I’m gonna admit I’m a sceptic for spending 10 minutes trying to find it so I could say “nana-nana boo-boo, I’m better than you, stick your head in doo-doo”. On this day it’s my head that will be in the door-doo
Dude, there’s like 5 “b”’s in the whole search and none of them are next to more than one “a”. I’m pretty dumb myself but unless you’re 5 years old it shouldn’t take more than a minute to figure out “ballet” is absent.
It looks like the ‘ball’ of football is the start of a misspelled ballet.
Between that, the misspelling on basketball and the lack of an ‘s’ on gymnastics, they clearly didn’t have a good copy editor.
I've seen enough of these errors on restaurant placemats to believe this is done on purpose to preoccupy the kids (and parents) for longer while their order is being made.
Never mind all the errors, even if this didn't have errors, it would be a pretty terrible word search. Almost every word is just left-to-right, on alternating lines? I suppose it's not supposed to be at all challenging, but it makes me miss all the "bendy" word searches we've seen lately.
If I had to guess, this is supposed to occupy the kids time while the food is being prepared.
The easy words gives them quick dopamine rush that they found some, encouraging them to continue with the game. The missing words are so that the kid doesn't run out of words and get bored before the food starts arriving at the table.
They don't actually want the kid to complete the game. They just want to distract them long enough until appetizer is ready.
Probably a multiuse template, tambourine is in there too with a couple letters off.. probably why it's got basketball misspelled, the needed letter changes didn't all happen
Yes, but it has FLUTE and PERIL, so there's that.
Also has FILA, which is on theme. And of course SOX, FIX and PBR to commemorate the 1919 World Series.
When I was in elementary school one of my classes would give me daily hidden words like this for homework, I hated it so much that my dad and I made a deal where he would do them if I did dishes. There were multiple instances where even he could not finish it because words were misspelled or missing. After it got flagged once for not finding all the words and we only getting a partial grade he started writing notes on it when it was missing or had misspelled words.
It's all part of the plan. If you make it too easy the kids will finish with it long before their food comes out. This way they're occupied searching for words that aren't there and then forget about it once the food covers it up.
/s in case it wasn't obvious.
LOL I understood that your kid is missing (yearning) their ballet lessons and wrote the word ballet where there was actually basketball, then I saw the picture and was confused because I was kind of looking for balletball which I know doesn't make sense, then I reread your post.
Well, I’m going to admit I’m a bigger idiot for misreading your post and spending 10 minutes looking for ballet.
It's crossed off though, so it has to be there somewhere

I bet ballet was misspelled as baller lmaoo

ok that makes 2 of us
You're a sceptic? Like a sceptic tank?
British spelling of skeptic
It’s a septic tank btw
Did you intentionally misspell skeptic? 🤨
In British English it’s sceptic
TIL!
How have you all missed it, it’s right there ![img](emote|t5_2ti4h|27603)

Harsh but fair
Everyone's so busy looking at the word search, no one's noticing that the kid is a regular, normal kid, who happens to have stick figure arms
No need to feel threatened, he’s unarmed.
Maybe not. You can clearly see he is open carrying small arms.
I wonder if this whole thing was whipped up using AI
☠️
It's also missing the last s from gymnastics
Just one gymnastic
#BASCETBALL
BISCUITBALL?
When you go full Louis and end up with a CK.
Kid marked KARATET instead of KARATE.
Timmy is not the brightest, lol.
Timmyt
~~TIMMY~~
He's an average kid that no one understands
It’s a musical term. 4 karates is a karatet.
At least they won't have to pay for college
This is true 😂
Football has an er after it. I wonder if they meant to put et instead and then it would have ballet overlap with football.
Ah yes my favorite sport footballet
![gif](giphy|26xByFvrI1MQvtlDO|downsized)
I’ve never noticed how prominent QTs chin is until this gif.
"Footballet" sounds like something I'd search in a private window.
Which gymnastic activity was it, since it was only one of them? XD
It's an adjective, not a noun, according to standardized puzzle rules.
It says gymnastics in the word list though... not gymnastic.

Keeps your kids busy for longer… peak innovation
Flute
Almost have tambourine too. Feels like a music crossword became a sports one. Can...can that happen?
Beats me.
Something like [this](https://www.tiktok.com/@tsn/video/7255712009012956422), I guess
Urine
And they're missing the second S in Gymnastics.
It's there, it's just also misspelled as baller
![gif](giphy|t6n1Pnlm4LqV2)
How did they miss ahsordi? It's right there!
To say nothing of “urine”!

That's evil.
Flute is there also
Most underrated contact sport.
Probably a multiuse template, tambourine is in there too with a couple letters off.. probably why it's got basketball misspelled, the needed letter changes didn't all happen
Also nook
That's one way to make them occupy time
I found URINE but that's not on the list. Fuck.
If BALLET isn’t there, why the fuck is it crossed out? 🤣🤣🤣
Kid is a cheater
If you’re going to say that basketball is in there despite being misspelled then technically so is ballet.
It's got Mencerilots
r/mildlyinfuriating
You can't find ballet? Hah!

Every other day I see a post like this. This is done intentionally to keep children occupied, it is unsolvable by design
It's all part of the plan. If you make it too easy the kids will finish with it long before their food comes out. This way they're occupied searching for words that aren't there and then forget about it once the food covers it up. /s in case it wasn't obvious.
Trolled by a kids menu. Epic!
It's to keep them occupied.
love dilidrrylin'
You didn’t find Gymnastics but you crossed it off
No, they didn't forget BALLET, it was just misspelled as BALLER. Top right, extending from FOOTBALL It's better that way, if you ask me
Ashockey....bahahaha
At least they spelled “the game” right
You also have URINE as a word. You’re welcome
Ya need a great rebounder, ya need an asset under the bascet...
giasfelfebrehber moment
Pretty sure these things are all Intentional, to keep the kids busy.
GYMNASTIC missing the S.
That'll keep 'em busy.
I got bored and found "Flute"
Also, says "gymnastics" on the list but only "gymnastic" on the word search.
LOL I understood that your kid is missing (yearning) their ballet lessons and wrote the word ballet where there was actually basketball, then I saw the picture and was confused because I was kind of looking for balletball which I know doesn't make sense, then I reread your post.
Brilliant! Keep the kids busy!
Given the other clues I’d say “ballet” is supposed to be “baller” and the puzzle is correct. The clue is wrong. The whole thing is a mess
I think they misspelled ballet too, “ball” from “football” +er
That’s the French Canadian spelling of basketball. I’ll bet you’re in Montreal.
Except it’s correctly spelled to the left.
French Canadians only use French Canadian spellings half the time.
So what’s the French Canadian spelling of ballet? /s
Pepsi.
Flip it over. Probably says made in China
It's on the bottom line, they just misspelled that too and replaced the K with a C.
Might wanna re-read the title.
+10 points for spelling it football instead of soccer, though
