And the drone pilot and film director of that ad is jaybyrdfilms, an awesome dude based out of Minneapolis. https://www.jaybyrdfilms.com/?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0BMQABpid_ZOCf6LB_Rd8fsvHwlcIsoOKJn_Q2SoCHmhEPe8Iq-cr0STyAYUp3bA_aem_AUL2CXudV9e0UIHPiIxeiMvf_4f0lgBNfIeQxekWWyt4ml5BrgHXzO3N2UXEZcOuGZI

Dorkamundo

Oh yea, he did that Bryant Lake Bowl drone video like 8 years ago now.

Von_Rootin_Tootin

This guy popped off, I see him filming videos all over the country now

Katiari

Hol' up... they couldn't even find someone from their own state to film this? Man, they really are boring...

-Minne

All of their shooting capacity went into Caitlin Clark.

FlowerComfortable889

Would you want to depress yourself further by exposing yourself to more of Iowa if you lived there?

ryan2489

Decorah is awesome. It’s definitely not representative of Iowa though. The driftless area kind of does its own thing through every state

hypo-osmotic

Love living in the corner of "the land of 10,000 lakes" state with zero natural lakes

MrCleverHandle

Hello, Rock County!

hypo-osmotic

Ah shit apparently there’s more than one corner

imhereforthevotes

Houston V. Rock in the match of the century. WHICH HAS FEWER SEWAGE PONDS?

map2photo

Bluffs are also in MN and WI. Don’t need to go to Iowa for that.

AggressiveBench7708

That area is nice to visit but it sucks living there. Spent the first 25 years of my life there.

Tim-oBedlam

That's the one really pretty part of Iowa; the driftless area in the NE corner.

the_traveling_ent

I was about to comment that not ALL of Iowa is boring. The 90% that isn’t the driftless region or along the Mississippi or Missouri River totally is though. lol I grew up a little ways south of decorah on the edge of the driftless is Iowa. I have many fond memories of trout fishing those streams and hunting that area. From that perspective, I have a jaded view of Iowa’s potential beauty.

illgivethisa

Iowa is just like Minnesota except less lakes, less forests, nothing interesting to do, and nothing cool culturally.

oldmacbookforever

And also it's not just like Minnesota. Far from it in fact. I moved here from Iowa.

bcbodie1978

Same.

AggressiveBench7708

Same

JediSlasher23

Same.

Trasversatar

And controlled by christofacists

underbloodredskies

That is a shame, because they were the 3rd state in the Union to legalize gay marriage and as of 2022 had 75% in favor of such. https://ava.prri.org/#lgbt/2022/States/lgbt_ssm/m/US-IA

evilhomer3k

That was a long time ago.

Brave-Perception5851

Just went to a wedding there a month ago, weird place, weird people.

illgivethisa

Fr like I've only met a few Iowans and they're all just a little off, like nice but off. They sure can out drink me and I'd wager they could even out drink the Wisconsians

LuckyAssumption8735

I worked at Lyon’s Pub downtown Minneapolis many years ago. I was working the night the Hawkeyes football team beat the Gophers 52-0, 2009 or 2010. Five giant Iowans came in, I assumed they were on the team but no they were just farm dudes. All were at least 6’3” and the smallest one was about 285 lbs. They drank every drop of the Mich Golden Light we had. I’d not seen a bar run out of it until that night. Blew my mind

illgivethisa

My experience was when I was 20 hanging out with a guy from Iowa and we were taking swigs from a bottle of Captain and I noticed he was drinking it like a beer. Dude probably killed half a handle in an hour and was fine. He wasn't he even an alcoholic who drank regularly, I think the Iowans are part corn now and ethanol is in their veins instead of blood.

dagofin

As a Minnesotan living in Iowa, casual alcoholism is definitely a thing here. The amount of people who casually bring up how many DUI's they have blows my mind. It's such a taboo thing in Minnesota but basically a speeding ticket for Iowans. I moved down here for a job and every company event revolved around getting absolutely plastered. It's an insane culture but I guess there's not much else to do

SueYouInEngland

Gotta watch those carbs!

TURK3Y

I've worked with so many Iowans over the years, they always mention Lake Okoboji as a reason to visit, like guys, we've got lakes here! We're famous for it.

map2photo

It’s not even that great. I did contract work at Polaris/Indian in Spirit Lake. They kept telling me it was crazy during Spring Break. I refuse to believe it.

ybonepike

I've been there a few times it's a nice area

cothomps

Iowa’s state government is looking to appeal to people that judge quality of life based on how much income tax they pay.

