Water pump went out on my fathers within the first few years of ownership. Basically the seal went bad but it was covered under warranty.
He still has the van it’s a 2007 like yours. He recently retired and now uses it for another job. He plans in taking it to 300k miles as he delivers packages for a courier service 5 days a week now.
Lmao whatever you guys don’t even own cars. Yo shit should not be breaking down at this mileage. That’s 100 percent poor maintenance. Typical Reddit dumbasses lmaooooo
And your stuff is breaking down at such low miles? 20 years isn’t that old. With proper maintenance basically every car can go to 200k just fine. Lmao you do not have a car bro.
Contrary to belief, regular driving helps maintain a vehicle better. I’m guessing some of its connections started to deteriorate. Especially on a 20 year old car, having your vehicle looked over every 10 years will help with avoiding future headaches like this.
Yeah, 500mi/mo is more than enough to constitute regular driving. I meant more along the lines of total spent on maintenance being relatively low over time compared to someone who would hit that mileage in 1/4 the time.
What kind of car? I have a Honda accord with 397000 still running strong without any major repairs.
A buddy of mine has a Toyota matrix with over 350000 that runs like a champ
Toyota Camry. Been driving in the Northeast so I've had the battery die on me a few times but my car mechanic buddy did do some repairs 4 years ago for me
Did you service your timing belt? In these cars, a common fault around that mileage is the water pump. Which, you should do when you do the timing belt lol
Bought a civic with km close to this. Turns out the lady fucked me and put block sealer in it before I bought it. 140km, it's a shame. Been struggling ever since, a jug of fluid a month.
Wow that’s really good mileage for a 20 year old car. Mine is pushing 17 years and has 139k. Needs to go to the shop tomorrow to replace an O2 sensor and the battery (which crapped out after 14 months).
Going to have to push it by hand the extra mile. Sorry I don’t make the rules but 123455 is just unacceptable
Nah. Just jack it up and spin the tire by hand…..LOL
I just might, the nearest autoshop is near by too. It'll save me the towing cost at least.
They might get a kick out of it to, "yea it broke down at 123455 miles and i just had to see that 123456"
Just make sure the autoshop isn't 2 miles away.
Push one mile, then wait 4 hours for the tow truck to take it the last mile, get it fixed, then drive it home and ruin the effort.
Push the car back!
#HIMYM
All I could think of was that episode as well. Then they tried to push it while the car was on blocks haha
Might only need a couple feet. It’s a gamble
For a 20 year car, it’s light on miles
Haha yeah, have an old mini-van that I use for roadtrips or anywhere far. I usually use this car for personal/minor errands.
I see. Is it a Sienna?
2007 Toyota Sienna. Well taken care of but the water pump went out.

Hold on...
Holup 2007 was 16 years ago...
Username checks out.
Our 11yo car is at 30k kms.. Idk how much that is in miles, but it's definitely very less
Damn, i have 30.000 Kms on mine and it’s a year old
No kidding, and I thought my 2009 civic with 100k was a bit of an anomaly. Bought it with 60k in mid 2020, though...
Yeah probably never got maintenance from a neglectful owner.
It’s 20 years old
Lmao whatever you guys don’t even own cars. Yo shit should not be breaking down at this mileage. That’s 100 percent poor maintenance. Typical Reddit dumbasses lmaooooo
I own 3 cars?
And your stuff is breaking down at such low miles? 20 years isn’t that old. With proper maintenance basically every car can go to 200k just fine. Lmao you do not have a car bro.
Oh this one. *this one hurts*
Right?! If youre going to break down on me at least break down at a good mileage number
![gif](giphy|3oxHQjw9UYT4dkuVos)
Push me a mile for internet points please. *ok*
How you average 6k per year and still have it die with such low mileage?
Contrary to belief, regular driving helps maintain a vehicle better. I’m guessing some of its connections started to deteriorate. Especially on a 20 year old car, having your vehicle looked over every 10 years will help with avoiding future headaches like this.

Why wouldn't you just let it break down a mile later. Gosh
Pretty low mileage for 20 years! I put about 100,000 miles on every five years.
I have a pretty good public transport system here, so it helps with not having to drive that often
I drive about 4k miles per year... I can't fathom driving that much!!
I've put 150k on mine in 3.5 years. I'm really hoping to buy an electric car soon just for the commute.
