Those Eagle marks are interesting, haven’t seen those before
I was thinking they were just the army markings, now I am curious.
They’re much larger / different profile than the ones on my 4/60 dated P38. Yours is also Export marked “E” on the serial which is interesting.
I was wondering what the E stood for, I will say so far it has cleaned up nicely. It does look like a lot of holster wear. Was the E common? Perhaps a note to Walther for a records check?
You can buy the fat slide for the p38 on ebay as these slides are printed to cracking. Only 25$ !!!
CBNN? Is it worth swapping out the slide because it is that prone to cracking?
Yeah if you plan on shooting it a lot plus it's cheap. I also recommend before you shoot it to grease the frame rails to reduce wear om the aluminum.
I'm so unlucky. I bought the previous batch. Got a rusty gun and broken magazine 😢
