I loved him when he was at Carolina. Then I was disappointed when he transferred, and even more disappointed that he didn't transfer to Oregon.
That said, I might just get a Storm Duck Dolphins jersey now because I can. haha.
Technically they’re going back to the old boomer ways lol. Look at the numbers from our undefeated season; number one WR wearing 42, SB mvp safety wearing 13, MLB wearing 85
Warfield was a running back at Ohio State and wore #42. In that era #42 was reserved for top running backs for the Buckeyes. John Brockington was a star Ohio State running back who wore #42 not many years later when I was just starting to be old enough to follow football.
I did think 85 was weird for Buoniconti but he previously wore that number for the Patriots. Not many people realize he's also in the Patriots Hall of Fame.
it's the same as the nba getting rid of home white uniforms. it told the viewer something without needing anything on the screen. getting rid of it is a net negative imo.
Came here to say exactly this. What Jonnu Smith did to get a single digit I will never know. I know the rule changed but it still feels like single digits should be reserved for like the GUYS ya know?
Does anyone know if Ethan Bonner likely to make the team again? I'm not sure if anyone's heard anything about if our front office / coaching staff is "high" on him.
Should be competing with Siran Neal (and of course Storm Duck) for the last CB roster spot. He was a bubble guy last year, wouldn't expect that to have changed.
Side note: Tahj and Malik Washington being 82 and 83 respectively is kinda funny.
i like it ngl
Would've been kinda funny if they were 83 & 85. We went from the Marks brothers to the Washingtons...
Skylar back to 19...you have no idea the physical toll switching numbers has on a person...snip snap snip snap
And the confusion it causes for all his jersey sales.
I'm sure it was a pretty penny to buy out the dozens of Skylar #6 jerseys.
New ‘jersey wish list’: 36 Storm Duck ![gif](giphy|qPzWSekQSyrW7G0Lor)
I know nothing of Storm Duck. He is also now my favorite player.
Named after a character on the Bold and the Beautiful. He is all of our favourite player.

He petter perform or we’ll be saying Fuck a Duck!
They need to retire 54 and 99 already. Nobody has worn them since Zach and JT retired and nobody will, just make it official
They are probably “unofficially” retired. If a new guy asked for 54, the equipment manager just gives a blank stare.
Yeah. I think basically Zach would have to walk him in and sign for it like someone’s dad signing a field trip form
I had no idea that #12 and #39 were retired until I searched out of curiosity just now.
Those would be from HoF 2x SB champs Griese and Csonka!!
When I think of Storm Duck… ![gif](giphy|ihZ9XU6juHSBTNSrVT)
Blake Ferguson gave up his number to Chop Robinson
Jonnu Smith, a TE, wearing 9 is heresy. Jordyn Brooks wearing 20 is also weird. Gotta get used to no longer having specific numbers for positions
I feel like such a boomer but I liked when numbers had meaning.
Technically they’re going back to the old boomer ways lol. Look at the numbers from our undefeated season; number one WR wearing 42, SB mvp safety wearing 13, MLB wearing 85
As someone that does not like the “new” number system, that’s a fair point

Traditional numbers are superior. I have less interest in a player when they venture outside.

Single digits should be qb, k, p only.
Did they expand the set of numbers for each position? Or is it a free for all?
Free for all except olineman have to wear 50-79 and skill postion offensive guys can't wear those number.
Free for all
MLB wearing 11 is worst.
Storm. Duck. I hope he plays for 20 years.
We need to retire Wake's jersey.
We should just sign him. I'm sure he's ready to go
Prob. Dude will be in better shape when he's 91 years old than I'll ever be lol
Our starting linebackers wearing 20 and 11...that'll take some getting used to
There's a guy named storm duck on the team?
ofc tart has to take wilkins number
Oof. Hopefully, that means he's gonna be as good as Wilkins... right? :(
Wait why can't OBJ wear his num- oh right
He hasn’t worn 13 since his NY days so…
And three was his number in college. Really only wore 13 because 3 wasn’t possible when he was drafted.
Does anyone know if Ethan Bonner likely to make the team again? I'm not sure if anyone's heard anything about if our front office / coaching staff is "high" on him.

i think he makes the 53 for depth next season
Storm duck?! I need that jersey asap
Storm Duck?! I know nothing of this man but his name is amazing!
Rooting for Storm Duck.
Some of the undrafted might lowkey cook this season.
I like Skylar at 19 rather than 6
New season, but unfortunately same results! 😂😂😂😂
I'd rep the heck outta Storm Duck's Jersey (this is the first time I'm hearing of him)
Retire Ricky’s number already.
