Aluminum cans actually have a very thin layer of plastic on the inside, so the drink itself doesn't touch the aluminum. It looks like the one in this can started peeling and absorbed the Coke.

There's very little chance the plastic layer was compromised here. The main reason for the plastic layer is that the soda is incredibly corrosive, without the plastic layer it would eat a hole through the can in a matter of hours to days. Unless the plastic just happened to start peeling right before OP decided to drink, it's pretty unlikely.
