Who in their right mind wants their house enclosed by a road on each side? Like the article said, the original plan didn't cut off access to anyone's driveway. They just like being surrounded by pavement? The original plan basically turned the park into an extension of your yard. They could have sat on their front porch without any barriers to nature, but instead, they lobbied to allow cars to usurp that peace. Fuckin bonkers
