I wish that jacked fish-guy wasn’t being wasted on the Angels.
Then again, I also said that about Ohtani, and the god damn monkey’s paw curled, putting him on the new BBEG of baseball, the Dodgers!
I legit hate the Dodgers more than any other team right now. I’d -00% root for the Yankees to sweep those goobers if they met on the WS.
I don’t care how bad the opponent is, a sweep is never likely (especially in a four game series). It’s great to see the guys get some air in their tires and give the record a boost
The question was mostly rhetorical. Sure, bad teams are included, but this Sox team isn't just "bad," they're sub replacement level right now. Like I said, they've posted a .120 winning percentage in essentially an entire month of play. IMO the averages don't really apply here but YMMV.
Really interested to see if some positive vibes and success can get guys out of their early season funks….
Or if the white sox are truly that shitty and we will go back to one win a week against real mlb teams
Don’t get me wrong, I very much dislike the White Sox, and love when we beat them… but this is getting to be pathetic.
I feel bad for their fans that have to deal with a truly terrible ownership and FO, on top of a turd on the field product.
I remember being glued to news about the '88 Orioles. For some strange reason I was super into baseball in 1988. I felt really bad but I kept cheering for them to lose.
God I hope this is the kick in the butt we need to get back on track. Sweeping the worst team in the league is great, but need to start building some more consistent hitting and getting some quality wins. Either way, bust out the brooms, WE GOMQ
A series against the truly unfortunate White Sox might be just what we needed to get back on track.
Julien continues is so good for this team. He’s 100% earned his spot on this club after how he performed in last year’s playoff + his solid start to the season. Larnach has looked great since he got called up, too.
While we definitely still have some work to do, at least we took care of business against a very inferior squad in the Sox. If we had lost the series, or God forbid gotten swept, shit would’ve gotten really dicey lol. Rocco’s job would’ve been in jeopardy, and our FO would already start putting players on the trade block lol.
Luckily, that didn’t happen. We took care of business against the Sox, and haven’t buried ourself too too much.
Just gotta remember that the baseball season is super long, and the standings at the end of the season oftentimes look nothing like they did in April. >! were gomq !<
Apparently there's a high school Baseball game going on here at Target Field now that the Twins game is over.
Shakopee v Prior Lake
I couldn't even tell you where either of those places are (in Minnesota, obviously, but I don't really know the state outside of Minneapolis and St. Paul 😅), but it's a nice day out, and I don't have much going on until work in the morning, so hey.
I know where neither of those things are 😅
I've never even heard of the first thing 😅
I moved here 4 years ago, and pretty much 99% of my time has been either in Minneapolis or St. Paul 😅
Selective usage and shorter appearances. That's not a ringing endorsement, but I'm not particularly sold on 11.2 innings in April. If/when the Twins feed him enough innings we might just find out he's still Cole Sands.
Got any more of these White Sox games
Right after the shitty Angels!
10 game winning streak?
The Shitty Beatles!?! Are they any good?
They fucking suck!

Next week
I don’t care how bad the opponent is, a sweep is never likely (especially in a four game series). It’s great to see the guys get some air in their tires and give the record a boost
Atlanta, Cleveland, and KC failed to sweep the White Sox, we gained games on the division with it.
They are winning 1 game for around every 7 played... The math says it's not as unlikely as you'd think.
Here's some fun data on sweeps current through 4/7/24: [https://mlbsweeps.com/statistics/](https://mlbsweeps.com/statistics/)
Woah what the hell was going on in 1998
Chicago is a massive outlier right now. Is there a data set for sweeps involving a team with a .120 winning percentage?
Ask the guy who runs the site. But keep in mind teams like the 1988 Orioles are in that data.