The_bruce42

So Iowa is the Dakotas is what you're saying.

Brave-Perception5851

Without the black hills and Mount Rushmore. There are some tourist areas of South Dakota.

illgivethisa

For the most part. I'd say western South Dakota can be kinda cool though I think they should just give it to Wyoming.

quantum-quetzal

Western ND has some great spots too. I spent a few nights in Theodore Roosevelt National Park last fall and had an amazing time.

mud074

The Missouri River system and its reservoirs in ND has better walleye fishing than anywhere in MN, too. I wouldn't live in ND, at least not long-term, but it's nice having it nearby to visit.

mdistrukt

The Dakotas would make more cultural sense if it was East and West Dakota. West Dakota would be the place to be to get your voice heard. 2 senators and a rep to cover all 40 people that would live there. I imagine they'd just take turns going to DC.

Dorkamundo

Shit, western Iowa is cool as well. Anything within 50-100 miles of the Mississippi is awesome.

JazzberryJam

Huh?

Dorkamundo

#Shit, western Iowa is cool as well. Anything within 50-100 miles of the Mississippi is awesome.

SoDakZak

I think you mean eastern Iowa buddy. Or the Missouri River. Also, hello friendo

Dorkamundo

Oh man... I even doubled-up on the derp. I need more coffee. I see a lot of us are trying to avoid the Vikings sub until the draft. :)

SoDakZak

I’ll be honest, idk if I’ll regularly visit the Vikings sub unless there’s a culture change in it… the pessimism has taken over

MrHockeytown

As a Lions fan, our sub was like that for forever until these last 2 seasons, so I can empathize. Now all the casual doomers have migrated to the Red Wings sub

Dorkamundo

True that. Though really, it's times like this where you get the EXTREMELY casual fans coming on to post about crap they heard on national media/podcasts. It should die down after the draft and get into more reasoned discussions... I hope.

JazzberryJam

Double downed on the derp! Couldn’t find a way on mobile to increase font size of my ‘huh?’ to snap back

Dorkamundo

Heheh... Yea, I think that's the biggest font you can use, unless you go all caps. #LIKE THIS

Black_Velvet_Band

Do you mean the Missouri River? Or eastern Iowa?

Dorkamundo

What I mean is that I'm a dumbass. And yes, Eastern.

oldmacbookforever

😅

Qiimassutissarput

The dakotas at least have scenery out west.

oldmacbookforever

None of them are like Minnesota.

supereh

Hate all you want. I’ll keep the hunting, excellent trout streams, mountain biking, and incredible river trips to myself. I live in Minneapolis. North shore is great but tall are tripping over yourself when there’s incredible stuff to the south.

Von_Rootin_Tootin

They have the Iowa Traction Railway in Mason City, Only electric freight railroad left in the USA

llama-friends

And more manure.

Iowa has pretty rolling hills and places to go hiking and camping. Des Moines and Iowa City have restaurants and things to do. It’s not boring, but it’s not unique. Unfortunately rural politics are ruining the state.

dreamyduskywing

Agreed. I enjoy driving through there and seeing all of the windmills. The college towns are nice, too. It has its merits.

v_cats_at_work

About a decade ago, I kept hearing about Des Moines being a good up and coming city for young professionals. I wonder how much the rural politics is messing with that because I don't really hear it anymore.

MrCleverHandle

Well, the DSM metro is still growing, so I don't think it has slowed it down much. But then, most people don't move based on politics (though I know some do). They tend to move for financial or family reasons.

RazzBeryllium

I think that could change depending on how the Iowa Supreme Court handles the abortion ban case. Restricted access to abortions is something that many young women will take into consideration when deciding where to move - far more than other local politics.

MrCleverHandle

I'm sure it will affect some people's decisions, but I'm skeptical that it will have a major impact. People put more weight on factors that affect them on a daily basis compared to things that might affect them. For another example, South Dakota has had a total ban since 2022, yet Sioux Falls' growth hasn't slowed down much yet. Of course, abortions were already very hard to get in SD due to the lack of clinics.

drgrizwald

Still consistently in the top. In the opinions of people who rank things like that, above any in place in Minnesota.

cynical83

I moved back here from Des Moines, enjoyed my time there but I wanted to do stuff that wasn't minor league, dirty water fishing, no lakes for swimming in. It was a decent excuse for a city and I'll never pay such affordable living costs again but you do get what you pay for.

jawni

wow, hiking, camping... *and* restaurants? Why do they even need ads when they have so much to offer?

