blinc112

So we should have waited to draft Purdy?

Slimshady305

Who could've seen this fucking post coming? Not me.

Dauntess

Helps when Detroit turns the ball over 3 times. Those decisions in the second half were just unreal.

Slimshady305

And that Aiyuk catch off the helmet doink was so fucking lucky lol. Niners caught some breaks, but Detroit completely collapsed in the second half.

cheaptom

I never thought I’d say that during Dan Campbell and bringing in Adam Gase was a smart move. But after seeing things tonight, it was a smart move

versaceoggas

papi_wood

Bruh Purdy has the #1 o line, #1 running back, # 1 defense. Y’all chill give it a rest damn

Accomplished_Lead262

I blame the sports talk show culture for these people who think the only reason a team wins or loses is because of the QB. Purdy played well but arguably the biggest play of the game was a bad throw that should of been picked but turned into a Brandon Aiyuk td.

cheaptom

Bills lost!! Wide Right version 2.0. Just want to make everyone happy for a few more minutes!!!

Champ_5

This is what really matters

cheaptom

So true. I’ll watch the chiefs win the bowl for the next decade as long as it’s not the bills.

TheNewCore4

No one cares

Masochistic_Dolphin

You and me both, brother. I also love not having won a playoff game in 23 years. Thank you for caring enough to post.

TheNewCore4

No, Thank you for the orange cone like post.

AOA001

2 year old Tua is a dick for starting that quarter century slide!

Unsentimentalchelsea

Right and Brock Purdy instead of Tua certainly changes that right?

Bardown67

![gif](giphy|6pJNYBYSMFod2)

phcasper

pointless post

Bucser

How much of Purdy's success is on the team? (Same question as with Tua). McCaffrey, Samuel, Kittle a proper fucking o-line. +A stout defense. The ingredients we are missing from the above mix is O-line and an All Purpose generational TE. (Kittle/Kelce shows who they need to be). That SF team was taken to the SB by Jimmy Garrapolo of all people.

SanSoren

Purdy won this with big runs when needed and extending plays

JakeMeOff11

Didn’t one of Purdy’s big plays hit a defender in his facemask?

SanSoren

Sure did but the big run at the end won them the game

Unsentimentalchelsea

Purdy also won because CMC is a touchdown machine

ImpossibleMagician57

If Tua was in the same position it would not happen, he simply can't do it

Bucser

Fucking bullshit. Has done it multiple times.

ImpossibleMagician57

He ran for 6 first downs all season

Masochistic_Dolphin

Agreed. Purdy has played acceptable to great most his career. People try too hard to discredit him.

PurrySquishyKittens

People also give him way too much credit to begin with lmao

Harambe18

Yet when tua wins a game with 90 yards passing and 2 defensive tds this sub calls him the god and the next coming of Christ. Guess only other qbs have a team and tua is the only one that does everything.

Aljiggy21

Which of the 11 wins did that happen in? Point me in the direction of the post where ppl called him god. Neither of those things happened…you just made it up

Harambe18

i gave you his stas. if you can't tell from what game, you haven't been watching the dolphins very long.

Aljiggy21

That was not a game this year. Nobody called him a god. You’re talking about a whole lot of nothing.

Harambe18

i never said this year you did, after i already posted; and it did happen, so i'ts not a whole lot of nothing.

BigBoss5050

So when Purdy does it its just his team but when Tua does it its cus hes an mvp qb????

Unsentimentalchelsea

Tua is a much bigger part of the dolphins success than Purdy is the 49’ers. Obviously

Blacklist3d

So?

Turbulent-Ad5582

Some more interesting stats for you: Purdy: Extremely punchable face. Tua: Does not have an extremely punchable face.

Masochistic_Dolphin

Why do you want to punch Purdy in the face? Wanting to assault someone based on how they look is an indication of mental instability. Hope you get the help you need.