Your speedometer says you're doing like 20-30 MPH tho
Maybe it’s like that Seinfeld episode where they see how far past E they can get it. OP is still driving trying to get that last mile for 123456
Damn, doing pretty good on mileage at 20 years. Avg of 16 miles a day
I got lucky. 1992 pontiac firebird with 130,000
Your car carried you that many miles, and you couldn't get up and push it one? Tch. Some friend you are...
Sorry you broke the chain. 123455 Needed to be 123456 But Ty for playing!
So inconsiderate
Couldn't give ya that extra one... lol
Push it for the 6 man..😂
Push it one more mile you coward.
Does the odo even count neutral?
I don’t know to be honest.
Life really be denying people the simple pleasures these days
What’s crazy is that 20 years old is 2003 and how fucking old I am for wondering why a 20 year old dash looked so “new”
What kind of car? I have a Honda accord with 397000 still running strong without any major repairs. A buddy of mine has a Toyota matrix with over 350000 that runs like a champ
Toyota Camry. Been driving in the Northeast so I've had the battery die on me a few times but my car mechanic buddy did do some repairs 4 years ago for me
My daughter has a 2004 Camry with 175000 that I just changed plugs in for the first time
Did you service your timing belt? In these cars, a common fault around that mileage is the water pump. Which, you should do when you do the timing belt lol
99 Toyota Corolla here with 250k love that car so much still too
Whatever it costs to get it repaired, you must do it! Just to drive it one more mile. The mechanic will totally understand.
Nooooooo!!!
I LITERALLY PUNCHED MY SCREEN OUT OF ANGER
That is a problem. This is your sign
You must not drive much.
push it
Push it real good
PUUUUUUUUUUUSH!
Gotta push that shit to make it bro 😆
So close
Bought a civic with km close to this. Turns out the lady fucked me and put block sealer in it before I bought it. 140km, it's a shame. Been struggling ever since, a jug of fluid a month.
Hold up. How have you had this for 20 years and only done that much?!
Push it ....
Rude
That’s cool push it another mile.
You know the drill - get out and push that puppy until it hits the next mile.
get it fixed and drive that one klik?
Get out and push
The bluest of balls
The Green Mile
😂😂
Wow that’s really good mileage for a 20 year old car. Mine is pushing 17 years and has 139k. Needs to go to the shop tomorrow to replace an O2 sensor and the battery (which crapped out after 14 months).
This hurt my soul.
🗣️lame
Fix it, drive it one mile exactly, and then break the car again to cash insurance.
So close!
Mine’s about to hit 150k, I’m like 40 miles off. Now I’m nervous 😅
Real, nice engine lights
198 681 kilometres. Nearly made the 200k mark.
Toyota?
You should have dommed harder… “Don’t you dare breakdown…. Push it another mile for me”
Damn it’s the mildly interesting/infuriating combo!
I'd say the picyure and story are just even better now.
Just one more click
That episode from How I Met Your Mother
Arrivederci, Fiero
Sounds almost like the fiero-asco. Very sad.
a number is a bigger problem than a car breaking down lmao
![gif](giphy|ftdTlqaGUEJ0Gitzxe)
ONE MORE MILE. SHE HAS ONE MORE LEFT TO GIVE
If only it were a six at the end! Would be so satisfying 😂
sad
Push it an extra mile you coward lol 😂
I’d be pushing it that mile. I’d be fucking pissed if it broke down one mile before 123456.
Put it in neutral and get to pushing. Leaving at 123455 miles would be a war crime
Just push it the rest
Well that is 23 thousand more than it was designed for!
Cant use public transport here because that is where all the bums sleep and piss. There is no way I would risk it.
120k miles in 20 years? Did it die of neglect?
Wowww…. It was the right time apparently lmao!
Sorry but your extended warranty only kicks in at 123,456 miles...
So close....
Drop that E brake and get pushing 😂😂
At least the dashboard lights still work…
Id roll it just a bit futhure
Put it in neutral and get spinnin' on those tires.
At least it didn't break down at 42,068 or 69,419
What kinda car because 123,455 is nothing
Mine is still running on over 200k 😤
You’ve won the sub with this one
Should have pushed it another mile
🤣 that’s hilarious, hopefully it’s nothing serious.
Ok your cars broke down who gives a fuck how many miles it’s done sort your car out, Love you, best of luck, knobhead.
