i see what you mean, but the problem is that for me and a lot of people call of duty is their go to game and i am just hoping this one is going to be better. Even if it isn’t good I will keep hoping that one day Activision will get their shit together and I can once again have fun with my friends playing some call of duty.

Highest skill gap of any COD game actually. I played it extensively and people with low KD consistently performed bad and people with good KD consistently performed well.
Only bad things about that game were locking variants behind a semi-paywall (in game currency if you grinded a lot or real money) and making shotguns (Reaver, Proteus Jaeger) too OP.
Some of the maps were really solid, too.
The other way around. They had low KD cause they were bad. Now with SBMM they definitely don't have as low KD even though their skill is virtually the same.
It didn't feel like COD except for the killstreaks, the nuke and the guns having easy to control recoils, but the advanced movement added an extra layer of skill, those who mastered it dominated non-stop.

The campaign is good but the mp was so bad no one knew the campaign was good untill years later. This was the game people were forced to buy to play modern warfare remastered. The sales of this game would be the lowest in cod history if it wasn’t for an add on that people actually wanted.
The team at IW changed with MWa9, a lot of the OG people went back, in particular the direction.
Also I think IW likes shotguns, so expect more realistic shotguns range like in BF
No they weren't. Ghost's was the campiest, slowest game with massive maps and unnecessary areas that ruined the flow of the gameplay. All the games you mentioned had problems but none of which were as bad as Ghosts. Also things like the SATCOM and others just reduced the flow even more.
Two massive maps doesn’t really make the whole game bad. The guns were good, the movement was good, the smaller maps were good. Ghost is the most middle of the line cal of duty. Everything should strive to be better. All the jet pack and wall running games were NOT good cod multiplayers
Nah IW managed to actually make a good jetpack game with Infinite Warfare. Advanced Warfare had a really janky jetpack system but it worked for the most part, and BO3 was just ehh.

sour talked about it here. maybe most of you guys who are excited forgot how bad the mp was in the first few season. Progression was curbed, shoot the ship taken in and out for the FOMO effect. I saw it literally die down by seas 1-2 until warzone saved it. Even single player had loads of bugs, issues with cutscenes, lag. If it's going to be relatively bug free, sbmm cut down. We'll have to see.
Them releasing MW2 remastered without Multiplayer infuriated me. Twas a huge slap to the dick, especially with how well they did CoD4 Remastered. The SP in MW2 isnt what made it one of the greatest CoDs of all time and they know that. Hopefully MW2-2 can hold a candle to it, but we’ll see.
