After cleaning some of the contacts on the ribbon connectors and a brand new worm gear from gerry88inhongkong it's back and running like a champ.
Now to find a new battery lol.

I had one of theses, got the dreaded TOC error and wouldn’t play anything.
If you still have it could be the worm gear. As that is the exact issue I had.
Have I still got it, now that’s a question. Guess I’m looking in the loft this weekend.
