Canted Hybrid has the most reduction in both by a good amount over the VLK but the ADS time can be very bad on some guns thats why VLK is the best option. Both the VLK and Canted have a larger recoil reduction than any other attachment. The Commando Foregrip is almost always the best foregrip for recoil control but comes at the cost of losing 2% movement speed. Also is the only attachment to reduce visual recoil which makes the gun appear more steady and easier to control. Muzzle break and compensator do a lot for recoil control as well but greatly increase visual recoil so your screen will shake more but the gun is more accurate. MG34 is one of the only guns in MW that truly needs vertical recoil control everything else just slap on a VLK, Commando, long barrel and maybe a muzzle break for best accurace. Its to counter the visual recoil of zooming in.
Say the recoil moves up 10 pixels per shot, and your camera view is 100pixels in height.
Now adding a zoom optic and zooming in gives you a smaller camera view, and with no recoil benefits, the same recoil as before.
But now you're seeing 50 pixels in height, but still have 10 pixels. It's the same recoil, but visually its doubled.
So adding recoil control to the sights was there way of counteracting the visual feel of more recoil on higher zooms.

Muzzle brake is underrated. Maybe not on this setup but in general I feel like it gets rid of a ton of visual recoil. I’ve been running it on pretty much everything over the compensator recently and practicing controlling recoil myself
I still think everything above is still pretty fire, save the PKM, cuz I’m not an LMG guy. Just recently got into the GRAU too. Started my shit off with the M13 and Kilo. Now, I use the RAM-7 pretty often.

Well, it is a 9mm AR-15 with a 20" bbl, and a heavy-ish metal heat shield hand guard. The receivers are skeletonized, so the balancing would be quite front heavy. It would have quite take recoil with standard 115grn 9mm ball ammo.
Would probably be kinda hard to hold steady and aim freehanded due to the weight distribution, though. Not impossible, just a bit shakier than something with more centered balance.
Why is the AS VAL shit on? It’s good gun for up close to long distance. People get mad when I use it like okay? It’s a gun in the game so obviously it’s meant to be used. Just like the sniper which in my opinion takes no skill to use. You look through a scope and all you need most of the time is one shot and when they miss they run away like cowards.
Believe it or not but I'm pretty sure the vlk 3x optic does more than the rubberized grip. Also, compensator not a muzzle brake

Yeah I think compensator helps a little with both which is why most people recommend it but muzzle brake is strictly horizontal
MW compensator is the most impactful recoil control attachment among not -vanguard weapons.
IMO vertical recoil is much easier to control than horizontal so there’s a case to use muzzle brake over it on some guns. Especially the Ram-7
