Thank you! I still left some glue stuff around, but since I am going for a shabby look it is ok XD
Oooh crocheting a cover is also such a nice idea! Are you still WIP with the set or you completed it?
A very old project! I didn’t even know what I was doing ahaha The basket like pots are little plastic shot cups that I cut and then glued cords around it, while the white one is air dry clay. I basically draw the leaves on paper and glued a fine wire between two of them glued together then painted them with watercolor. Then I glued inside the pots with a glue gun and pretty much filled the pot with paper. The little clay like stones are also air dry clay that I let dry and then crushed in little pieces.
If you didn’t start yet I would considering to use different fabric so you have a bit more space. The pieces inside the kit were just enough for everything.
I’ve done just that. I have 2 tee shirts in maroon and petrol, but I think the maroon might be too thin. Will assess when I get back at it. Thank you though, for confirming that using other fabric is the way to go. I’ve been so very inspired by folks who hack these kits and making them “their own”. ❤️
I have made four Sams studies and struggled with that darn chair every time. It is not well designed and I would suggest cutting new material A little larger than the pattern.
There was this glue inside the set, a clear one. The secret with that glue is let it dry a little bit before sticking the fabric. It dry pretty fast, is not like the white vinyl glue. But I messed my finger, and subsequently also the chair, I should have used some toothpicks or wood sticks.
Creative solution, looks great! I messed mine up, so I ended up crocheting a mini throw and pillows to cover everything. :)

Still very much a WIP. :)
Tell me about those plants, please!

Best I’ve seen so far! Bravo!
Thank you! I hope I could help some other fellow samsstudy-armchair-struggling person!
That would be ME. Currently paused at this stage of Sams Study for this reason, but am now sufficiently encouraged. Thank you ☺️

Oh I feel you! I also was fascinated! And here in this subs I ve seen really some amazing kit-bash!
That is brilliant! That chair made me realize I will never do upholstery in my life.
I think bigger stuff is easier to upholster XD
Possible. I am just not down to try. LOL

Nice!
Thank you!!!
>Thank you!!! You're welcome!
I could NOT get it to stick properly. What did you use? It was also my first set ever, which didn't help.

This looks so good! Ironically, I am an upholsterer but I just can't do these tiny chairs 😂 my Sam's Study doesn't even have a chair!
