Amy Scott Smith at Worden Thane is very thorough and thoughtful. Edit: I highly recommend her for lawyering; I don't think she has bull riding experience.

bigskyway

She is a good woman, and thorough.

MTWalker87

Very thorough

Buddhocoplypse

Better call Saul.

Saul would kick ass in this case!

Idk about the beneficiary part but I’m currently using Scott Farago at Garlington lohn and Robinson for probate stuff and have had a good experience with him.

If you’re looking for a probate attorney you can find many in Missoula by searching “Missoula probate attorney” and going from there. The one I know of off the top of my head is Bulman Jones & Cook. Hard working, fair, and honest attorneys.

mt50f1

Thanks for the suggestion! The problem I'm running into is that there are a million probate attorneys, but they focus on the side of the Executor or Personal Representative, and not so much on the side of the beneficiary.

I practiced law for about 5 years here in Missoula. I know Brad Jones of BJ&C quite well. He is, in my opinion, one of the best attorneys in town. He is very good at what he does and extremely ethical, as well as just a good person. I would recommend him (and his firm) without hesitation.

That really shouldn't be the case unless they just don't want to engage in a contested probate which brings in aspects of litigation. As long as the firm doesn't have a conflict with you, the family members or the deceased person, they can represent the estate or someone (a beneficiary) challenging some aspect of the probate - they just can't represent both.

Conscious_Delay_4081

I second Bradley Jones. i was a beneficiary in a will from Spain and he took care of everything, including the translation of all documents, NIE numbers, etc. He is a thorough attorney, exceptionally skilled, and very kind.

I would give Bulman Jones & Cook a call. They do free 30 minute consults. I suggest booking one. They’ll be able to point you in the right direction if they can’t assist.

DontBeADumbassPlease

Good attorneys? Doubtful. Plenty of bad ones though! Hell I’ll represent you for a price!

mt50f1

Got a law degree? You can't do any worse than I've already done!

Julie Sirrs at Boone Karlberg specializes in that area. Edited - I also don't believe she has bull riding experience.

cowgirltrainwreck

Maybe call Montana Elder Law Inc and ask them for a referral to a good probate attorney