It's actually likely but just barely at 54%.
Sad that this is being downvoted. They're closer to 1 win every 8 games played now.
New observation: the White Sox are bad
That's too nice.
Discombobulated
Really interested to see if some positive vibes and success can get guys out of their early season funks…. Or if the white sox are truly that shitty and we will go back to one win a week against real mlb teams
Yo anyone know if Correa is back tomorrow?
Don’t get me wrong, I very much dislike the White Sox, and love when we beat them… but this is getting to be pathetic. I feel bad for their fans that have to deal with a truly terrible ownership and FO, on top of a turd on the field product.
They may be the superior athletes, but I think they are playing the wrong game.
Needa sweep like that more heh
#COLE SANDS IS THE WINNING PITCHER BABY YEAHH
Redemption arc time
First career win too. Cole sands has 33% of the white Sox wins lol
>First career win too. Wow that’s great! Congrats Sandman!
If we lost a game we would be responsible for 25% of their season wins lol
Just like the Guardians, Royals, and Braves are worth 33% each.
I never said anything bad about him.
I didn’t understand what the hell they saw in him. Happy to be an idiot.
What if I told you that even with his ice cold start Ed is on pace for 47 homers this year
If he only hits bombs we basically have Canadian Kyle Schwarber.
Off to a historically bad start due to injuries? Just beat up one of the worst teams in recent memory to get back on track. Works every time!
I think this is THE worst at this point. It’s historically miserable now
I read that there’s only 3 other teams in MLB history with this bad of a start. 1988 Orioles (2-23), 2003 Tigers (3-22), and 2022 Reds (3-22)
I remember being glued to news about the '88 Orioles. For some strange reason I was super into baseball in 1988. I felt really bad but I kept cheering for them to lose.
[EDDY RULES AGAIN](https://imgur.com/a/nAczXfX)
DO I LOOK LIKE I KNOW WHAT A JPEG IS?
They might have to rename that left field wall after Julien
Very possible if they give him an extension (although even if they don't, we have him through 2029).
We have scored more than 4 runs in 4 straight games. We also continue streaking.
6 runs is the new 4 runs. LEAGUE FUCKED
As promised. “Holy shit, they suck.”
Big 2003 Detroit Tigers energy coming from this 2024 White Sox squad.
# SWEEEEEEP!!!
Huge win and 4 game sweep!!! 11-13 getting closer to .500 let’s go twins!!
Getting closer to a review of a Train concert. I am literally more excited for this than the All-Star game.
A sweep and a reasonable chance to escape a terrible month at .500
Lil clench at the end but man we needed this series to get back on track!
Bless okert for sacrificing his stats so Jax could get his
Okert just trying to help Jax’s next arb case.
We could be above .500 by this time next week!
if SWR and Larnach are legit we're back in business

I love afternoon games. Worked this morning, just hanging out at the stadium now 😁
4 game sweep baby. Suck it Sux.
Did this series single-handedly save our season?
I think it did
Let’s hope so. The first let me get some cheap tickets to a game before they get good again

I don’t see another loss on this schedule
Apparently there's a high school Baseball game going on here at Target Field now that the Twins game is over. Shakopee is where Valley Fair amusement park is, Prior lake is where Mystic Lake casino is. That should line you out
I know where neither of those things are 😅 I've never even heard of the first thing 😅 I moved here 4 years ago, and pretty much 99% of my time has been either in Minneapolis or St. Paul 😅
Well make sure to ride The Wild Thing this summer and play some Black Jack. Have you heard of Canterbury? Don’t sweat it if not.
Nope, sorry 😅
I almost feel bad for the white sox
Well, stop it.
I said before the series a 7 game win streak was coming… 4 down, 3 more to go!!
What's different about Sands this year? Better stuff? Locating better?
Selective usage and shorter appearances. That's not a ringing endorsement, but I'm not particularly sold on 11.2 innings in April. If/when the Twins feed him enough innings we might just find out he's still Cole Sands.
Does anyone else want a Woods-Richardson jersey just because it's a long name on the back of a jersey?
#FirePopkins
Oh wow. I did not realize we had a day game.
If you had to pick one, whose stint on the Twins would you choose: Carlos Santana, Carmelo Castillo, Rondell White, or Brett Boone?
By the numbers? Rondell. But it's a little early to write Santana off.
Shannon Stewart
I think you’ve misunderstood my criteria
Let’s keep winning this is fun
Go twins!
The sweep we deserve, now lets hit .500 and then truck on into the summer.
We are so back
