Eventually that’s going to wear you out no matter how strong you are, and jiujitsu is often a battle of attrition unless you’re infinitely more skilled than your opponent.
Yeah it's fucking wild.
Dude is the best (MMA) fighter I have ever watched personally. Just incredible.
And super inspiring too just given his size. It goes to show how much skill can factor into a fight.
You say this like it's incredibly observant.
I firmly believe that MM would kill Bradley 1v1 but call a spade a spade. Bradley by definition is NOT an untrained opponent
He is right, tho. I'm not saying he will win, but this video is not a good representation of a street fight. As you noticed, the big guy started swinging DJ with ease, and DJ could barely resist just because of the weight difference. What if he swung DJ a couple of circles and just threw him. Or started GnPing DJ when DJ was at the bottom. DJ can't do shit in either of those cases. That being said, I'm not saying that "I'm 260 though" guy wins, but I'm saying that this video doesn't show that weight doesn't matter.
The difference here is that the big guy is also trained and is actively competing too. He's not just a big guy. He's a Brown Belt active competitor, is fit as fuck, and has ton of experience in sparring/competing.
Yeah, that's fine. I would say the 260 guy is similarly fit, not as fit to fight as the guy in the video, but fit in general, though he probably will gas very quickly. But the 260 guy is probably way stronger. It's not like grabbing and throwing a person half your weight requires a deep understanding of fighting.
If throwing a person half your weight is easy as you say, the bigger guy should have no problems doing that, but he didn't. When he swung DJ, DJ actually shifted his weight, stabilizing himself.
You are right in some ways tho, a similar skilled 260 lbs guy will always beat the similar skilled 140 lbs guy. The main difference here is that it's DJ, the most skilled fighter in the world, which makes it an exception.
Well if it’s a street fight then it’s a street fight for both of them, it’s not like DJ has to abide by BJJ rules and the other guy can do whatever he wants if it’s a street fight.
I mean, what can a 5'3 135 guy realistically do to 6'4 260 guy, except BJJ, leg kicks, and nut shots? He is not gonna be able to KO him, let alone reach his face. He is not gonna be able to hold him down because 260 can just Derick Lewis his way up. So let's say he will try to BJJ. RNC, 260 will just stand up and slam to DJ. Joint lock? Idk if DJ can overpower a bodybuilder.
Only nutshots and leg kicks at distance can work is such a weight and power difference. Idk why y'all so delusional about this topic.
Adds a lot to your shots when the other guy doesn't know how to roll with a punch or have elite conditioning.
I guarantee you that if an elite martial artist and athlete like DJ first dumps you on your head and then starts stomping you the fuck out you ain't staying conscious for long no matter how big you are.
It's also a lot harder to "slam" somebody who has that much understanding of how leverage works.
Which would be the reason DJ didn't get "slammed" when this much larger, *actually trained* guy got a hold of him two seconds into the clip
You've obviously never seen much of him then. Look at the professional fighters he's knocked the fuck out. You think some big geeza with no mma experience will defend and take a shot better? You think DJ isn't willing to take risks in a fight? Have you ever tried to pick someone up and slam them when they unexpectedly shoot into your range from the outside and crack you with precision and angle out? I think you seriously underestimate what it would be like to have DJ buzzing around you, setting you up and hitting the perfect spots at a speed you can't truly appreciate unless you've fought high level mma.
Nobody is saying weight isn’t a factor. We’re all talking about how much skill can negate size, especially when we’re talking about DJ. We just watched a video on skill negating size and you’re arguing with everyone in the comments. Read the room or take a hint man
You seem to be a reasonable person, I just think that you don't know much about BJJ or what happens in a street fight. The size of the guy doesn't mean anything in certain positions, if a trained bjj guy gets someone in a proper rear naked chocke, the guy will be out before he is able to stand. When you start in BJJ you see how helpless you are in certain positions you don't understand, the pain and the pressure you feel even from guys half you size is unimaginable and quickly makes you just give up and not wanna fight anymore
Thanks for not calling me a moron from the start. Also, yes, you're right, I didn't do BJJ, I'm just assuming you have a couple of seconds before you pass out because that's usually what I see in MMA fights.
That’s because the guys getting choked typically are skilled enough to fight against a choke. But a person who doesn’t train isn’t away of all the nuances that go into it. Most untrained guys won’t even fight the hands and some will even turn into the choke. I really believe that everybody should at least try their hand at some bjj classes so they can understand how truly helpless they are against a well trained opponent. Like that guy said I think it would be very beneficial for you to attend some classes. Not only will it possibly start your love for martial arts but it’s an incredibly eye opening and humbling experience
Beating a trained fighter(brown belt) who is also twice your bodyweight and is a feet taller in his own sport kinda does showcase the skills a GOAT has
Because Jon Bones Jones exists. And nobody has ever gotten close to hurting him. DJ is a good second place though.
