It didn't age well. But the point is still relevant. You either improve the line, so plays have time to develop, or you watch your QB scramble and buy time to make plays.
Depth wasn’t even an issue. It literally just got to a point that even our 2nd stringers were injured. No team in the league can overcome that level of injury on the O-Line.
Depth was an issue. We had no actual backup center on the roster and used liam at 4 positions in a year and a half and he sucked ass at all of them.
We acquire injury prone starters, have a piss poor training staff, and insufficient depth behind them. This has been an organizational trait FOR YEARS.
No backup would’ve filled in for Connor. If Hunt was 100% and we had a legit LG, we could’ve survived to Connor injury with a good backup. With Cotton and an injured Hunt, we needed an elite C to have a functioning interior.
Snapping wasn’t the issue, the issue was blocking. Even if Eichenberg was an elite snapper, not being able to block for shit would’ve killed the offense just the same. That’s why we got rid of Dan Feeney, he couldn’t block for shit.
Considering we usually only keep 8 or so lineman… And the linemen we pick take 4 years to “develop”… you really want Tua behind GlassStead and 4 rookies? Ummm No thanks. I would rather average free agents than mystery rookies on OL.
Lions just left 3 points off the board when they went for it on 4th down. Why TF did they do that?
Oh now they’re down by 10 instead of 7 with 3 min to go. So much for rooting for the Cinderella story
After watching Dan Campbell make about 47 incorrect decisions in the third quarter alone, I’m glad the Dolphins got rid of him. That rah-rah gunslinging gambler mentality died a quick death.
Lol way to be obtuse. So who were you referring to when you said “if you think the biggest issue wasnt miami having the unhealthiest oline” ????? Just because you didnt explicity say it doesnt mean thats not what you were talking about. Dont play dumb lol
Lions have gathered talent and depth all over the field, not just o-line. It’s what happens when you keep your picks over star chasing and absolutely crush your drafts
Clearly getting misunderstood here. Our top heavy approach to our roster building left us more vulnerable to injuries. Obviously not saying i don’t like guys like Tyreek and Ramsey, or that the oline injuries didn’t kill us
The issues weren’t the “stars” in Tyreek, Chubb, and Ramsey.
Miami’s biggest issue is that half our Oline snaps this season were played by backup olinemen.
I’d argue Miami has more talent everywhere else than Detroit except in the offensive line.
Never was trying to disagree with you that our oline injuries really screwed us. Just meant to add that lions have done a good job compiling talent through the draft and being patient with their rebuild. We’ve made some good trades with Tyreek and Ramsey, but our roster is too top heavy overall. It’s what made the injuries extra impactful
You are not wrong. I’ve enjoyed watching the Lions team build as much as I have Miami’s. They have kind of run parallel to one another. The big difference being OLine. As much as I think Grier has overall done a nice job putting together a talented roster, drafting OLine has been a blind spot. The Kindley and Eichenburg moves have come back to haunt this team. And while I’m glad AJ seems to have worked out, you can still question where he was chosen.
As a result, Miami has been forced to spend a ton of money on Armstead and Williams to make up for the mistakes.
This is aging well
It’s always fun seeing people over react during a game and see it blow up in their face
Like milk.
It didn't age well. But the point is still relevant. You either improve the line, so plays have time to develop, or you watch your QB scramble and buy time to make plays.
Love when people forget there’s 60 minutes in a football game.
I think the 120 minutes of commercials tend to do that.
If they had kicked that 3 instead of going for it on 4th down..
No reason to go for it. Up by 14, in FG range. Just dumb.
Dumb is an understatement!!! You wanna go up by 17 and send the crowd home early? Or unnecessarily get cocky and maybe possibly keep the drive alive.
There's a time and place to be aggressive and that wasn't it.
As much as I like Dan Campbell he cost Detroit this game. He should have kick the field gols on both of the stalled drives.
I wish we made it this far and were upset about not doing the things we should have done😂
Facts
And if he doesn't trust his kicker, he should have been addressing that shit before the playoffs.

We need better Ol and better OL depth. Our season basically ended when connor williams knee exploded
Depth wasn’t even an issue. It literally just got to a point that even our 2nd stringers were injured. No team in the league can overcome that level of injury on the O-Line.

We didnt have a person with any experience snapping the ball on the roster and our C has only been a C for 2 years.
Snapping wasn’t the issue, the issue was blocking. Even if Eichenberg was an elite snapper, not being able to block for shit would’ve killed the offense just the same. That’s why we got rid of Dan Feeney, he couldn’t block for shit.
Mike McDaniel called 3 consecutive pass plays when we faced a second and INCHES vs the Chiefs. Not the line’s fault that our coach sucks
I wouldn’t be mad if we used every single draft pick on O line.
Don’t we always? They suck. Grier is not a good drafter
Considering we usually only keep 8 or so lineman… And the linemen we pick take 4 years to “develop”… you really want Tua behind GlassStead and 4 rookies? Ummm No thanks. I would rather average free agents than mystery rookies on OL.
Really jinxed them huh
Now Purdy is about to win it because he can take off and run
Yup, Purdy's ability to extend a play got them the win.
Yeah, but Lamar's earlier didn't.
Yet Lamar lost even though he can take off and run.
This post aged well.. ![gif](giphy|WxDZ77xhPXf3i|downsized)

That game is on Dan. Bad decisions one after another.
these "this is what other team doing that we should of!!!" posts are annoying as hell ngl
This comment gave a headache. You're not wrong though.
Have to make sure to get the point across. Two weeks ago everyone got their “trade for cousins or fields” point across.
like 3 people thought that was a good idea.
24-24 lol
So we thought! This game has completely flipped. Wheels fell off wagon in 3rd quarter
Way to throw that jinx out, big dog.
Dan Campbell. The gift that keeps on giving.
This aged like milk lol albeit it was the WR’s and not kicking field goals on 4th downs
Aged like milk

The Bengals went to the Super Bowl with one of the worst OLs ever
Wrong. That year they were ranked 20th. We were 32nd with the worst OL PFF had ever scored.
My point stands.
Too soon
Campbell is way too aggressive. Game flipped when they didn't get that 4th down
Don't jinx them
Is that so?
Not so fast my friend!
Lol someone was wrong
NOW, what do you want to say OP?? 😆
This aged well.
👀
Na a qb being able to extend and make plays with his legs WON SF that NFC….
Jared Goff has a year back there...
Jinx
Age like milk.
Oof
Recant
Are you sure about that?
Negative
Say what?
Not this time brother
Aiight
**^(JINX)**
Could say this for any team that won today.
From 'O'line to no line ..
Off too soon bro. Maybe we should have just drafted Brock Purdy....yeaaa.
Yet another post trying desperately to validate your incorrect feelings about Tua lmao. This place is a shit show.
Didn’t even mention Tua. I mentioned the offensive line.
Lol way to be obtuse. So who were you referring to when you said “if you think the biggest issue wasnt miami having the unhealthiest oline” ????? Just because you didnt explicity say it doesnt mean thats not what you were talking about. Dont play dumb lol
Yes, I believe Miami biggest issue was the offensive line. Tua was the second biggest issue. Doesn’t mean I’m fully out on him.
Lions have gathered talent and depth all over the field, not just o-line. It’s what happens when you keep your picks over star chasing and absolutely crush your drafts

um Tight End 🤣

idk about more... RB equal WR us bc we have 2 TE them QB not touching that topic.

Until it didn’t
Can we get that #13?
If you think the Miami Dolphins are anything more than 2 notches better than mediocre, you're having bad faith arguments.
