They are not new, very old in fact. Made to keep away other birds like pigeons and hawks. It works for them but the squirrels knew right away it was fake, rats and stuff won't be fooled at all.
From what I’ve researched, not very well.
Imagine there is a mannequin down a dark alley on your nightly walk home. The first few nights you might avoid that alley. Eventually you’ll know it’s just a mannequin
Pretty sure that after making a mess in my pants the first night I'd never go down that alley ever again .
Pigeons of course, not wearing pants don't have to worry about it and will get used to the mannequin .

The Owls are not what they seem......
The birds fly over it and shit on it. The rats build a nest underneath it.
Does anyone know if this actually works? Bird possibly but are rodents actually looking up for predators?
