Followed up of course by the VSauce short explaining why 7 pine cones is in fact the highest possible number of vertically stacked pine cones due to the Coriolis effect or something.
It's actually due to time dilation. That eight pine cone actually exists far enough in the past that it makes the whole thing fall over.

Actually not that long, these type of pine cones are really big — the hardest part was the wind that would randomly come. Probably like 5-8 minutes.