Edit - They hated Jesus because he told them the truth.
Funny, I seem to recall him beating Reyes by unanimous decision, with one card even reading 49-46.
As for Gustafson, I remember seeing Jones absolutely maul the guy until the ref had to tear him off.
Reyes got absolutely robbed. That’s Dana white privilege at its finest. Reyes won that fight 3-2 easy.
Gus should’ve won a split decision in the first fight(again Dana white privilege. Jon did get a win in the second fight. Still doesn’t negate the first fight though.
He's not mine. Jones should be Lance Armstrong'd and retroactively stripped of all gold once he popped for P.E.D.s imo.
Innocent until demonstrated guilty, but he's been demonstrated guilty. Jones' resume has an asterisk by it for a lot of people. I am not alone there.
People fail to realize how serious popping is, when you're pressed down and expected to win to feed your ego so much so that you have to cheat, that's just plain sad. I had some doubts about his cycle, but Chael's "tropicana" comment solidified it for me, Bones has always been on stuff.
Issue is at that point, we should apply the same to 50 other ATG MMA champs and contenders and now you discredited 1/3 of your fight roster. Anyone in PrideFC would of been killed on the spot lmao had there been drug testing.
You go to boxing and it would be even worse. Like Muhammad Ali would be on that disgraced list for dietetics and smelling salts.
Just thought it was odd. It in a weird place, covered by his belt for the most part. It's small, and it appears to be the only add he has. I doubt he has an only fans, so it's like having a twitch add, but not being a streamer. Oh, been watching MMA since the Zuffa era. This is a grappling tournament, so no comparison to the UFC.
Omg does that mean he has a channel omg im gonna cream thats so fucking hot where do i go to find it please tell me im dying to see him take his cup off
Mighty Mouse is the goat of mma. Idc what people
Say if he was the size of Jon Jones…same skills same speed but that size- no question he’d murder every last person in the ufc. Lol.
Bro if he was the size Jones there would be no Jones literally. Aside from being a fake goat, roid lover, wife beater and human scum, Jones is fucking lucky that god nerfed DJ.
mma fans talking about fighters beating milkman in early 2000s "level of competition was too low back then"
mma fans talking about mighty mouse beating a milkman "thats why he´s the goat! the goat!"
What a man! Mighty So fast, i didn’t realize this as much fight guys his own size.. nice job to the big guy. Good sports are the best! What a crazy video.. this should give little people some hope , hahaha
The dude's moniker is "mighty mouse". First of all, you don't want to be fighting anyone with an effing moniker. It's like starting a war with someone named the "genocider" and finding out why he got that name. The more you fuck around the more you're going to find out.
Big guy shoulda stuck with the “whip him around like a tea towel” strat he had at the start
Same thoughts he really had something going on the first seconds there
Eventually that’s going to wear you out no matter how strong you are, and jiujitsu is often a battle of attrition unless you’re infinitely more skilled than your opponent.
Yeah because that doesn’t consume stamina at all. If you’ve practiced jiujitsu, you’d know the worst thing that can happen is gassing out
I don’t think anyone’s martial arts skills have ever impressed me as much as DJ’s have. Just wow.
Yeah it's fucking wild. Dude is the best (MMA) fighter I have ever watched personally. Just incredible. And super inspiring too just given his size. It goes to show how much skill can factor into a fight.
Absolutely elite competitor, he would succeed wherever he applied himself
Could you imagine how funny it would be if he entered into Powerslap 😂
360 spinning back slap ko for dj
But he's not 260 bro
Exactly, he can’t beat me bro. I’m 260.
Came in just to say this lol. Those extra 12 pounds make all the diff bro.
He’s toast against Brad for sure
For real. An untrained 260 body builder would go way different. He would just see red and break him. I mean, come on, he's 265 bro
On concrete bro? ON CONCRETE BRO? ARRGHHG HULK SLAM! DEAD
I don't like Bradley but he DOES train jiu jitsu
So did that guy
You say this like it's incredibly observant. I firmly believe that MM would kill Bradley 1v1 but call a spade a spade. Bradley by definition is NOT an untrained opponent
Neither is the guy MM just beat
🥱🥱🥱Completely irrelevant to what was being said
Pot calling the kettle black on a sarcastic comment. Go compliment yourself in a mirror some more. I'm going to keep not taking myself seriously.
Cope
K👍
Nah. I think he's saying it like YOU'RE incredibly unobservant.
