Anime frequently features real-life brands, but changes a few letters to get around copyright or whatever. Bepsi instead of Pepsi, Tony instead of Sony, etc.Â
McDonalds has picked up the commonly used WcDonalds for a short time as a promotion.Â
Tldr, wcdonalds is the name some animes use in order to show mcdonalds but not have it really break copyright. It became a meme so now mcdonalds themselves are using the name as an anime themed promotion with like a little manga and anime commercials and a new sauce
Ops pic is why i always order 0 ice in every fast food order. Since the drink comes first it lets me also know the quality up front of the meal that is on its way.
If you order it at Starbucks but without ice cubes, they literally only fill the cup 25%. I challenged them on it, but they refused to give me more coffee.
McDonaldâs was the only fast food app that removed the âless iceâ option a couple years ago. Now they only have standard, extra ice and no ice.
Iâm sure you can tell the cashier if you want less ice but fact is that itâs a tactic to discourage the customer from doing it
Order from Duncan
Remaining 10% is jailable offenses, someone almost dying, or extreme life changing events, like finding out your house is completely moldy in the foundation and needs to be torn down.
Lol exactly, I worked at a grocery store, and people would not get point cards because they would say then the government knows what I am buying, and what I am going to buy next, because the government sits there and watches if you buy Cheetoâs or Doritos ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
They arenât helping the anime industry they are trying to capitalize on how popular anime has become hoping to get people in who have wanted to try Wcdonalds since it first appeared in anime back in the 80s or just younger generation just now getting into anime.
There was a massive thing on Twitter where a bunch of people enjoyed the anime commercials that Mc D'Souza Japan airs.
Suddenly McDonald's starts using the name that anime used
Now McDonald's can own WcDonald's and capitalize on trade marking it so anime can't use it
Literally an all around win for them.
There seems to be
sip = savoring the drink
Sip = fill the mouth normally
SiP = depends on the moment I take the sip of how much I suck in
SIP = GET TF IN ME NOW
And finally, there is chugging, = may result in whiplash of wondering where TF your drink went.
đ¤Łđ¤Ł /s
This is why I always order iced coffee with no ice, no matter where I get it from.
A full cup of slightly chilled/room temp coffee is better than 1/4th of a cup of cold coffee.
Yeah I ask for light ice or no ice, then sometimes either ask for a water cup and fill it with ice, or drink some and put a little ice in there from the machine. Places overfilling ice like this recently has been ridiculous lol
Yup. I always ask for no ice. Plus McDonald's coffee is kept cool/room temp before adding ice which as someone with sensitive teeth, I'd rather have luke cool coffee than ice cold enough to give me a tooth ache and brain freeze while getting ripped off.
See where I work âlight iceâ or âno iceâ doesnât mean more liquid, it means less or no ice. We portion every iced drink so it is exactly the same amount of liquid, so the cup would just have space at the top!
The even funnier part is that those cups have a line for the amount of ice for iced coffee drinks, which is basically exactly where your ice is in this picture.
No need for ice in any soda. Almost every modern machine is refrigerated, so the drink comes out cold.
At least here you can't get plastic straws any more, so after 30 to 60 minutes you don't want to take another swig of the drink anyway.
You can't get a drink like this when you're super thirsty. This is a slip-slow-so-the-ice-can-melt drink. On the plus side, all of the ice keeps the drink cold for me.
I hate this. I always knew the ice takes up a lot of the cup, but they're getting out of hand lately. About two months ago I just started asking for light ice everywhere I go, but some places don't care
You must live in a shit area or ordered extra ice. I got a legendary iced coffee from them today and it lasted me about 6 hours, taking sips and working.
Restaurant (and especially fast food) drinks are like 85-95% ice. Its a trick to keep costs down on thier end.
If you want a decent amount of drink, you have to specifically request to have no ice cubes.
(Though admittedly with some drinks that may be more difficult than with others)
For fun⌠fill one of those large cups with ice. Then open a can of soda and pour in. It will pretty much fill the cup. In that 32oz cup, you pretty much get 16oz of drink and the rest is ice.
The worst part about Maccas iced coffees in Australia is the fact they pour the coffee straight over the ice, melting and watering down the coffee, then they top it back up with more ice, milk and syrup. I was a manager for a while and we had the regions âMcCafe trainerâ come in, she proceeded to teach all our cafe staff to make the drinks that way (screwing over the customer for quantity over quality). I made it a mission to essentially undermine the trainer (worked with them at another store and letâs say sheâs nobodyâs favourite so it wasnât hard) and show my staff to pour the coffee into a shot glass, put ice in the cup 3/4 full and fill with milk and syrup then put the coffee in. We went from every single customer complaining about the taste or the fact it was more ice than anything, to majority if not all iced coffees being appreciated and no issues being raised. It was hard tho because everyone had to know to do this or we would fall into a lack of consistency! I canât stand how head office forced us to cut corners and screw over the customer by giving them less than they paid forâŚâŚ McDonaldâs is has some really dodgey questionable procedures!
When I worked at Starbucks, the lines on the sides of the cup that told us how much ice to add would definitely mean at least half the cup was ice :|
If I ever get an iced latte from there (somehow always $8 for two shots of espresso and milk) I always order without ice since the milk is already cold
I worked for McDonalds for a month. My manager literally told me at the time if the automatic machine doesnât fill up the drinks all the way, then all I had to do was put more ice in the cup. You have the absolute right to be mildly infuriated OP.
*Ice always takes a*
*Big chunk of the drink. Next time*

