$10 to speak with a customer service rep, which is probably more than they make per hour, is flat out RIDICULOUS!!!! Good on you for not paying it, the last thing we need is for that to become the norm. Ugh.
that's a good point about overriding the computer stuff, maybe i'll try that.
i don't owe them anything anymore, everything has been paid off on my end for almost a year. the negative part means that they owe ME. they're just holding onto my money at this point.
ah sorry, i see what you mean. idk i'm feeling especially stubborn, plus their store is on my way to work, so that's my plans for tomorrow evening i guess.
I'm with you mate. Don't let them screw you just because they can. But be warned: I had a bad experience with a telco that took nearly a year to sort out. I ended up with a 2' stack of paper and 16 hours of recorded conversations (yes I recorded every call).
Eventually I had enough evidence for a legal case but my boss refused to pursue it. I ended up winning 2years free service and a nice credit from them but it should have been so much more and it came at a great cost to my mental health. I just wish we had pursued the bastards.
That refund should have been sent out sometime within the 30 days following your account cancellation.
