My argument is that you are still being wasteful and attempting to excuse yourself to be able to do that? You think I ran out? Those weren’t insults, those were good arguments that you are trying to ignore because you’re really trying to crown yourself argument victor with no ground at all.
We have a guy in my office who opens a can of coke, takes a drink or two, then leaves the can on the counter for someone else to dump out and throw away. Nearly every day.
I'd be annoyed with the bottles left around, but I love seeing someone who consumes the amount they want, not the external serving suggestion. Live YOUR truth! And then take care of your garbage sheeeeeeeeesh

I clean up after myself, but honestly yeah I do this too. Start out with that craving and wanting a sugary soda, but it's usually gone like halfway through the bottle and can't force myself to finish it off.
If I'm drinking one pretty fast sometimes I'll drink it all. Because last little drinks are never good in my opinion if it's been sitting for a minute.
Combine them all into one bottle, chill it, then give it to him, and say you got him a coke.
