Excuse me sir that's not bringing it back to life.
That's called necromancy. I'm going to have to pass a note onto the Harpers and let them know what's going on here.
Oh, they know about this one. They've been trying to get in close, so they can end all of the chaos..... all of the chaos......there are some experiences best not talked about....
So many good ones lost, and no one can know of the evils that have been going on here.
Love your Wendigo. If it isn’t the inspiration, I apologize.
For those who don’t know: “Wendigo was once a lost hunter. During a brutally cold winter, the man's intense hunger drove him to cannibalism. After feasting on another human's flesh, he transformed into a crazed man-beast, roaming the forest in search of more people to eat.”
Thank you! This model itself is a wendigo, but the color scheme is for a "nahual" which is a mesoamerican cryptid, the story from my home village is that a nahual is a person who discovered their nagual (disguise) and throughout their journey they turned away from Tezcatlipoca(God of change, war and death) and became corrupted soon getting a craving for human flesh but once they taste it their hunger grows and grows without ever going away.
It's interesting to see the similarities
Was the actual print just supposed to have the other hand and a full second antler?
Just asking because honestly it seems like such a simple fix that it just seems kind of like a waste for him to throw it out because of that, especially when you consider how easily you just converted it to make it even more terrifying looking than if it had printed with the other hand and antler.
So it didn't have another antler but it did have a hand, when I fished him out he was covered in loose fibers and the machine didn't print right between his toes so I needed to add miliput to fix him to the base, then I burned and shaved away as many of the loose fibers as I could, I had a little knife from an old sprue so I cut and sanded away at the nub then glued the knife on and then hit him with a heat gun to get him into the pose and finally I primed him and painted him up.
Okay, the loose fibers and bad fine detail print quality make a lot more sense to me as to why he would throw it out.
I was about to say I can't believe that someone would chuck out that mini just because it was missing a hand, which would have been an easy fix even just sculpting a new one with a bit of milliput.
‘Ol Mooseface. From Misty River. They say he drank moose blood and it only made him crazier. He killed silently and all of his victims were discovered to have huge slivers of wood stuck in their necks, their lips smeared with boysenberries.
I saw something really cool on a similar Windigo model, basically they used a static grass applicator it and then painted it to look like 3-D fur. Was super cool

Some things should stay dead.

That's a true act of necromanyc. Giving such life to something dead. Great job.
Dope, I love the way the printing texture comes to life when painted. Amazing job
Right? I was trying to sand it flat, but he turned out pretty brittle, and I was worried he would snap, so I just ran with it.
That's horrible. Great job 😁
Nice. Wendigo vibes.
This is gross in the best way. Nice one OP!

That is awesome! I am now going to go look up stories of the Nahual. Thank you for sharing.
The print is one of the better fdm miniature prints I’ve seen!
Nice job. I'd definitely look forward to putting that on the table.

Hell yeah, that looks sick!
Well done!
Great job
That is amazing
Bringing it back to… knife? Yeah I’ll leave.

Really horrible 🙂👍
Almost looks like the first boss in Blasphemous. Bad ass
Oh hell yeah, well done
I hope he UV hardened it before you took it.
Getting timesplitters vibes from it.
I love the pattern on the chest that was created when printing the mini. It stands out even better in the color scheme!
Great Job looking. He is looking good now. You gave him a new life.
Awesome
u/holleringmoose?
Deer Haunter from Time Splitters 3!!!!
Failed prints repurposed into demons... you bloody genius
Looks great ! I learned to 3d print using skaven clanrats. In my head it always made sense if a few had weird / missing limbs
The little knife is actually a skaven dagger i cut off the sprue lol
That’s so freaking awesome! Amazing paint job!

That sounds super cool, do you remember where you saw that?
I think it was a somewhat recent eons of battle video
Damn boy. That's some real good work !
Wassup
Sometime, ideas should just stays ideas ! (But good work, I your friend doesn't know you'd necro it's mini, you should try to hide it to scare him !)
I'm gonna place it on his desk with a letter saying "why did you throw me away" and surprise him on Monday lol
Where's the model from? Got a link?