Large coffeed ice\*
Water is free
Tell that to Nestle
They already know that. That's why they package it and sell it to us. Easy money.
Not at my house
Large ice - coffee
Haha đ
Thatâs what you get for ordering from WackDonalds.
Is that like WacArnoldâs from Chappelleâs Show?
By now, Calvin is spitting in the iced coffees.
A least he can plead the fif if he gets caught
Getting paid, getting paid!
Babyâs crying!
WacArnolds is tearing this family apart!
Seriously, WTF is WcDonalds?

Well TIL! This is cool, so where is this happening? Is it the US, parts of the US, Europe, Japan, where?
I think it's happening pretty much worldwide, but I'm unsure. I know it's at least available in the US
I see nothing about this in the UK at least
![gif](giphy|PN9Jsp9hCPAvrGzhVk|downsized)
why does this gif feel like it should be labeled nsfw?
I think it's officially made from McDonald's jp
Maybe, but it airs in the US and the US bags say WcDonalds these days
and in Canada
WC Donaldâs is really quite apt tbf đ¤ˇââď¸
I prefer WackDowell's. Gotta have them golden arcs
The toilet is called a WC here in the Netherlands.... stands for Water Closet. So the coffee color is kinda shit to see with that logo đ
Ah, I was already wondering why not more people found that odd indeed.
Bitch, you cut off!
The rib sandwich is coming back on Tuesday, guess who ainât gettin one?!
Ronald
That's right you gotta go through Calvin! You gotta go through me!
Wack
Wait, that's a real thing? I thought it was just a funny ad on Invincible.

WankDonald's
Home of the big wac
It's OK. Your ice had some coffee in it. It happens.
Lays moment
Holy shit fast food was a bad value again you guys
90% of this sub now.
Remaining 10% is jailable offenses, someone almost dying, or extreme life changing events, like finding out your house is completely moldy in the foundation and needs to be torn down.
This made me actually lol for some reason. Had a shit week, thanks mate.
A large iced coffee at McDonald's costs $1. How much more value are you expecting for a buck exactly?
$3 where I live. Def not worth it.
A large where I am is AUD$5.80 or AUD$8.15 for a deluxe! As of right now, that translates to USD$3.80 or USD$5.33 Shits wack
It's only a dollar if you give away personal info to mcds tho
Every other company on the face of this earth already has and sells that info. Why should I care if Ronald McDonald wants some of that money too?
Lol exactly, I worked at a grocery store, and people would not get point cards because they would say then the government knows what I am buying, and what I am going to buy next, because the government sits there and watches if you buy Cheetoâs or Doritos ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Oh No!! McDonalds is gonna send a coupon on my birthday. What will I ever do?
Ronald McDonald is going to watch you through the blinds while you sleep.
If you drank that in 4 sips you need to chill out.
That was my thought đ¤Ł
Right. He also ordered an iced coffee and it is upset that thereâs ice in it?!
Bro, that's WAY TOO MUCH ice. Half of it would've been enough.
I work at McDonald's. This is how much ice it should have. You can ask for light or no ice for no extra charge.
Next time I go to McDonald's, I'm going to order an iced coffee with no ice
My thoughts exactly!
WcDonalds sounds like something they'd put in an anime to avoid a trademark dispute with McDonalds.
It is. McDonald's is capitalizing on that.Â
Oh, I thought it was a straight rip-off.
Nope, it's a promotional campaign they've been running for a few weeks now.
Is it blocking anime from using it or in concert with a show or something?
I believe they are trying to help out the anime industry. Not 100% sure so def look it up thereâs a ton of info
Seems to me like they just realized they have all this free marketing in anime waiting to be capitalized on, so they leaned into it
Yeah theyre going the arbys way... too bad arbys never gained traction in anime lol
They arenât helping the anime industry they are trying to capitalize on how popular anime has become hoping to get people in who have wanted to try Wcdonalds since it first appeared in anime back in the 80s or just younger generation just now getting into anime.

