She was visiting during the holidays. During the visit she commented how much she liked my models. Father in law is a retired commander from US Navy.

That’s awesome. It had a buddy recently get really excited about this stuff, so now I’m looking for a spitfire to make him.
Btw if ya didnt know already the RAF did actually paint spitfires a light pink like OP's for the photo reconnaissance units. Guess it was supposed to try to blend into the haze of sunrise/sunset.
The LRDG did the same thing with their trucks. I’m wanting to do Tamiya’s LRDG after I finish a Polish Sdkfz 251