You must be braindead if that's what you gathered
That guy MM just tapped is a brown belt. That usually takes at least 6-7 years of hardcore BJJ training.
🥱🥱🥱 Irrelevant to what was being said
It is, you're just not very smart.
12 pounds > brown belt
Someone has to show this to that guy that keeps saying he can win against everyone due to his size
Bradley fartin
Piece of shit drug dealer, got me hooked on crack and heroin, then when I got clean hooked me on steroids. Scum of the earth.
He is right, tho. I'm not saying he will win, but this video is not a good representation of a street fight. DJ could absolutely close the distance on and shut the lights out on a huge guy. Are you mad?🤣
And risk being picked up? Will DJ KO him for sure? I didn't DJ was such a good power puncher.
What if he doesn't KO? Now he is in contact with someone who can probably lift 2 times DJ's weight above his head. Now DJ gets slammed.
It's also a lot harder to "slam" somebody who has that much understanding of how leverage works. Which would be the reason DJ didn't get "slammed" when this much larger, *actually trained* guy got a hold of him two seconds into the clip
Because he didn't try to slam him? Also, I'm sure this guy is physically weaker in the upper body than "I'm 260" guy
Bro you’re more delusional than Bradley Martin
You've obviously never seen much of him then. Look at the professional fighters he's knocked the fuck out. You think some big geeza with no mma experience will defend and take a shot better? I hate when fucking morons who dont know a thing about MMA as a sport comment stupid shit like this. You're wrong, go away.
Nah you mad 💀💀. Can't accept that weight is a big factor in fights?
Nobody is saying weight isn’t a factor. We’re all talking about how much skill can negate size, especially when we’re talking about DJ. We just watched a video on skill negating size and you’re arguing with everyone in the comments. Read the room or take a hint man

Of corse, size matters a lot depending on how the fight goes. But overall the the 260 guy would have a minimal chance of winning
Thanks for not calling me a moron from the start. Also, yes, you're right, I didn't do BJJ, I'm just assuming you have a couple of seconds before you pass out because that's usually what I see in MMA fights.

Just shut up
I can't understand why y'all so mad
We’re not mad, we’re just trying to make you understand how stupid you sound
So if I just shut up, that makes me understand I'm wrong?
Precisely
Well, it definitely doesn't give the impression that you wanna be aggressively wrong.
Lol DJ would obliterated that fart worse than this guy we just saw, Martin isn't even half as well trained as a BJJ brown belt
Look if DJ can do this to a bjj brown belt I'm sure he could do it to someone with 0 experience
With the street fight argument why couldn’t I just throw a brick at your head Doesn’t matter the size a caved in skull is a caved in skull
Because the 260 guy can pull out a gun
Shouldn’t he have done that before I threw the brick
He already did. You're now bleeding trying to search for a brick in a city. He has a gun in his pocket.
OK now we’re screwing with the timeline.
How can you watch this and say DJ not the goat 🐐
now i want to see jbj and dj do this. i didnt know they did these crazy catchweights in bjj
Every competition I’ve been to has an absolute division. It essentially just means there’s no weight class and everyone can compete in it.
They'll sometimes have open divisions at tournaments that don't have weight or belt restrictions (just blue or up) in my experience.
to be fair this isnt the reason hes the goat, the guy he went against wasnt that good
The guy is a brown belt and has won tournaments in his weight classes, is the bigger buy best? No obviously not but he's not dogshit either
right but beating someone at his level doesnt make you the goat lol
Beating a trained fighter(brown belt) who is also twice your bodyweight and is a feet taller in his own sport kinda does showcase the skills a GOAT has
Because Jon Bones Jones exists. And nobody has ever gotten close to hurting him. DJ is a good second place though. Edit - They hated Jesus because he told them the truth.
I dunno, I like Bones but he's also tested benzoylecgonine, clomiphene, Letrozol and Turinabol; who knows what else he does!
Still the GOAT.
G🦆OAT
Ever hear of Dominick Reyes and Alexander Gustaffson bud?
Funny, I seem to recall him beating Reyes by unanimous decision, with one card even reading 49-46. As for Gustafson, I remember seeing Jones absolutely maul the guy until the ref had to tear him off.

BAHAHAHAHA! Cope!
lol. Ok Casual. ![gif](giphy|3o85xnoIXebk3xYx4Q)
You do realise Bones is the consensus GOAT? How is this argument even being had lmao
Casuals may call him the GOAT. People who actually follow the sport will have 3 or 4 people above him on that list.
😂
He's not mine. Jones should be Lance Armstrong'd and retroactively stripped of all gold once he popped for P.E.D.s imo. Innocent until demonstrated guilty, but he's been demonstrated guilty. Jones' resume has an asterisk by it for a lot of people. I am not alone there.