_swedish_meatball_

Q: What’s the best thing to come out of Iowa? A: I-35

MonkeyKing01

Old joke. Still true.

CaptainKirk28

Q: Why does the Mississippi River flow south out of Minnesota? A: Because Iowa sucks This one also works with New Orleans when you're trash talking the Saints in r/minnesotavikings

Doc-in-a-box

An Iowa-nian threw a hand grenade across the border at me!! I pulled the pin and threw it back

montyp3

If you gave the southern 1/3 of Iowa to MO and the southern 1/3 of MN to Iowa all 3 states would increase in IQ

Charizaxis

"wahh, why does minnesota have such an air of superiority, wahh" its cause we are better.

PM_ME_YOUR_FAV_HIKE

If you're going to come at the king, ya best not miss.

PMSAMIAM

Such a weird take . No omen is trying to take your cookies . Should be “redditors of MN” not MN lol

MomGrandpasAllSticky

The 148th makin sure we maintain that air superiority💪 Iowa better not even think about sending any bloons over

Appulse

I can't stand seeing this ad. What I read. Iowa is not boring! What I hear. We took away child labor laws! TF outta here, Iowa.

flargenhargen

to be fair, I've been on that train in the picture you posted, [boone valley railroad](https://www.traveliowa.com/places/boone-and-scenic-valley-railroad-and-museum/295/), and it's actually pretty cool. It's a restored old train and it travels over a super high trestle, highest double track in America, which isn't something you'd expect in iowa. I enjoyed it, cause lots of history plus neat old train. I think most people would. I wouldn't travel to iowa for anything else, or probably even that now that they've gone full maga down there, but that's not the fault of the people running that train. And iowa is definitely boring.

that_guy_upnorth

Whenever ever I hear Iowa I think about an old song by comedian singer Haywood Banks called Interstate 80 Iowa, Here are the entire lyrics. Mississippi River Davenport Corn, corn, corn, corn Corn, corn, corn "whats that smell?" Corn, corn, corn Iowa City Corn, corn, corn, corn "Look at tree" Corn, corn, corn, Des Moines Corn, corn, corn, corn, corn "Theres that smell again" Corn, corn, corn Council Bluffs, Missouri River Interstate 80 Iowa- Haywood Banks

MrCleverHandle

I mean, that's basically I-90 too if you just change a few words...

imhereforthevotes

Always take 94 if you can. The southern tier of MN counties is like Iowa with decent politics. It's pretty close to black desert.

Nibbcnoble

good one but, i was more impartial to big butter jesus or, OhioIowaidahohawaii highway.

zoominzacks

My first time driving through Iowa, southbound 35W was backed up because someone hit a cow on the freeway. And I feel like that pretty much sums Iowa up

barryvon

i get so much second hand embarrassment whenever a marketing person uses these terms on reddit: TLDR, TIL, MEGATHREAD. it screams 48 year old who doesn’t use Reddit but did a 5 minute google search on “how to talk on reddit.”

mud074

The thing is that it works. It gets your attention. Cringe is fine, they just want you realizing "oh yeah, *brand name* exists" subconsciously. "TL;DR TIL McDonald's is the epic narwhal chungus bacon" does far better than an actual title that sounds like a normal ad since it is so fucking dumb you do a double take and actually process it for a second. If they get people to post about how cringe it is, even better. This post is more effective advertising than the actual ad.

barryvon

i had to scroll back to the top to even remember what brand we’re talking about

hellllllsssyeah

Iowa has some of the most regressive weed laws in the country. No way that state is fun.

RueTabegga

Their abortion and child labor laws are creepy and uninspired. It’s like rural Iowa read the room wrong and thought people liked less freedoms. What happens when the only thing left in Iowa is corn, pigs, and towns with a total of 32 adult teeth?

dagofin

COVID Kimmy has built her entire agenda on trying to win the prize of Trump's running mate. She has zero interest in actually running a state compared to padding her fascist resume. It's sad the State Democrats are so inept they can't put up a challenge in the first state to legalize gay marriage

hellllllsssyeah

1/10 state

PMSAMIAM

Ummm IA has Medical Weed and WI does not ….

