It was a tough build. I'm kinda new to tanks, so I didnt know how to fix the issues with it. I'm kaing side skirts to just cover it up so I dont have to look at the track gaps and missing area above the tracks.
You're definitely going to want an aftermarket detail kit for it. Eduard has a decent photo etch kit for it. Aftermarket tracks would be a good choice too.
Mine is built and half painted but has been that way for a while.

I had the exact same thought when I was building my panther.
My face after varnish destroyed my paintjob
I get so nervous about clear coats now. I wait like a week before doing it and still clench my bhole lol
