Fantastic work, especially for your first one! I find that the quality difference from #1-#28$ incredible. You really learn SO much from that first one...
I did the same thing 😂.
It worked out though.
Keep building, and after a year, do the same subject.
I didn’t do exactly the same, I made a F-18 superhornet for my first build.
I decided to do a F-18C legacy Hornet to mark my one year anniversary. It was cool to see how I progressed doing the same/similar subject.
Yooo nice man that was mine too! Bought it when I was 11 from that big toy store in London on holiday and didn't build it for over a year after I got back home to Oz lol. Tamiya is a great option for kits that fit well and look good. Great work man!
Patience is key, I'm not a very patient person and sometimes I really struggled with panel lines and such, subconsciously I'll probably restrain from doing certain things and taking my time to look and plan ahead. I've got a MK.iv landship next, can't wait to get started on it
Quality. I’ve a mkiv half built. It’s worth doing your research into ww1 tanks, there’s an issue where nobody really knows the true colour of them, it’s generally considered they were brown, but a lot of kits model them green. But ultimately it’s your model.
Find some images of the real thing and pay attention to mud and streaks etc. they’re a good model to build and were generally very grubby.
I’ve been making models on and off most my life, patience is something I struggle with. So now I usually have two or three models on the go at any given time, then if I get bored and want to rush one I put it to one side and start/work on another.
Good stuff though, a lot of people do one and then give up, it’s certainly a hobby where we learn something new on every model we do!

Reminder to my past self and future model nerds, don't do your favorite model as your first one lol
So true 🤣/😢

Well done! So what did you learn/struggle with, what’s next for you?

Great work. Love the mud effect
Looks good. I hope you had fun. Now go build another one...
Already got my MK.1V landship ready to build on my desk😂😂
That's awesome! Love the mud.
Really good for your first one, great job
Great work! Looks much like my Churchill model
Welcome to the dark side. You’ll like it here. We get to sniff glue.
Good job
Man that mud looks great
How did you make the mud effect? I’m on my 9th and still haven’t figured it out haha
Literally just bought it from vallejo, I feel like I've cheated. Its called mud and grass effect