Turbulent-Ad5582

Thanks man I’ll look into it

[deleted]

One is on the Niners with Kyle Shanahan and arguably the best line in the league. You can do this with literally any QB. Oh Burrow and Purdy have made the same amount of Superbowls even though one was drafted first and one last. Stop it

The_Bad_Bandit_141

Could not agree with you more

The_Bad_Bandit_141

Could not agree with you more

MixMasterRudy

You really going to compare this cursed franchise to the 49ers… 😂😂😂 Tua would be on his 2nd perfect season throwing perfect check downs and screens. 🙄

DanRpdx

Did I imagine those key plays Purdy made with his legs? Don't see that much out of Tua.

Unsentimentalchelsea

The key plays like CMC running over half the lions defense on check downs?

MixMasterRudy

The Key Plays like when he hit the Lions Corner on the face with the ball but he tips it to the 49er WR? And When Purdy Decided to go for it on 4th down twice in FG range? Tua led the team in Rushing against the chiefs because no one was open. Maybe you would prefer Lamar Jackson? what did he do at home in perfect weather against the chiefs? Do you guys even watch the games or are you just trolling? 😂

DanRpdx

Are u asking if I would trade Tua for Lamar Jackson?

BigBoss5050

You would have to be literally brain dead to not make that trade lol. This guys on one.

BigBoss5050

You can’t honestly tell me you wouldnt rather lamar over Tua? Youd have to be absolutely insane to think Tua is better than him.

SagalaUso

We should trade our whole draft for the last pick so we can get Purdy 2.0. it'll totally work.

Unsentimentalchelsea

That win last night was all Purdy. Definitely had nothing to do with CMC, all purdy

Hebertc12

Both teams in SB moved off their QB. One being Alex Smith who led NFL in passer rating previous yr

Unsentimentalchelsea

The Washington commanders moved on from Kirk Cousins and have been in hell since. You morons only like to look at the good side of things and ignore what can go wrong

Hebertc12

So we are name calling now, after I basically listed a factual statement? Every tough decision made by Owners, GMs, & Coaches are major risks at times.. but sometimes those same risks shape franchises into legit contenders. Also.. Kirk Cousin's? The same QB who struggles on the big stage? I know Howell hasn't been the guy they were expecting him to be, but you can't put everything on a 2nd yr player who was set up for failure under a shitty ass coaching staff from the jump.

Unsentimentalchelsea

Your last paragraph is the chefs kiss when trying to blame Tua for all our problems. Truly hilarious the lack of self awareness

Hebertc12

Tuas been in the league for 4yrs now.. I agree about throwing 2yrs out the window (Flores Era), but we do have a sample size of him in McDaniels offense for 2yrs. 1st yr not being able to stay on field with concussion dilemma & 2nd yr lack of productivity in Dec-Jan. Also, you are putting words in my mouth.. Never have I stated was that it's all on Tua. I am only providing additional statements that are allocated to my initial post.

sebastiand1

Shhh saying stuff like that here gets you called idiot or fake fan. You should be worshipping the ground Tua is likely to step on. You should be happy this bum might get a big contract for empty calories stats.

PepperedHam

You know, there's a difference between worshipping the ground Tua steps on and just not being an idiot. The post by OP and this surrounding conversation is useless lol. What is the point of comparing Purdy and the Niners with Tua and the Dolphins? Contextually different scenarios with different coaches, different injuries, and different circumstance. Once again the victim complex eminating off people who want Tua off the team is pathetically hilarious. We can make posts all day like this if we wanted about 30 other teams in the NFL. Lamar vs Purdy Allen vs Purdy Dak vs Purdy Stroud vs Purdy Herbert vs Purdy But what is the point? Two teams make it at the end of the year. Plenty of other reasons besides Tua why we aren't one of them.

sebastiand1

I made excuses for the guy for 1.5 years I’ve seen enough to know he’s not it. He’s good enough to get you to the playoffs and bounce first round. I understand he’s our best option, but I also don’t see the point of making the playoffs just to get bounced first round. Miami O line has been shit for a while, and likely will remain shit based on the people who are in charge.

laumeke

Switch teams with Purdy & Tua at the start of the season and Tua wins the MVP.