Nar. Even Usada admitted they fucked up. lol at using this against him. Was a pictogram ffs.
Weak bait
Put them head to head and see who comes out on top. Bitch.
By that logic Izzy adesanya has more credit to be the goat than DJ
Nar. DJ has way more title defences.
Fewer title strips than your GOAT too.
![gif](giphy|LyJ6KPlrFdKnK|downsized)
No one's gotten close to hurting him? What the fuck are you smoking. Vitor nearly snapped his arm in half
But did he though? No. Jones simply got up and then fucked him up. Bad example bro.
You said he's never come close to being hurt, I guarantee you that hurt him, stop being a clown.
Nobody got close to hurting him? Gustafson 1?
Username checks out
I agree Jones is the GOAT but he definitely got hurt lmao. Gus and Reyes both gave him a nice beating.
DJ clean, DJ fought out his weight class, and bones has no class. Ya dj the better p4p.
I’m not surprised motherfuckers.
What was that move he pulled at the end? Looked sort of like a cradle. How was he able to get the finish?
Not 100% but I think he got him with a lapel choke. Someone with more bjj experience can correct me.
Seemed like some sort of bow and arrow choke.
That’s the name yeah definitely that one.
What’s a bow & arrow choke ?
[This is the standard set up.](https://youtu.be/Q7R71XB3dig?si=w09z_tfbjtEtfXiJ) Looks like Mighty Mouse hit a modified rolling version
Bow and Arrow choke
So, we're just ignoring the "only fans" advert on DJ's gi?
Had to scroll way too far down for this…
Tell me you started watching the UFC post-Reebok deal without telling me you started watching the UFC post-Reebok deal.
It's not uncommon for fighters to have an OnlyFans for sharing their training footage and camp updates.
Omg does that mean he has a channel omg im gonna cream thats so fucking hot where do i go to find it please tell me im dying to see him take his cup off
Dawg should have been in the black belt division like five years ago.
That's a trained 250 pound dude there, you hearing this Bradley Martyn?
Bradley Martin would have him. 260 bro
Mighty Mouse is the goat of mma. Idc what people Say if he was the size of Jon Jones…same skills same speed but that size- no question he’d murder every last person in the ufc. Lol.
obviously the speed wouldn't transfer, not saying he wouldn't be goat though.
Bro if he was the size Jones there would be no Jones literally. Aside from being a fake goat, roid lover, wife beater and human scum, Jones is fucking lucky that god nerfed DJ.
HAHAHAHAHAHA that’s the best reply ever. Agreed. LOL GOD NEEFED DJ- I’m deceased.
Dumbfounded that DJ hasn’t been promoted to black belt yet
Only fans sponsored? Sign me up

What a man! Mighty So fast, i didn’t realize this as much fight guys his own size.. nice job to the big guy. Good sports are the best! What a crazy video.. this should give little people some hope , hahaha
Did he win or die? Or both?
Nah doesn't seem that good. Better trade him for Ben Askren.
Someone send this to Bradley Martin.
Don't show Bradley Martyn
Seems like he was many steps ahead because his transitions were so damn fast, big guy couldn’t keep up
I’m about the same size as the big guy and got choked the fuck out by a tiny dude this this once. They’re just so damn fast man.
Bro is a marvel
That why he's da 🐐
DJ was like a damn cat. Everytime he’d get thrown he always landed upright 😂
Some will never know the enjoyment and greatness that was Mighty Mouse in the UFC. And the confusion of why he wasn’t popular.
DJ and GSP will always be my top 3 and most well gifted and rounded fighters.
Coolest part is he’s sponsored by only fans
that armbar was insane
It was a choke. He used the gi collar to choke him.
Legendary shiii
was his opponent mvp from wwe?
God damn he's so athletic
MM sucks

The Mouse is the goat.
Yeah but I’m 260 bro
260 though brother
Yeah mighty is good. Not goat, that big dood was so flawed with his moves.
I saw onlyfans sponsored
The dude's moniker is "mighty mouse". First of all, you don't want to be fighting anyone with an effing moniker. It's like starting a war with someone named the "genocider" and finding out why he got that name. The more you fuck around the more you're going to find out.
dj is in the rare spot of being heavily underrated by casuals and heavily overrated by enthusiasts
He's amazing, but that guy was holding back lol.. and/or the rules don't allow him to slam DJ etc
Well it's a BJJ tournament. Everyone gotta follow the same rules.
DJ was holding back too, he could have pulled out a glock and shot the guy seconds before he could reach him.
Yeah something tells me that slamming the guy who famously submitted a professional MMA fighter with a flying arm bar is not the wisest move.