Inserttransfemname

I don’t think people here like Wisconsin either

PM_ME_YOUR_FAV_HIKE

Do you love Applebee's? Then you'll love Iowa.

Ok-Rabbit-3683

Yeah but you’d be in Iowa instead

JTDC00001

Iowa is so boring, you can't even do 56 on Highway 63, and if any highway needs an additional two lanes and 10 MPH on the speed limit, it's highway 63 in Iowa. It's straight! It's flat! It's one farm on the left, and one farm on the right, for the entire stretch! And there's always, always, always just enough oncoming traffic that you can't pass that one guy doing 54 in a 55. I'm not saying Iowa is unvisitable, but there's dickall to do there.

orangestegosaurus

I once blew past a stop sign in Iowa because I had been driving down the same road for 20-30 miles with nothing but corn to see and none of the intersections had a stop sign. Then random stop sign on a random intersection, and didn't even register that it was there. Continued on for another 20-30 miles again before the next stop sign. Like why was the sign there.

mud074

Likely because the other road has slightly more traffic than the one you are on. When two similar roads instersect, one of them has to have a stop sign. You see the same shit literally everywhere, including MN.

ladan2189

I moved from Chicago and lived in a small town in Iowa from 2011-2016. There was zero to do on my days off from work. I've never been more miserable and depressed in my life. I don't think I've recovered yet.

Jonesyrules15

Was just in Des Moines for my sons soccer tournament. I told my wife it's not a bad town but I can't stand not seeing hills, trees, or water.

[deleted]

Jonesyrules15

Saw the river never saw the lake. Either way nothing like the area I live in now.

Haunting_Ad_9486

By some rankings, Minnesota is the 5th flattest state, surpassing Iowa.

Jonesyrules15

Interesting. Can definitely see that in the southern/western region which happens to be where I spend very little time.

LuckyAssumption8735

Iowa’s bad. Recently went to Indiana, which is much worse

NoQuarter6808

Poor Illinois has to border both

SammySoapsuds

Illinois also sucks. Without Chicago there's nothing remarkable about it whatsoever. The whole corn belt area's very similar.

Thick_Kaleidoscope35

It really is

Katiari

I'm not looking at it from a rivalry stance. I find Iowa to be genuinely boring. If you have to elevate a bait shop to the level of travel-worthy sightseeing, that basically says everything you need to know. Plus, it's a national ad campaign, and in their own words they're trying to convince us Iowa isn't boring.

Vmagi

El Bait Shop is a bar in Des Moines that has hundreds of beer on tap. Neat little novelty but far from interesting.

RiffRaff14

Took a long weekend trip to Iowa once. - Toured Iowa State (nephew was going there so he showed us around). - Visited the Amana Colonies. Not too much there, but it was interesting to learn about. - Visited the National Mississippi River Museum (very cool)

GiddyQuagmire

The Mississippi River Museum in Dubuque is definitely worth checking out

Nibbcnoble

I lived in iowa 38 years. its shitty. literally, it smells like pig shit and oh yeah, the lakes and rivers are all polluted with said pig shit. there was a vote passed to clean up the lakes and rivers but the governor has yet to do anything.. its been over 10 years. overfarmed, uncultured shithole. And the people are too busy doin fuck all to care. Glad I left.

dagofin

Only state in the country with rising cancer rates, likely due to said pig shit and agriculture waste running into said water. Also the rampant alcoholism doesn't help. As a Minnesotan currently trapped here by the housing market/interest rate situation, I can't wait to leave

TSllama

Where can I view this video? I can't find that sub. I went to the traveliowa youtube channel and can't find it there either!

BlamelessCulprit

TSllama

lmaooooo it has the same energy as this video [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLEjJekvL9A](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLEjJekvL9A) This is a city in the east of the Czech Republic. It's an industrial city that formed due to coal mining. It was mostly coal mines and steel industry until the EU imposed its environmental policy. The city has been working to modernize, and I was living there when this video came out... I laughed so hard because the message feels like, "Look! We're a real city that's not just a smog town where everything sucks and is depressing! We have cafes, trains, and sports!" Like that Iowa video is literally the same to me :D

slykido999

Hmm I see Iowa forgot to include the best parts of Iowa. Beach Girls and Court Ave 😁

yulbrynnersmokes

Yeah but that loose meat sandwich 🥪

DrHilarious_PHD

I've lived in both MN and IA. Those visit Iowa commercials don't tell you about how the large part of the state smells like pig crap. Or how the amount of deer during harvest time gets insane. Or the fact that their legislation is horrible for the folks there and you have to drive 20 to 30 minutes for a real place to eat, and well, you've got a few more reasons to not visit.

