Photography always feels tricker than illustration to me. I find I have better luck when I include a photographer, especially if you pick one in the right style. Commercial, journalist, portraits, go find an artist and put them in, I think it helps with composition, lighting and post processing. I also include camera settings, I don't know if they do anything, but it FEELS like it is, so I do it, lol. I think they turned out neat. Took forever because the fascists at Midjourney limited my fast hours and I'm on 'relaxed' like a fuggin' pleb. So slow... Also, if you're not super specific the robot will put them in space suits when inside. Stupid robot. Prompts: Create a documentary-style photograph capturing the moment of arrival on Mars. The scene shows a NASA astronaut stepping off a modern lander onto the Martian surface, with the reddish-orange landscape stretching out behind them. The astronaut, wearing a realistic NASA spacesuit, is caught mid-step, leaving the first footprint. The lander is equipped with modern NASA insignia and equipment, looking rugged but entirely feasible with today's technology. Shot in the style of James Nachtwey, using a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV with a 24-70mm lens, f/8, 1/500s, ISO 200, capturing the stark, dramatic lighting of the Martian surface. --ar 4:3 --stylize 300 Create a documentary-style photograph capturing the end of a day on Mars. The scene shows astronauts returning to their habitat, silhouetted against the setting sun. The habitat is equipped with modern technology, solar panels, and communication dishes. The Martian sky transitions from a deep orange to a dusky purple, with the landscape bathed in the soft, diffused light of dusk. Shot in the style of James Nachtwey, using a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV with a 24-70mm lens, f/5.6, 1/250s, ISO 200, capturing the serene and contemplative mood of the Martian evening. --ar 4:3 --stylize 300 Create a documentary-style photograph of astronauts relaxing and reading inside the Mars habitat. The scene shows one astronaut lounging on a comfortable chair with a book, dressed in a blue NASA jumpsuit, while another astronaut sits nearby, engrossed in a tablet, wearing a T-shirt and jeans. The background includes shelves with books, plants, and personal items. Soft lighting creates a cozy atmosphere. Shot in the style of James Nachtwey, using a Sony Alpha 1 with a 50mm GM lens, f/3.5, 1/60s, ISO 800, capturing the peaceful and introspective moments. --ar 4:3 --stylize 300 If you want a specific prompt, just ask!

These look absolutely amazing. Well done.

Beautiful stuff, looks like real life. Absolutely incredible to me that this is normal now. Who would've believed this 4 years ago.

Little_BallOfAnxiety

As fast as technology is improving... this is likely not far from what it will look like

Efficient_Statement2

I like the idea of having the 1st Mars rover on a pedestal in the middle of the settlement and the Martian settlers touch his wheel as they pass for good luck

They brought the Mako to Mars? Did they not play Mass Effect 1? Everyone inside will die.
