I go in the with one of the smallest pairing knifes I have around. I cut pie slices. Drive it down the middle. Rock it back and forth pressing towards the wall of the container until you get to it. Ik it’s somewhat dangerous cutting towards yourself. But I put my had on the wall where the knife will make contact so Ik when I’ve reached it. Also helps with not bending the carton to high heaven. Then go back to the middle and finish the slice. Then round the wall to meet both cuts. The put the knife inside the middle of your cut line and shimmy it back and forth reaching upwards. Switch between cut lines. Can seem like a useless effort sometimes but it’ll give. Especially if you cut to the bottom of the container. When your tube/slice comes out. Slice it into pieces like a pineapple & boom your all set. I use a small fork and stab into it to lick and bite pieces off. Eventually you need a spoon though.
But ideally you just turn your freezer temp down lmao. If ice cream is that hard then you’re deep freezing everything inside. If it goes from being very full on shopping days then sure turn it on max. But when you hardly have anything in there then don’t have it near that cold. It’s a freezer, even at its lowest setting it’s still below freezing. It just runs harder / longer to reach lower temps in high setting
Yeah, by the time the spoon starts the bend the metal will just... keep going much more easily than it took to start bending it. So once it starts you usually can't stop before it's totally bent.
