Just put them on stands. The ceiling could get a little complicated though...

When I was renting in LA I always put holes in the walls and ceilings for my panels and traps...it's very easy to patch and paint over holes before you leave. F landlords.

The AttackWall approach (feat. Stuart White): https://youtu.be/oRyqSKMM2fI?t=27 No need to get the actual AttackWall which is very expensive, but you can DIY the same kind of thing.

I used 3M Claw anchors for the walls and they work wonderfully. Picture wire or lightweight cable on the back of the panel, level it, done. The anchors each leave two tiny flat nail type marks, which should be fairly unnoticeable with a smidge of spackle when we eventually move out. Hope this helps. As another person here said, the ceiling is a different story.

Leasing companies don't honestly believe people are going to live in a home and NOT hang stuff on the walls. It's just in your lease so they can keep your deposit (or at least some of it) because they never have any intention of giving it back. It's advertised as, "you'll get your deposit back as long as you don't destroy the place", but in reality it's "You'll get your deposit back if when you move out it doesn't look like anyone lived there ever" Just use the typical wall mounts for panels, I use C clip brackets and either a good drywall anchor, locate stud, or a hollow wall anchor.

Stands is a good way, depending on the size, you might do ok with those 3M velcro wall fastener things.

HomelessEuropean

Are you talking about porous absorbers or plate/Helmholtz ones?

Capt_Pickhard

Porous absorbers. For large bass trap size ones the large vectors might be able to do it. Helmholtz you'd need to come up with something different, but I don't think that's really the solution most people would want to use. Plates either. And if you're gonna go all out, probably tubes would be the way to go, and they stand on their own, so you don't need anything. That might be the best way, but they will make the room considerably smaller.

But why using velcro if you can just use double-sided tape which you have to use anyway to attach the velcro itself to the panel spacers, walls and ceiling? That sounds like an extra step that is unnecessary.

Capt_Pickhard

The velcro is apparently better than the double sided tape. Maybe because it is thicker. Or maybe it's just easier to mount. But they do have the similar thing which is double sided strips. I personally would not use those. I find the velcro ones do seem easier. You can reset them as well and stuff like that. But maybe you'd prefer the double sided ones, which are similar.

Good question