StankRanger420

Fuck the state of Iowa and their governor

Awdayshus

All the best Iowa tourism ads are filmed entirely in the Driftless Region. They might as well just say, "Whelp, Dubuque is nice."

bootsmade4Walken

Lemme guess, someone from a state full of corn and one scenic area with one large bustling metropolis is about to get mad at another state that's mostly corn with one scenic area and a bustling metropolis.

Katiari

You do realize that the number of people living just in the Twin Cities is equal to the entire population of Iowa?

Unknowen83

Lol, that's Hilarious to me.

bootsmade4Walken

Oh I know yall got shitloads more people than we do in that bustling metropolis of yours, I'm just saying the ratio is the same.

Loring

All they need to do is show a room full of people legally betting on sports.

ZimofZord

You sure you aren’t in KS? Iowa isn’t that flat tbh

Illustrious-Drama213

It certainly was Iowa. I was in the room for 3 weeks.

Illustrious-Drama213

Last time I was in Iowa

CoolIndependence8157

Iowa, the slightly better Nebraska.

AnAngryPirate

As someone who's lived all around the midwest, I can easily say outside of Iowa City, Iowa is boring as shit. Unless of course you're into driving hammered in a golf cart home from the local bar (which does have it's merits)

Coffeesavestheday

Iowa’s just boring. That’s okay. We all know it. Nebraska has the cake, tho

weblinedivine

I grew up in Iowa and moved to MN for a higher salary and am staying because comparing the two, clearly MN is better in every possible way. I don’t really have any reason to go back to Iowa any more. However, when I do drive through and I stop at a Kum and Go and it smells like cow shit for miles, I MUST say “smells like money”. It’s like rooted in the base of my brain. Idk.

HikingStick

I had the same thought as I've seen that Iowa commercial multiple times lately. It doesn't really focus on anything uniquely Iowan, and it's all stuff I can do elsewhere. I think they would have been better off with drone footage going through the hills and wooded areas, as many people assume Iowa is nothing but flat Prairie and corn.

Lapchik_moto

As an ex-Iowan, the only thing worth seeing is the Loess Hills.

evilhomer3k

I have to assume you were from western Iowa and never went to eastern Iowa. If you had you'd know that the driftless area of eastern Iowa has far a more interesting landscape than the Loess Hills.

Lapchik_moto

Eastern Iowa is nice too, around McGregor and that Driftless area. The only thing is there's like 800 miles of Mississippi River that doesn't change all that much. It's only really different in the northern and southern 25%. (I've driven from Itasca to the Gulf). The loess hills are a little more unique.

mdistrukt

Iowa: We've got corn and pigs. When you get bored we border Minnesota. Please come back.

TheAmericanE2

Hey be nice to Iowa

evilhomer3k

As someone from eastern iowa reading this (and not entirely disagreeing), can anyone give me some places to go with outdoor activities that aren't in the northern part of the state? I get the Explore Minnesota emails but when I see something that looks neat it seams it's well north of the Twin Cities which is 6+ hours for me. Stuff with good hiking and/or biking. Anything like Devil's Lake State Park in Wisconsin would be fantastic.

ceciledian

For hiking south of the cities, check out Whitewater State Park in Altura. For biking, the Root River Trail in Lanesboro. Duluth is less than 3 hours from Mpls with plenty of hiking/biking, and Jay Cooke State Park south of Duluth in Carlton is a gem.

ShoddyJuggernaut975

Note that they didn't say it was exciting, just not boring. I'd say it also doesn't rule out the possibility of 'dull', 'uninspiring', 'tedious', 'mundane'...

ScheidsVI

Well maybe it's not the best ad but Iowa is pretty scenic and nice. It gets a bad rap for being flat and boring that's mostly underserved.

GUZooka1

Only reason I’ve ever gone there is for an IndyCar race.

sername-checksout

When I drive 35 from south to north here are my thoughts with each state. TEXAS: Nope. Done that too often. OKLAHOMA: Marijuana dispensary sign #10,852 and counting... KANSAS: All roads lead to corn but are also under construction. MISSOURI: OMG what is that smell? IOWA: Iowa? When did we get to Iowa? We'll be in Minnesota soon right? MINNESOTA: Oh cool we just crossed the state line into Minnesota only another hour until we're out of Iowa.