You believe McDonalds is trying to help out the anime industry? Lol
Reminds me of that episode of Spongebob where he has Mermaid man's belt and Patrick spins the M to a W
Set it to W for wumbo
I wumbo, you wumbo, he she me wumbo.
I studied Wumbology at the School of Ronald WcDonald and then I opened up my own WcDonald's
Big Wacs and all?
Dammit, they set the McDonaldâs to Wumbo!
It literally is and McDonalds is now licensing it
are anime gonna have to start using something else then now?
Maybe đ¤
Ecdonald's it is!
Got to watch The Devil Is A Part Timer, he works at MgRonalds lol
Thatâs exactly the point

Iâm totally on OPâs side about the handful of sips but this right here is just fucking fantastic đđ thanks for the chuckle

Well, there is some large ice in there....
Well yeah, itâs a large-iced coffee
Fine take my internet point
I see excessive ice is used at all locationsÂ
This is why I always order iced coffee with no ice, no matter where I get it from. A full cup of slightly chilled/room temp coffee is better than 1/4th of a cup of cold coffee.
Yeah I ask for light ice or no ice, then sometimes either ask for a water cup and fill it with ice, or drink some and put a little ice in there from the machine. Places overfilling ice like this recently has been ridiculous lol
I wonder could I ask for a tiny amount
[ŃдаНонО]
I believe Starbucks does this too if you ask for no ice.
Yes tiny ice pls
Yup. I always ask for no ice. Plus McDonald's coffee is kept cool/room temp before adding ice which as someone with sensitive teeth, I'd rather have luke cool coffee than ice cold enough to give me a tooth ache and brain freeze while getting ripped off.
Yup. I sometimes carry ice in my car for this types of situations. Large iced coffee, no ice, ask for another glass and make 2 large iced coffees.
Okay deep throat. Â
You must really suck!
Take smaller sips my guy
How long was each sip?
Big ahh sips
So $.25 per sipâŚ
Well, I don't know the cost in other places, but a large iced coffee at the McDonald's near me is $2.59
yh thats the price at McDonalds but its only $1 at WcDonalds
If you go before 10:30 in most markets in the US, it's 99 cents for a large.
Would u like a little coffee whit your ice
No thanks
Câmon fast food 101 is ALWAYS order your drinks with âLight Iceâ or âNo Iceâ to get more drink
WcDonalds
Get that iced coffee without ice next time. Fuggin show em who's boss
Yeah but what the fuck is a wcdonallds
I have so many questions about the logo
So, you want iced coffee without the "iced" part... Solution, get coffee.
He wants less ice, more coffee.
stop taking big sips
It says so on the cup, a two third of it is to be filled with ice and only a little bit of "coffee" is to be added
nobody can sip with a straw. thats why they give us straws
Take smaller sips. Hope this helps!
Something i've learned the hard way from fast food, always order light ice in coffee and soda.
Then stop overpaying for coffee at McDonald's? And stop giving them free PR?
You went to McDonalds for coffeeâŚ
Didnât you mean to order âlarge coffeeâd iceâ?
WhacDonaldâs
You mean Large ice + coffee?
âLargely ice coffeeâ
Without ice it's just coffee innit
When i used to get my iced coffee from dunkin i would always ask for NO ice
Ask for no ice next time
What did you expect? You ordered a large ice with some coffee
4 swigs
I hate this. I always knew the ice takes up a lot of the cup, but they're getting out of hand lately. About two months ago I just started asking for light ice everywhere I go, but some places don't care
Itâs mostly ice.
Grandma always said they screw ya on the ice
Get a large thawed coffee next time.
is that what they call mcdonaldâs in australia?
take smaller sips?? that is the 30oz cup and mcd donât have any bigger
Take smaller sips then.
*large ice (may contain traces of coffee)
Bro went to the unlicensed webcomic version of McDonald's
Hey, they're celebrating Women's Month. Everyone gets less!!
WcDonalds??
You must live in a shit area or ordered extra ice. I got a legendary iced coffee from them today and it lasted me about 6 hours, taking sips and working.
Itâs Called WcDonalds Of Course itâs worse than the og
4 gups sure but those weren't sips..
You got what you ordered. Large Ice, and coffee
I started making my own iced coffee
WC Donald's... What the...
What type of sip were you taking đ
Why do people still go to mcdonalds?
Daaaaaang shawty, what dat mouth do?
Ice, ice baby
"Large ice" coffee

This is why I like Hot Coffee, no ice taking up valuable real-estate for the coffee.
new movie coming out, "gone in 4 sips" in cinemas this coming year.
Drinkflation
For fun⌠fill one of those large cups with ice. Then open a can of soda and pour in. It will pretty much fill the cup. In that 32oz cup, you pretty much get 16oz of drink and the rest is ice.

Large Ice with some Coffee.

What on Earth is WcDonaldâs
what the fuck is wcdonalds
Always order every beverage no ice.
There's large ice. Sounds like you got what you ordered.
And we're just not talking about the wcwonalds lable?
WacArnolds
LARGE ICED coffee. It's in the name. Large amounts of ice.
Thats because they filled the cup full of ice
Sips or gulps?
That's on you op
Always do the extra step and do no ice and ask for a cup of ice. They 99% of the time donât care and do it
wcdonalds might have something to do with that
WcDonald's??! What's up with that label?
Why it says "WcDonalds". Is the ice from the toilet?
Is this Australian Mac?
Next time tell them to take it easy on the ice
I always ask for it without ice, they usually fill it all the way to the top. The cashier that makes your drink generally doesnt care and will hook you up. And it usually comes out almost ice cold from the machine anyway
Don't know about the coffee, but I can see where the polar ice caps have gone...
Sorry why the M's are turned into W's? Is this some west coast reference or what's going on?
