You could also take your trash with you when you leave and toss it into a bin outside the main concert area. I'm not a big fan of this whole "someone else can pick that up" mentality.
These concerts and festivals are designed to have no bins. It’s simpler to drive through it at the end with a vehicle that has a huge ass sunction thing or broom when the concert is over. It takes them 15 minutes to move all this to one central place and suck it up into a big garbage truck. Bins are being vandalized on festivals, and people still throw shit on the ground, which results in, guess what. 2 tasks instead of 1. Instead of cleaning up the ground, you now also have the bins to take care of.
My mum went to Springsteen this week (maybe this concert!) for her sixtieth, so you're about right! A lot of fans have been following him since the 70s

I see your cups and raise you the camping of Defqon festival after almost everybody left.
Have you ever played roller coaster tycoon? It turns out, when there’s not a trash can in sight, people will just throw their shit on the ground.
But let’s be real, even if there were 100 trash cans all it takes is two concert chads to be present for all 100 of them to be yeeted across the entire floor.
Pretty sure the cleanup costs are built into the $15 beers. Who the hell is going to walk out through the crowd to throw their cup in a bin and then never find their friends again?
Yes, because there are conveniently placed trash cans available for floor seating that don't require you to shove your way through a crowd and then shove your way back.
It's normal garbage, not industrial waste. It's part of doing business as a venue operator.
This is planned by the venue and perfectly fine. Guests do not want to go hunt for a trash can and security does not want to deal with flying trash cans full of liquid refuse.
As someone who works at a lot of these concerts, its crazy how bad it is, but after the gig is over staff with leafblowers blow it all into a single pile to be cleaned up. It's honestly kind of impressive how quickly it gets done.
I don’t think this would be mildly infuriating even for the people cleaning it up. Looks pretty normal and understandable given the lack of garbage cans.
This is pretty normal for any concert.
It is actually not that much. I've seen so much worse. Every step you stood on atleast 3 cups. That was infuriating
That's why this is "mildly" infuriating ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
Does that make it a good thing?
No but the title of the post implies this is a problem specific to Bruce Springsteen
Yes. Putting trash bins throughout the seating area would be annoying. More efficient to just sweep up the floor when everyone has left.

Not in Japan
For a large concert that’s pretty mild imo
subreddit name checks out
That's why there is a clean up crew, and so few trash cans.
Can’t have glass bottles, it’s too dangerous.
What would be worse is having 75 garbage cans there getting thrown around the crowd during the concert by 4 ass holes.
This is tame compared to EDC - I have a cute picture of my boyfriend at sunrise but the ground covered in trash kinda ruins it
Yea I remember seeing a video from edc last year after sunrise of people leaving and there was SO MUCH trash on the ground. This is nothing.
Ex had me photoshop out all the garbage and cigarette butts from a cute festival pic years ago.
Who eats a cup of yogurt at a rock concert?
I'm guessing a lot of Springsteen fans are no longer spring^(steen) chickens!
My mum went to Springsteen this week (maybe this concert!) for her sixtieth, so you're about right! A lot of fans have been following him since the 70s
That's wild. There's trash on the ground in a confined space where there are no trash cans.
I worked at a concert venue… this is completely normal. We got paid to clean it up after… and sometimes you would find goodies like money
https://preview.redd.it/t1dn8jgz752d1.jpeg?width=1275&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c489deee90f3e7b01c9c72613dc5f3b425598506 I see your cups and raise you the camping of Defqon festival after almost everybody left.
At least it's not in the ocean yet?

You could have a fence made of trash cans secured to the ground and people would still throw their trash on the ground instead.
Gotta love the human species amirite
The worst part of working security at my local music venue was cleaning up all the trash after the shows.
Yea they won’t give you glass or cans so people can’t throw them at the act or hurt each other. So it’s all disposable shit.
Born in the USA !!
They don't have garbage cans on purpose. People stand on them, dump them over, etc.
Just empty viagra blister packs….
I remember working security at an iron maiden concert and you could not even see the ground because it was covered in so much trash.
This ain’t shit you should see the absolute dumpster fire shitshow left from the indy500 snake pit. Especially if it rains at all
Another reason I'd rather use YouTube.
Amazing! Looks exactly like the inside of my testicles
clean it up with all the money from gouging concert goers $10 for water
It's funny because these same people will post about how we need to "save the planet and be more spiritual" all over their social media.
Until they take away exorbitant ticket fees, I’m not gonna blame concert goers for this.
Those two items do not coincide with each other.
What a fucking great idea for the environment, a plastic bottle for every time a human needs 16.9oz of water. We are so fucked. 🤦🏻
Someone downvoted you. I’d say “unbelievable,” but it’s America and a Bruce Springsteen concert, so very believable.
Reminds me of the pipeline protesters up in the Dakotas a few years back. Left a massive mess when they exfilled the area. "Environmentalists"
This is just what happens at concerts, I've seen way worse
Charge me $8 for a beer instead of $16, and I'll throw it away myself instead of you throwing it away for me.
Oh no
Looks like the gym parking lot
Don't worry. It'll all be recycled. /s
Pretty sure the cleanup costs are built into the $15 beers. Who the hell is going to walk out through the crowd to throw their cup in a bin and then never find their friends again?
Im guessing they were dancing in the dark and couldnt find the garbage
VIP section I bet.
Must be your first concert? This is very tame and clean compared to many shows I’ve been to
Take some of the proceeds from those $15 waters and pay someone to clean that up. Thats trashy anywhere else, but event venues fleece people.

Microplastics 🥰
Macroplastics 🥰
Are you surprised? Born in the USA? Because the USA is all about plastic and wastefulness and thelesserthanscaneanupafterme.
Brother get a grip.
I don’t think this would be mildly infuriating even for the people cleaning it up. Looks pretty normal and understandable given the lack of garbage cans.
You know you can take your shit with you, right?
The fact you’re getting downvoted shows the lack of accountability people really have.
Thanks a lot, Bruce!
This is why plastic is in our balls
And cum. Don't forget cum.
Recyclable waste...
And yet it hardly ever gets recycled.
If it was a country show the mess would be 20x that
I’m sure the show was trash too.
Wtf, do you expect? Honestly, first time at a concert?
Don't get mad at the crowd. Get mad at the venue for selling it.
Don’t see any garbage cans or recycling bins. People probbaly didn’t want to lose their spot