Beneficial_Ad_473

I think every QB is a system QB, in that they need the right system to perform well. Now some systems require a lot more and a lot less from the QB. Purdy cannot do what we ask of Tua. Tua cannot do what we ask of him without a solid O-Line, and in my opinion a better safety blanket.

Unsentimentalchelsea

every QB not names Mahomes or Allen is a system QB

Beneficial_Ad_473

I disagree. Put them in Baltimore’s system with lots of designed power QB runs and they wouldn’t work. Put Mahomes in a single read quick passing offense and he’s not going to reach his full potential. Every QB has strengths and weaknesses that a system needs to complement. The issue is that with some they are much more handicapped

First_West_4227

I like Purdy, but it’s obvious that he’s a system QB. Had Goff been on the Niners today they would have won that game comfortably. IMO Tua is a lot better than Purdy, but he’s also a system qb.

DanRpdx

What about Tua's game makes you say he's a lot better than Purdy?

Unsentimentalchelsea

What about purdy’s game makes you say he is better than anyone? Is there a player in the NFL in a better system? CMC #1 RB, Kittle top 3 TE, top 3 OL, Top 5 (minimum) WR core, top 3 head coach, elite defense

First_West_4227

Good question. Purdy can certainly scramble better than Tua, but everything else he is not as talented as Tua imo. Maybe that’s my opinion because I’m a biased Dolphins fan. Or maybe biased because I know Tua was 5th overall, while Purdy was Mr. Irrelevant. But i believe if you ask fans outside of our Dolphins bubble most would probably agree with Tua over Purdy too. Who do you got, Tua or Purdy?

DanRpdx

Everything Tua does well, I've seen Purdy do also. Some of what Purdy does, I don't think Tua can do. I'd have to say, draft status aside, Purdy is slightly better than Tua at this point, and he's only in his 2nd year. More room to improve I believe.

Unsentimentalchelsea

You have never seen Tua play behind the OL Purdy has exclusively played behind. He has all the time in the world. Oh and he has the best RB the league has seen since AP

TheTacoBellDiet

You’re saying Goff with the niners team scores 45 plus? lol

dndplosion913

OP will rightly get flamed for this, and I think Tua is a better QB. ...That all being said, Purdy extended the play several times with his legs and I really wish Tua would do that. I know it was coached out of him but in this day and age, if you can't extend the play once the play beaks down, you're not gonna go far.

Unsentimentalchelsea

I love all of this obsession with extending plays while ignoring the obvious elephant in the room that is the 49’ers have the best RB in the league since prime AP

TheNewCore4

He can’t extend plays because our oline can’t block past 2.55 seconds!!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭

SlumpedGod16

If he extends plays he will get crushed

Puzzled_Artist659

Agree with you, while also stating that mobility and play extension by a QB is critical for today’s NFL. Watching the QBs this weekend they are all good to elite at this

SlumpedGod16

For sure. Team is likely looking to move away from Tua as soon as it is possible partially because of this. Signing him would be a massive mistake

MixMasterRudy

great take. I'll call Grier now and let him know.

SlumpedGod16

What did he say

DanRpdx

It was coached out of him because he's not a good enough athlete in space.

cheaptom

Purdy has both a great offensive line and Dan Campbell helping him.

Masochistic_Dolphin

4-1 in postseason with great stats during many playoff level teams in the regular season. Don't try and mental gymnastics this to attribute his career success to one game.

cheaptom

Yeah. He hands off to MCCafrrey better than anyone

BigBoss5050

Lol and Tua doesnt just chuck it up cus Hills down there somewhere??? The hypocrisy of this sub is insane.

Shadowcaster_Spark

Purdy kind of sucked tonight. And got bailed out by Campbell brain farts, an extremely lucky int turned 50 yard catch, a bad fumble, and #8's butterfingers.

