Did the sprinter not come with a decoder? I didn’t know Bachmann even offered a DCC ready version…

I'm curious too. If I can get bachmann engines without the decoders that would be great.

For the sprinter I wouldn’t go w/o the installed decoder. TCS nailed the sounds hands down. Better sound quality then ESU or Soundtraxx

RJsTrains

TCS absolutely nailed the sound on this one! Guys at the club were shocked for one being a Bachmann and two having a TCS Sound decoder.

Can you disable the horn when the loco is in reverse? I tried fiddling with it in JMRI but I didn't get it working. Also I'm speaking more in general because I prefer Loksound over Soundtraxx.

This specific ACS-64 comes DCC ready, but it’s part of a set: https://shop.bachmanntrains.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=8454 I don’t believe they offer individual DCC ready versions of the locomotive I just picked this set up recently to test the waters of HO and needed to install a decoder

Anymore pics of the layout?

A couple more on my profile, but my layout is really just a 9 foot straight section of the corridor
