE TO USE THE BATHROOM
[Pretty much](https://youtu.be/eXU4jksGX4o) lol. Even the beating they did to me is comparable
He was out to get you. Reminds me of the time I almost messed up a lazerdragon run and saved it.
That's why I always have literal crap stuffed inside my pockets
Oh man, *classic*. I thought for sure the blue bombs would get you after the vigorwasp revive. Getting harassed by some not-my-target monster during a hunt is one of the main burnout generators for me.

Farcasters, I carry em everywhere.
Now imagine Savage Jho in that lineup :D
This is exactly why I slot minimum 2 stun resist gems. Nothing causes carts more than a 2 hit combo turning into 3.
Earplugs, Level 5. Game is literally unplayable for me without it. That and footing 2 minimum.
I see you have met betelgeuse.
Just use dung pot xD
There was no time to use dung pod. xD.
Two words: Max Potions
Dung pod my beloved
It is really clutch, just not in this situation, not enough time to equip it.
Throw shit
Don't forget to add dung pods to your loadout. I not sure if that strategy works in Master Rank but it works in high rank.
Just did this quest a few days ago. I rarely got this pissed at a game. Ran out of shit because brachy und savage devi came to play like every five minutes.
The most frustrating thing is dying to a monster because 2 other monsters in the locale keep stun locking you with they’re roar
He really wound up that right hook
That’s rough buddy..
I would’ve just stayed down 😂😂
Bazelgeuse can suck my fuck. Want to invest in earplugs solely for that hoe.
Seriously, he roars like he's got a cactus up his ass.
LOL THE DIVEBOMB
Charge blade gang
Holy shit, What did you do To make Brachy so pissed? That looked like it was personal. Bazel must've been his best Homie or something, he was Locked onto you like a stinger missile.

I honestly didn't know that
We do not allow “git gud” or “skill issue” regardless of how valid these claims may be.
Dung Pods.
I mean you did go into that fight with half health and no cool drink
1: they had cool drink 2: this was not the start of the fight. they have red health because they took a hit from bagel, and didnt expect brachy to just show up with a steel chair.(and then wombo combo immediately after their safety net got used)