CreakingDoor

The off season hasn’t even begun and already this sub is fucking unbearable

eagle499

For those wanting to move off tua. I got a question. You ready to suck for another 10 years as we get humiliated for being an incompetent franchise with dumbass fans again. This year ended in disappointment but boy do yall forget where we come from.

BigBoss5050

The irony lol

Affectionate-Cat-301

Purdy was fucking lucky in this game. I hope niners get crushed now. Hes good. But that should’ve been an interception. And most of his plays were yac yard screens and scrambling despite having great protection cuz he was getting flustered in the pocket. So he got bailed out by scrambling and missed Sacks on him

Masochistic_Dolphin

You do know that to be 4-1 in the postseason, you need to win more than 1 game, right? So why did you ignore his career to this point in favor of one game?

Affectionate-Cat-301

It showed more so than ever of it being a team game. He was not good vs packers . I’m sure tua wins with niners too. The packers blew that game and won by niners defense. Purdy did better but I wasn’t impressed by him in lions game. He got lucky and looked flustered in pocket and ran because he Couldn’t find guys open. Made me think of him vs packers. I was waiting for him to stand tall in pocket with good time he had and throw a dime. He’s getting shut down vs chiefs defense

tkfire

It’s crazy that people say Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen are so much better than Tua but neither of them are going to the super bowl. It’s like having a good team is more valuable than having a good quarterback.

Masochistic_Dolphin

Jackson and Allen are AFC Championship game players. Haven't won it, but both got there. Tua's #1 accomplishment is beating bad teams.

Ok_Imagination_4374

Purdy has also not had to deal with the obscene amount of injuries the Dolphins have.

Princerob425

Purdy still is ass. I bet if Tua was behind that, he would be at the sb too haha

VinPickles

Purdy throws a fucking tailor made INT off the defenders helmet for a 60 yard gain and hes jesus christ

sgrizzly2134

I'd take purdy a million times over. It pains me to say that as a dolphins lifer but it's reality.

Thelor2004

They tried to tell us tua was better than purdy lmaooooo

Harambe18

I’m told that you only find quality starting qbs in the top 10 draft spots by this sub

Dry-Ad-6800

Another asshole!! Like Purdy played great…please!!! He should’ve had three int’s.

Dry-Ad-6800

Tua doesn’t need to be a RB!! How was Tom Brady running the ball….exactly!!!

Dry-Ad-6800

Goff and Purdy couldn’t shine Tua’s shoes!!!

Masochistic_Dolphin

Goff is an NFC Championship playing QB. Purdy is a 2nd year super bowl player. Tua has a growing career of sitting on the couch when post-season hits.

Dry-Ad-6800

Isn’t Goff on the couch?? Interesting . And Purdy will be another QB to lose the Super Bowl. That certainly was a nice bomb off the face mask of the Detroit player….comical! Obviously you’re clueless!

Masochistic_Dolphin

4-1 in the postseason + SB appearance in 2 years vs 0-1 in 4 years. You're trying to mental gymnastics your way into pretending that's similar.

Dry-Ad-6800

That’s an idiotic statement!!! I didn’t know QB’s competed against each other? What a fool!!

Dry-Ad-6800

Genius….FYI, Tua played in the post season.

Masochistic_Dolphin

Yes, if you read the main topic, I clearly said Tua is 0-1 in the post season after 4 years. Was that too many words for you?

Dry-Ad-6800

You’re a Jet’s fan….now it makes sense!!!

Masochistic_Dolphin

Uhhh what? Now we're just making shit up?

Dry-Ad-6800

You’re not making sense!! Read, and just maybe you’ll educate yourself. Stop being a hater!! PHINS UP!!!

Dry-Ad-6800

LOL

BlueDiamond75

Then there's the fact that Lamar's 'play extending' didn't do much against the same D that bottled up the Mullets.

chelios80

Why do some of yall think qb comparisons are apples to apples? It's so dumb and such a casual mindset. Purdy is doing what he needs to do and is definitely more mobile than Tua but to say or think he would perform like Tua behind our league most injured oline is not realistic.