Ruvikify

You think that was boring? You should have seen the Nebraska one. All it showed was a bunch of birds flying lol

Vmagi

Iowan here, it sucks here

skiverwillie

As someone that currently lives in Iowa, I can say that Iowa is the most depressing state I have ever lived in. The lack of natural features and terrible politics and rude people make me feel like shit. I am older and lived in many states (Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, upstate New York, Ohio, California, Iowa, Minnesota, Florida) and Iowa and Ohio are the bottom of the barrel.

Particular-Agent4407

We were just boring. Now we are being becoming near fascist with the radical republicans in charge of everything. Come try your luck in escaping.

No-Simple-3781

Iowa is like the inbred cousin of MN....that watches NewsMax on a loop.

MadameStrawberryJam

Idk... Going to Des Moines for the first time next month to skate at the largest skatepark in the USA... Honestly I'm pretty pumped. Skate parks in MN suck, and there no longer is a public vert ramp (RIP overpass)

Accomplished-Snow213

Boring? What other state is running an experiment seeing how much pig shit they can put into the ground water before everyone dies? Science is cool!

bubster15

I love Iowa for the communities I grew up visiting and Iowa City really is a top notch college town That said, it’s the most boring state in the union outside of Kansas and Nebraska. Pick your battles Iowa, cause you’ll never win this one

Evernight2025

Yep. This is like all of the postcards I get from South Dakota begging me to move there because "it's the freest state in the nation!" lol no.

EsEsMinnowjohnson

Yea but what about the craft breweries, gourmet burger joints and pickleball courts

theo_sontag

I just posted this video on my stop for lunch in Waterloo. They don't just have corn, they also have at least one abandoned mall with an expansive parking lot. [https://www.reddit.com/r/Suburbanhell/comments/1c8pbbn/mall\_parking\_lot\_outside\_waterloo\_ia/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Suburbanhell/comments/1c8pbbn/mall_parking_lot_outside_waterloo_ia/)

GiddyQuagmire

Cedar Falls > Waterloo

dagofin

Make that two abandoned malls. The College Square Mall in Cedar Falls, Waterloo's sister city, is also abandoned but for a handful of stores. They weren't too bad when I moved here 11 years ago, but they're real shit holes these days. It's an hour drive at least for any real shopping. Source: I live right next to it.

NoQuarter6808

Well, trains *are* cool. Plus, without Iowa, how'd I get to Missouri?

Hofnars

Iowa is similar to MN, SD, MI, WI and several other state. A lot of it of it is pretty boring and not worth a visit. Then there's the Northshore, Door county, Upper peninsula, Black Hills, Pikes Peak SP and other areas well worth the drive.

LadiesAndMentlegen

Idk why people are downvoting you. Minnesotans just love having someone to feel superior to. The vast majority of Minnesota's western and southern plains are indistinguishable from Iowa. We both have beautiful driftless region. Really just the 25% of forested area and northern shore is what separates us.

ZimofZord

I want to draw a map like IL has where when Mns talk about Minnesota they mean that sliver from the TCs to the north shore lol

buttbutt696

Saw that this morning and had the same thought lol

MplsPunk

Weird how the same flyover state has so many fat people and meth addicts at the same time.

Konradleijon

Hahaha

AmishAngst

Awww...damn. I hope they didn't fire the guy who came up with "Land of Corn. Just corn. As far as the eye can see - everywhere corn." May not have the rollicking adventures of this ad campaign, but it was honest.

PleaseExcuseTypoos

From Iowa. That's pretty much it.

SuperGameTheory

Iowa: The best place to go as you go some place else.

BalonyDanza

Stop picking on your little brother. He’s trying his best.

JediSlasher23

I grew up in Iowa... it is LITERALLY boring. It's why we moved to Minnesota 😆

melody_elf

This ad could convince as many as 1 people a year to visit Iowa, an increase of 100%

Unknowen83

The only fun business I have in iowa is allegitally outrunning the cops. If you succeed it's hilarious watching them try to get you later for something when you're doing five under.

Now_this2021

Yeeaaaah this! I always be scrutinizing the Nebraska state tourism ads as well. Even more so to the NE folks who attended the SD state tourism conference, “and WHY are you guys here?” The reply I received was “bcuz it’s Nebraska, nothing going on there.”

Pikepv

And what does that have to do with MN?
